Why shouldn't she act like this. It isn't impacting on your daily life, so why not. Just because you get older, it doesn't mean that you have to sit in a rocking chair, knitting. Good on her, she seems like a fun, interesting woman. I am 65 and can be extremely sensible when the need arises, but l certainly know how to have fun. Life is for living, and us oldies have as much right to enjoy it.
