Im Mexican and yes, we do the shoving of face into cake. Its fun and happens almost every time someones birthday rolls around. My mom started making extra food and cakes just for it too.

My birthday story is traumatizing in a different way.
On my 9th or 10th bday, I wanted to have shrimp for my birthday dinner. I ate 2, and I felt like I couldn't breatheಠ︵ಠ. I ended up in the ER for almost an hour, and when I got home, I didn't have anything to eat for dinner.
the being able to hate the person my crush has a crush on is way too relatable... but like, she's his girlfriend so it's just like not even controllable and it's so difficult to not hate her-
