This is just amazing! Remember when any movement of the Saturn Five was a major event and here SpaceX is just moving these massive machines all around as needed.
Hello John. I like your easy going style of commentary, you and the all the team at NASASpaceflight do a great job. So from me stuck in the UK thanks for all you do.
👍 Nah man, that wasn't a magnet sweeper, there was already something laying there and the dude extended a measuring tape down toward it. See where your comin' from though.
Another great commentary! Loved the comments about the payload door. Also can’t wait to see what the launch mount will look like. Can’t even imagine it!
hey @nasaspaceflight it would be real cool if you could add a little "map" pointing the location of the cameras and the angle....like a little cone... just a suggestion! love your work!!
Wow, Jack is kayaking fast past Massey's while holding a camera really steady. Well done! 🙂🛶 Guy on the road side looked like a pipe on the ground and the guy had a measuring tape out.
10:15 The first thing that popped in my head when seeing the pez dispenser(payload bay) was Bender from Futurama😂 Which in my opinion would be an appropriate name for one of these ships.
Ever since they planned to build a second tower, I wanted to suggest that they install a rail/track behind the pivot of the chop sticks. The purpose is to enable tower2 to handle 12 meter ships destined to be orbiting tankers.
MUTED no option available. Don’t get me wrong, I love John and the crew and he has a great voice. I just love watching the goings-on at Starbase as if I’m there. I’ve been watching for years and prefer the ambient sound as it used to be.
10:19 That red flag/panel to the right of the men marks the lifting point, right? What is the square panel a ~meter above it with empty space around it? Made of tiles but the center is raised. Could this be where a retractible landing pin will be? It's in line as a proper balance point. I figure this flight it's just the cover, for testing. Not a Starlink antenna, right? No point in putting one on the edge of the plasma flow.
I dont understand how is it possible for the chopsticks to grab de ship doing the same thing that they did with booster. Ship seems to require much more precision and finesse. If they do the same thing that they did with the booster won't work, and if does a lot of tiles will be destroyed.
I don't understand NSF's insistence on saying "Pad A" and "Pad B." IT IS PAD WEST AND PAD EAST. FOR A REASON. (gasp for air." 39a is OBVIOUSLY NEXT. Then they're gonna REDO Pad East... Please, for the love of whatever God you pray to... get on board. PS - Who do you think is watching these videos that needs to have a BQD explained to them? ❤
The Pad A/Pad B nomenclature is newer and in more documentation than Pad West. Pad West has only been seen on an old label for an OLM part. If SpaceX starts using it again, and using it more than Pad B that's a different story.
Will NEVER EVER get tired of listening to John Das Galloway
Agree, will never get sick of listening him
Agreed; just not on THESE videos. Ambient is best! 😉
You're entitled to your opinion of course but in this case it's wrong 😅@@Lensman864
@@Lensman864each to their own !
I fourth that!
Thank you very much Jack, John,Mary and the entire NSF team for the amzing updates and converage.
Okay, now we need Das to do these in front of a green screen so we can actually see what he's pointing at 😂
@@markw6509 Call it the Starbase Forcast.
Loved the booster catch. It was classic.
Success, there is no substitute.
Getting it right, the first time, Priceless!
Do it again to make sure it wasn't a fluke.
@iamaduckquack Yeah, they would work well on the Moon and Mars, too.
The tilt-up gave me a great perspective of the size of Starship! Massive :O
Only watch with commentary. It’s literally hilarious!
I love “Das narrations they make me laugh.😂
😂❤
This is just amazing! Remember when any movement of the Saturn Five was a major event and here SpaceX is just moving these massive machines all around as needed.
Hello John. I like your easy going style of commentary, you and the all the team at NASASpaceflight do a great job. So from me stuck in the UK thanks for all you do.
The "pez" door in that shot reminds me of Binder's visor.
😅 - Das
Great update, thanks guys!
10:08 extremely professional and technical explanation on the starlink pes-dispensor
Haven't seen it yet but gonna assume it isn't technical at all. 😂
Pez
The guys wrestling the pipe around were hilarious! @11:00
Hi John DAS good afternoon. Great and wonderful explanation. Great NSF team ❤❤
👍 Nah man, that wasn't a magnet sweeper, there was already something laying there and the dude extended a measuring tape down toward it. See where your comin' from though.
DAS in the past I would skip through video, but now I listen in its entirety.
The heat shield on ship 33 seems so much more refined. I have high expectations for its debut flight
Need the shirt - "Work continues on the Orbital Launch Mount".
Thanks NasaSpaceFlight!
Nah, I like the voice commentary - keep it rolling
Hands down best commentary on UA-cam
Narrated Summaries are great.
NSF,y'all rock! Peace
Another great commentary! Loved the comments about the payload door. Also can’t wait to see what the launch mount will look like. Can’t even imagine it!
I still lo e the DAS narration for WSBR Star Base radio. The soothing sounds of DAS coming to you mid week and ones one the weekend.
Appreciate the commentary guys!🎉
Great vid as all! Go V2!!
The internal iris reflection at 0:57 illustrates why so many UFOs have a diamond shape.
Thank you John. Always good!
Love the new commentary videos! :)
Best star base update 🎉
always enjoy the catch ups at the star base the NSF team do awesome work great job
Great narration as usual. Good work, Das👍🏻
Thank you for these wonderful videos! I was initially "anti-commentary" but you've grown on me. Just as Attention Deficit Ohh Shiny as the rest of us.
Hey, I'm a real person watching the videos 😅 Appreciate it! - Das
Everyone has their own preferences but I prefer the commentary. You can provide context not always apparent in the video.
DAS ist Lovely as usual
always awesome job das and the NSF crew can't wait for flight 6 always busy at StarBase
hey @nasaspaceflight it would be real cool if you could add a little "map" pointing the location of the cameras and the angle....like a little cone... just a suggestion! love your work!!
Wow, Jack is kayaking fast past Massey's while holding a camera really steady. Well done! 🙂🛶
Guy on the road side looked like a pipe on the ground and the guy had a measuring tape out.
Love the narrated. Thanks Das and crew!
Cant wait to see them to test the 9 raptor 3 engines on starship V2
Thanks, Das!
8:52 damn it looks GOOD
How did you know I needed a video to watch 4 minutes before I realized it?🧐😂
As everyone knows by now, Das-da-boss.
10:15 The first thing that popped in my head when seeing the pez dispenser(payload bay) was Bender from Futurama😂 Which in my opinion would be an appropriate name for one of these ships.
Beautiful!
Hello I'll have to catch up tomorrow once within Cornwall x
Jack still needs the kayak
Ain't no way I'm changing the audio track.
Seriously. I wasn't even watching these UPLOADS just because it was ambience alone. The commentary is a HUGE VALUE ADDITION to the content. ❤️
@@fayaZZayaf Nah ... ambient is best despite John's excellent work.
Thanks for the interesting commentary Das. Great work by Mary 🌺 and Jack as usual. And thanks Rocket Ranch.
Ever since they planned to build a second tower, I wanted to suggest that they install a rail/track behind the pivot of the chop sticks. The purpose is to enable tower2 to handle 12 meter ships destined to be orbiting tankers.
Beyer on a barge at last! 😀
Ideally it should be 'Beyer barging barbecuing bacon' ... 🫡
MUTED no option available. Don’t get me wrong, I love John and the crew and he has a great voice. I just love watching the goings-on at Starbase as if I’m there. I’ve been watching for years and prefer the ambient sound as it used to be.
In the video settings, there's a second audio track setting that has exclusively ambient audio.
John! Who's John? But hi Das 😁
Either way ha! -Jas
Now I want a complete video on "Hank Hill"...
I think they turn the booster grid fins while coming through the high bay door because so they are better visible from the ground.
Jack FINALLY in a kayak!!😂😂😂
5:22 WOAH WOAH
I'm a bit sad there was no stream for S33 rollout
But tbh the final launch rollout will be an incredible moment
Starlink Door = Gorts Eye
5:20 the WHAT mixer? 🤨🤨🤨
john, you need to do some Das art with these!
I’m waiting for them to license an actual Pez dispenser. I’ll take 10. 😊
Thought the big crane was staying until January?
I had to do a double take on that intro 😆
If it hasn't already been said, that close up of the pez dispenser at about 10:15 looks like Bender
Our nexst home on Mars little soon.
Pirate Cruise, Jack?
He wasn’t tapping that tile, he was erasing the chalk with the side of his hand. 😊
I got healthy from listening to the narration 👌👌
Hey! Could you please also put the date when the orange text boxes show up? Thanks!
11:47 get a fancy laser pointer-themed cursor lol
it would mess with the ambient audio version tho
looks like we have a new camera angle on the nosecone of ship 33
imo they should name some of them like the space shuttle and crew dragon
its a gauge to check the gap between tiles..!
10:19 That red flag/panel to the right of the men marks the lifting point, right? What is the square panel a ~meter above it with empty space around it? Made of tiles but the center is raised. Not a Starlink antenna, right? No point in putting one on the edge of the plasma flow.
Can you create a 3d video from all the different camera angles taken of flight 5?
👍👍👍
mentioning leg day - actually the arms should be called fly machine
damn steam boat service yard turned starship service yard lol
Love it
are B2 ship aft flaps smaller too or it is an illusion.
I like listening to you 😍😘😍🥰
It pumps propane AND propane accessories?!
To be honest, if there was no commentary i wouldn't watch..
Please never stop talking 👍
Woooo!
Pinning the gap for proper spacing?
Das' wife spends all day trying to change the audio track at home. lol.
Sit right back and will tell you the tail a tale of these boosters three. The time they went to space and back on a three minute tour.
I bet there's two people who turn the commentary off.
I'm sr what did you say at 5:22
that's not the main gate, it's the star gate
tap tap "that's going nowhere"
I dont understand how is it possible for the chopsticks to grab de ship doing the same thing that they did with booster. Ship seems to require much more precision and finesse. If they do the same thing that they did with the booster won't work, and if does a lot of tiles will be destroyed.
Love IT ❤
So...how do I change the audio track? Ha. Just kidding, sorry😂
What does an empty Starship weigh ... Starship...
