I'm 59 and convinced by my daughter to visit Greta van Fleet concert in Amsterdam. Glad I did! Since then I love all there is from them, can’t get enough
Thanks the first song was written when he was about 12 or 13 and recored at age 15. "HEAT ABOVE" was done about a year ago so about 8 or 9 years a part. They just keep getting BETTER. Thank You for your reaction.
Verdy, welcome to the Greta Van Fleet "Peaceful Army." They are incredible in concert like in another hemisphere! Hope to hear more reactions to more Greta. May I suggest "The Weight Of Dreams?" Peace and Love.
Can't stop watching these reactions videos to GVF, just to see other people enjoying this incredible music. I think you're one of my favorites so far; just to see the delight and excitement in your smile, really adds to the atmosphere of the music. I'm sure you've figured out by now, but lead singer Josh Kiszka's voice is like a 96.5% match to Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. And the instrument you were SO close to naming at the open of Heat Above was the "organ" lol.
Heard this song 2 days ago while driving in Queensland Australia, only way I knew who they were was my new car digital radio displayed band and song name , absolutely a huge fan, and your reaction vid is the best I have seen .....Loved watching it .....kracka
Lots of rock singers are up in that tenor range because it gets up and over the other instruments. Same for battalion leaders in the Roman Legions. Sonically it pierces through almost everything.
You can buy the vinyl!! The album is Battle at Gardens Gate and it is AMAZING!!!!! They have so many great songs. Since you are a guitar player, you should check out Weight of Dreams. Jake is a beast to be so young!! Super great guitar solo (long solo) I love the performance live @ Red Rocks. Any performance @ Red Rocks is unbelievable. Flower Power is another one. Also please watch Broken Bells live candlelight sessions, Tears of Rain live, Built by Nations live VEVO, Black Smoke Rising, Safari Song, Age of Man, Age of Machine, and you will really enjoy When the Curtain Falls. I love watching people when they hear them for the first time. We saw them live in August and they have so much talent & energy. Thank you for the reaction. And please keep going down the Greta Van Fleet rabbit hole.
Great reaction, I only knew the name of the band but never listened to them. "Heat above" is fantastic and a trip down the memory lane. I forgot how great 70s rock can be. Thank you for reminding me and please continue to explore different bands and genres. Your reactions make it fun to discover new music and listen to it without/less prejudice.
@@bullymaguire5838 true, I already listened to other songs, too, great band. I especially like when they use a piano/organ. Can you recommend a live concert I should check out?
I love your reaction! Many won't react to this band for fear of copyright and because they sound to much like Led Zeppelin. I'm so glad to see someone react to them. My favorite GVF song is "Light My Love"
Great reaction. I love seeing someone actually 'listening' to them and their music. Please check out their live performances. They were born to perform on the stage. Keep up the great work and stay real and true. You are a breath of fresh air. Peace.
Greta Van Fleet is special, I too discovered them entirely randomly because of their tour with The Pretty Reckless, and instantly loved their old school rock sound and of course the singer's voice! It was equally amazing live, very cool band!
Smiling the entire time..."Nostalgia" feel .. yes indeed. The entire album Battle at gardens gate is amazing. Haven't heard a rock album that takes u on a journey in a looong time. My favorite song is built by nations.
This band is from Frankfurt Michigan the singer and lead guitarist are twins and the Bass player is their baby brother the drummer is a childhood friend these guys have been compared to Led Zeppelin very cool band 😎
When I first heard these guys a while back, I thought Led Zepplin reborn. They are 3 brothers and a buddy from the same high school. They named the band after an older lady from ther home town. Checkout the song 'When the curtain falls'.
I discovered this Fantastic Group in their hometown of Frankenmuth, Michigan 6 years ago. Their lates album on vinyl , Battle at Garden's Gate ,is magnificent.

Je suis pas vraiment à Sherbrooke. J'ai acheté le hoodie quand ma sœur a gradué, mais ces une université que je veux aller plus tard. Sinon le reste des points en commun sont exact. 😂
Wonderful band of talented brothers including Danny though not really a brother. You should react to other songs of theirs. Stardust Chords or built by nations from the recent album or when the curtain falls or Age of man from their previous album. They never disappoint! Love your channel.
You should try *The Warning* - 3 sisters whose music has roots in the 1970s (like Greta van Fleet) but with grunge and punk and even some k-pop influences mixed in. 'Evolve', 'Disciple', and 'Animosity' are some of their new stuff.

Sounds like a Hammond organ with the tremolo engaged. The lead singer has been compared to Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin, based on their early work (first song). But when an interviewer asked about that, he panicked (IMHO) and denied that Plant influenced him, that he just did it to make himself heard. Plant's reaction was like, "Well, I was thinking of reaching out to him, but if that's the case, there's no need." He sounded sad and I felt that too. But since then he has seemingly worked to develop more facets to his style, as in the second song. Which is a good thing. I gotta say the rest of the band excels too. The guitarist is a standout. BTW, when they played the South By SouthWest festival near Austin Texas for the first time, the guitarist was showing off playing the guitar behind his head and got his long hair tangled in the strings. A roadie (?) ran out and disentangled him so he could move the instrument back in front of him... but in all that, he continued playing and never missed a note!
Hi! Thank you for the great reaction! Did you get any tears? They have Heat Above on vinyl. Album name is The Battle At Garden's Gate, released 4/2020ö. It's very beautiful album.

One of my favorite "yodeling" songs. Here's another version of the song that brings the yodel vocal stylings even more forward. Josh Kiszka is certainly a unique vocalist and I hope he takes care of his voice so he has a long career. ua-cam.com/video/Art03IoSPgs/v-deo.html Also, check out "The Warning" if you like the classic rock vibe, start with this live track: ua-cam.com/video/K8VPX-diRl4/v-deo.html

When I first heard these guys, when this record came out, I could not stop talking about them. My wife and kids were like “are you done yet.” NO! You don’t understand what’s going on here!! Unfortunately, the constant comparisons to Zeppelin, I feel, kept them stuffed under the radar. They should be a household name, but they’re not. And they need a better drummer.
They are a dreadful parody of Zeppelin. Accomplished musicians but little more than a tribute band. The lyrics to that second song wouldn’t make it beyond the 5th form common room. Horrific.
