Brilliant advice! Last week I was stood in Lidl with my phone out comparing prices in other supermarkets working out if the larger box of teabags I wanted worked out cheaper per bag. It was 3.75p per teabag in Tesco and 2.6p in Lidl. I love shopping maths!! xxx
❤ That is a great idea Lizzy straining the 35p yoghurt and then making your own with whole milk! fabulous I have found so many useful ideas on your channel, Thank you so much, your son is so fortunate to have such a lovely Mum x
Another great video! Our local Asian supermarket has some fantastic prices on bags of fruit and veg so worth looking in smaller shops as well as the big chains 🙂
Thank you Lizzy I love the homemade yogurt it’s so creamy I did make bean burgers the other day out of cannelloni beans so tasty and not a lot of £ so bargain meal have a great week .xx
I only ever buy the big blocks of cheese, grate it myself then freeze it so I’ve always got some for sauces, toppings, sandwiches, jacket potatoes - I also only ever buy extra strong, because then I use less for the same amount of cheesy flavour in those things. I also don’t ever buy pre-flavoured meat, such as teriyaki or Chinese five-spice, because A) I haven’t liked a single one I’ve ever tried and B) I object to paying extra for a few spices when I have a cupboard full of cheap condiments bought at discount prices. If all I want is, say, some chicken to go into a curry or a sauce of some kind then I’ll buy drumsticks at 99p per kilo, pressure cook them to get the meat off the bones, and then use that for adding to the sauce - provides plenty of meat and the bones then get made into chicken stock with some veg scraps / peelings. The price of food has definitely increased but there are still ways and means to eat both cheaply and well, and it’s plain to see that you are very savvy in that regard.
Well done with the mushrooms, they were on my list but I couldn’t find any with yellow stickers. Even the ones in the Lidl card with 15% of were not available. I did manage to get 3 packs of meat reduced from )2.99 to £1.20
Does anyone buy the one pound range from Iceland.. I've tried some of the pastry bakes and potato products. They are quite good, but I only use rarely, or in an energency.
@@lynnoorman2144 lentil soups are ok; recipes on internet. Use them to make vegetable “burgers” instead of other beans. Cook them with diced carrots, drain, and mix in tomato salsa for a side dish. That’s a Spanish way. You might want to look up an Egyptian recipe called kusherie. It uses every pan in the kitchen, but it’s worth the washing up.
Another really good video. Thanks for all the information finding it very useful ❤️
Thank you 💕

Hey, you! Me again. Driving through crazy traffic is not only an extra transportation cost but can be risky as well. Be safe, Lizzy

You can put the dish soap in the smaller bottle if space is limited on your counter and store away the bigger bottle.

@frugallizzybee ❤
as you say takes a bit of planning - but being adaptable and shopping around within reason - often do shops in rotation
😀
Great buy on sweet potatoes, I love them par boiled and roasted, with a bit of seasoning on them. So versatile. Delicious :)

I'm the same as you. I'm terrified of thunder and lightning. It's a phobia.
I didn't know that it was a phobia, if I count between the lightning and the thunder it helps 💕

I wonder if your Aldi products are the same as ours in the states?
Im not sure, they probably cater for each country individually. Do you have to put a coin in ur trolly in the states?
