However, the video is only sharp and detailed in 2.7K30p resolution, the video in HD60p is totally oversharpened, full of artifacts and therefore absolutely unusable. But 2.7K30p is ok for my pur-pose. I'm looking forward to the test shots at the airfield during October. ;-))

I don't recommend anyone try pinching these fancy pants ones though, because their current owners won't be too happy about it 🤫😳🤣.
6:45 Lmao XDD What i get from all this is that this drone is kinda useless when it's more expensive than a Dji mini 2. The footage looks way oversharpened and pixelated, looking at the raw footage you provided.
It does the job it’s meant for. Everything is a trade off. For me, I prefer a smaller drone that takes footage good enough for my amateur non-cinematic vids 🤓
This drone is not in competition with DJI’s products, so cost comparisons don’t make sense. If you want what this drone does, you will not be looking at DJI, and vice-versa (coming from a guy with two DJIs and one of these Hover Cams).
the video quality comments are NOT about youtube or network quality/speed.. those comment relate to the fact that the camera is a generation old. it is 1080p at 60fps. to get 2K you need to drop down to 30fps, which is choppy on modern screens which are at least 60fps.. 30fps is basically pal/ntsc standard like old beta/vhs magnetic tape video cassettes. It's not even capable of 4K recording. today non-toy drone cameras that cost a few hundred dollars are expected to be 4K. hell, even $100 drones have 4k camera. that's why ppl are saying the quality is crap. 1080p videos are soo 2010. my opinion is - its got some good software, but the hardware lets it down, and at 1080P its not worth its price.
Quite a few people adjusted the player settings and the users they saw went away. I agree it’s not the best quality camera but it’s better than people were seeing via the UA-cam player compressing it.
One of the first things I do with action camera and the like is set them to 1080P, cos I can't be asked to deal with the massive file sizes and slow transfer rates of 4K. If you consider yourself some sort of professional vlogger than you should buy a high-end DJI and spend the time to calibrate the compass, update the battery firmware, accept today's new privacy policy, update the unit's firmware, update the app, calibrate the compass again cos you updated the unit, renew your flying license cos it's over 250g and then throw the thing in the cupboard and never use it again, like I did. This is a selfie drone, for showing your mates where you're fishing, or the new camp site, or the view when hiking through Greece. As such most people are gonna see your clips on their phone anyway, and 2.7k is more than enough to look back on your memories. Let me scroll up and see what this video is.. 720p. See?
@@bigglyguy8429 wrong, your fallacy of "everyone else is as useless as me" is invalid. some of us know how to operate modern equipment and own modern computers that transfer large 4K files in an instant .. have fun with your magnetic cassette tape computer straight outta the 80s. for starters, this video is in 4K, NOT in 720p, upgrade your ancient shit, boomer. it cant handle 2023.
There is absolutely *zero* wrong with 30fps. WTF. And 2.7k is plenty of resolution. How many people do you know that actually own a 4k TV, or have the internet bandwidth to take advantage of it? Yes, it would be nice to have all the highest tech (why not 8k so we can crop in, too, and 120fps so we can do slow-mo?). And for $100? That’s not to say the camera is great. It’s decent, maybe good. Probably at its best in hazy conditions without too much contrast, and I wish it had more adjustments for sharpness and a flatter profile. But jesus people, it’s $350 and is ready to do automated flight patterns and track you in about 10 seconds and fits in your freaking pocket.
Watched a vid the other day from a (in my view) very good Australian UA-camr where he decided not to get a drone, because he had become aware of the possible nuisance caused to others by the things. Made I fink. I do enjoy some good drone footage, but maybe something to be used sparingly? I understand the urge for someone looking to produce watched videos, and drone footage is de rigueur (ain't I posh/drunk...) but is it costing someone else's enjoyment of the outdoors? Dunno. Probably waffling. Enjoy your content and all the best etc... Pete.
I don’t use them in popular areas. On camps I’ve done my next go get as far away from other people as possible so hopefully nobody will hear it anyway 😆
@@daleyoutdoors I knew you were a good lad at heart. For a northerner.... I hope everyone is as responsible, it's not the buzz most of us want. Oh, and a thought on the Temu tent - would a coat of waterproof spray have solved its problems? Just another thought. I have them sometimes. Mostly bad ones... ATB and all that shite... 🤪
I forgot to add that this doesn't necessarily mean the drone is rubbish, just means it's less likely I'll ever buy one, even though the functions are very useful. One side question, what happens if you have to bring the drone in quickly? Is there an app function which can be used to bring it back.
It is worth it if you want to do quick, “interesting” (of course people disagree on that ;-)) selfie videos from a drone that folds up and fits in your pocket, weighs almost nothing and launches in about 10 seconds and automatically tracks you. The camera is not fabulous, but it’s plenty decent (and I’m picky) and there’s really no competition for the product’s overall features. But if it’s not for you, it’s not for you.
@@daleyoutdoors😂 got it. Still.. Feels like u hate it to a point that it becomes your UA-cam personality. Keep hating it, it’s comic. For a reference: @blacktailstudio
Your expectations are unreasonable. There is no drone made today that I know of that’s going to follow you “for hours” (nor would it be able to hold that much video at high res). Any drone that could do it would have huge batteries, and/or you would have to carry dozens of them.
Good morning this machine lacks hours of batteries to shoot to film. like if you want to jog for 1-hour in a beah this machine will fail battery will drain.... sadly even you buy 1 2 3 4567 batteries still you can't use it as you might need to stop jogging or walk or marathon and change the battery many many times they should be built for 1 hour or 2 hours shooting,.,.,.
I have a little camera that attaches to my shirt, Insta360 thing. With that I take short clips of around 10 seconds. To me this is the drone version of that, with short clips to stitch together, perhaps as part of a vid with the shirt camera, some stills etc. It's not some kind of dashcam meant to run for hours.
@@bigglyguy8429 For me, no, not expensive ( Home Depot in Black Friday was sale drone for $30 with 1080 camera , flying about same this toy), just my feelings, opinion (DJI drones, different world, not compared here).
@@mike.thomas Yep. Ironically enough the fun I've had with my Hover X1 has got me back into flying drones, so I've ordered a replacement battery for my old Mavic Air, as the 3 old batteries are now dead (DJI products are disposable...) But I know I'll ONLY use that drone when 4x4 camping or out on my sailboat, especially the boat as water is the one real weakness of the Hover. The rest of the time it will stay at home, whereas right now my Hover is sitting in my daily bag, ready to go whenever I feel like it. It really is apples to oranges, as they're entirely different machines for different uses.

I'm certain that there will be massively upgraded versions of it in the hands of various militaries around the World 😉.
I don't recommend anyone try pinching these fancy pants ones though, because their current owners won't be too happy about it 🤫😳🤣.
True 😆
Thanks for that. You’re a very patient man! 🤬👍
Not exactly cheap. Doesn't give much time in video either
the video quality comments are NOT about youtube or network quality/speed.. those comment relate to the fact that the camera is a generation old. it is 1080p at 60fps.
to get 2K you need to drop down to 30fps, which is choppy on modern screens which are at least 60fps..
@@daleyoutdoors personally i find 2K quite ideal for my purposes, but ppl do expect 4k in 60fps for that kinda money.
I boughtt a cheap 4K drone and got bored with it within 10 min, I will give it to my greatgrandson next time I see him.
It’s obvious that a lot of people weren’t watching the video hence all the questions that you already answered.................. in the video 🤷♂️
😆
300th Like from me.
Legend! 👌
Most of these questions make me lose brain cells. I mean, come on! You can read, listen, and use common sense (yes, that!)
as I've been told for over a decade, commen sense isn't that commen anymore. :{
If it was £150 then it would be well worth it, but at £395 on sale. Not really worth it, especially as the camera quality isn't that of a £395 device.
This drone is not very good, the audio synch is terrible.
The audio bit is a gimmick.
Funny how you answer the questions as if is your obligation and you hate it.
I do.
@@daleyoutdoorswhy do u do it then?
@@GabrielOliveira-mb9vq it was meant to be slightly numerous and sarcastic. Clearly failed 😆
@@daleyoutdoors😂 got it. Still.. Feels like u hate it to a point that it becomes your UA-cam personality. Keep hating it, it’s comic.
For a reference: @blacktailstudio
U sont know what your talk8ng about
I can spell though.
I like it if the drone follows me for hours and no problem with the batteries. hope one day... for 190 minutes only is a waste of time and many ...
Nobody wants to spend hours watching your ass.
Coming in 2187.
I have a little camera that attaches to my shirt, Insta360 thing. With that I take short clips of around 10 seconds. To me this is the drone version of that, with short clips to stitch together, perhaps as part of a vid with the shirt camera, some stills etc. It's not some kind of dashcam meant to run for hours.
in the uk they will fall under the rules for sub 250 gram drones lol rid anybody
Do you ever get fed up responding to comments?????
I don’t require a response to this comment.
It would be funny if he would respond
No.
@@daleyoutdoors Yes.
Overpriced toy. And looks like toy. Very limited flying distances too.
Yes. You said so two days ago…
You know what toys are? FUN! You know what DJI products are? NOT fun. This toy is too expensive for you? Awww.
@@bigglyguy8429 For me, no, not expensive ( Home Depot in Black Friday was sale drone for $30 with 1080 camera ,
flying about same this toy), just my feelings, opinion (DJI drones, different world, not compared here).
This is like most of the comments on the UA-cam ads. Ignorant. Wanting an apple to be an orange.
The insta360 Go3 is only 35grams or 1-1/4oz. Someone should definitely try this combo out! Your generic answer about cameras seemed very dismissive.
It was meant to be 😆
