Ray has to be my favorite let's player of all-time. He doesn't overreact, doesn't talk just to hear his voice, and is genuinely funny without trying to be. He also doesn't complain too much but when he does it's usually justified. There are exceptions to every rule and not every game is Ray's cup of tea, but he still does his best to put out enjoyable content. Thank you, Ray and Tina. I know you don't read UA-cam comments, and this is a comment of a fairly old video, but thanks for all the good times you've shared with me. Much love and support.
I just had this emotion when I went to watch a youtubers playthrough of RE7 after watching most of Ray's. this youtuber is a really intelligent guy, so I was looking forward to seeing him play it, but then he was talking just to fill the silence and he was overdoing his "overreaction for comedic purpose." It felt too much like a performance. obviously making videos and streaming are performances, but Ray stays natural and is just being himself, which is why he's so enjoyable to watch. it's like how some people are just enjoyable to be around even when they're not doing anything special.
rays ruined all other streamers and lpers for me I can only watch his stuff because he's so chill genuine and his streams are so nice to watch: no super overblown frequent alerts and just plays the game doesn't spend an hour just sitting there talking before he even loads up the game

Chris's samurai edge readies aim in an instant and is more accurate
Jill's samurai edge reloads faster and draws quicker but has less damage
Wesker's samurai edge readies slower than both but has almost 40-50% more damage than both of them

the thing that really gets me when it comes to this game, the notes and environment add so much character, like "welcome leon" and the notes left before the outbreak. another game that did this well is prey, they had notes from their families down on earth, and some crew members were in the middle of a dnd-esque game when shit hit the fan for them.

I keep watching the first 30mins or so, basically what was in the demo, over and over because I don't want to spoil anything else before I play it on my weekend.
The range of emotions between 3:01:50 and 3:03:00 sum up why Ray is the greatest.

@@derekhoward9134 Also, the majority of people aren't going to fully watch a 7 hour video, at least not in one sitting. People are more likely to just catch the first hour or so, so the ads have a higher chance of being viewed within the first hour or so rather than throughout the whole 7 hours.

There are a few rooms which MR X won't go into but he doesn't despawn he just walks off somewhere. Every time I hung out in the Chief's room he'd sod off to the 3rd floor balcony.
Yea he also doesn't automatically spot you he's not a heat seeking missile but gunfire or running near him will start the chase if he doesn't see you...
Once I followed him down the hallway to the dark room cause I wanted to save and use a roll film he got to the end and he turned around instead if going upstairs the nope in my eyes is something I won't forget luckily I ran past him quick enough before he popped me with the left hook

Yes, the gator was in the original version of RE2, but different. In the original, you just had to run down a hallway in the sewer as is slowly followed you. Then you had to unlock a gas canister from the wall, then keep running. When the gator comes around the corner, it has the gas canister in its mouth, and you pull a Jaws.

Mr. X is like the Alien from Alien Isolation. It's great. Absolutely terrifying. Both my favorite and least favorite part of the game. Can't wait till I watch the Route B play through, where they throw Mr. X on you almost immediately.

I wouldn't say he's like the Xenomorph. I still get scared by it when I play Isolation, while I usually run circles around Mr. X everytime after my 1st playthrough.

Finally, I fell asleep during the stream yesterday because a lack of sleep and I thought I'd have to wait a while to watch.
Can I just say, this game was like a 9.9 for me. Not a perfect 10 cause it ended.
God it was so good! And kept me on my toes the entire time.
Disclaimer: only ever played Resident Evil 7 and seen playthrough’s of RE4. But godDAMN was this a good game. I would’ve ranked RE7 like a meh 8 or a 8.7 for comparison.

No, but what I'd like to talk about is how the video has a constant, and annoying, split second speed up every several seconds... it's getting on my nerves real quick. Not sure if that can be fixed. And yes I refreshed a few times so it's not on my end.

At one point in this game, I ran out of all my ammo after escaping the parking garage, and I started getting chased by Mr.X and Marvin had turned too, and I lost 2 of my defense items cause of Marvin and I eventually had to keep running cause of Mr.X and I ran into a room with 2 Lickers inside just staring at me and the room next to me was full of zombies and the room down the hall had another Licker in it, me with no ammo, no defense items, and Mr.X on my ass every moment, not to mention I also only had 1 herb left, I had to sprint through all those Lickers and zombies to get to a safe room before sprinting out again and running through the police station trying to find everything I needed. Great time.

Alternatively, you can leave the room and immediately come back in through the bookshelf door as soon as you set the explosive. That also leaves it standing.

The "girls" are Umbrella, the "extra-large umbrella" means he found more Umbrella corp. stuff, he's covertly telling them he needs a full 6 months to investigate and that "Barry" (but actually all the RPD) shouldn't send back-up because they'd just "scare all the girls away", meaning Umbrella hasn't caught him yet. He's undercover as a Chad, but like Claire said: he's a STARS officer, and we know they always get the shit end of the stick with the zombie stuff

Am I the only one massively confused by the moving of the bookshelves? If you pause the video at 3:34:44 it looks like that door is totally accessible without even bothering with the bookshelves. Am I crazy? What was the point of that?
It's because when you walk to the door the floor falls through, Ray knew that from playing the demo and didn't bother walking there since he knew it would fall.
6:43 Gas prices are really that cheap when you are not in or around cities. I went down to a town in West Virginia for a few days and gas prices there cost around that much - even the damn food. Shit, you can get a full meal at a diner for around two bucks. Prices are like that because nobody lives around there.

I have it on regular xbone and it's really good, but it's obviously not quite as pretty, but still looks good, and the frames only go below 50-60 when a lot is going on

God no, look up the Digital Foundry video on RE 2. The game almost never even hits 60fps. Even in normal rooms, the framerate is around 40. It's terrible. The other guy has no idea what he's talking about.
Of course if you don't mind low framerates and a very blurry screen due to low resolution, be my guest. But this game looks and runs flawlessly on the XboneX.
@@Dorraj I just saw the DF video..kind of disappointed to be honest. I'm still glad the game is at least playable, and that's all that matters to me. Also, yes the X runs flawlessly.
