I visited a Rolex AD this week, I didn’t make an appointment 😱 no problem, they offered me a drink, and informed me watches were months not years if I want to place an order. 🙏
What would they let you order? I recently bought a Wimbledon Datejust jubilee as my first purchase and last week I called them up and asked to be put on their list for a Rolex Submariner non date and they said no problem. I don’t know how long it will take.
things are vastly different here in the US than they are elsewhere. I've never waited more than 2 months for a watch: datejust41, submariner no-date, root beer, and two tone Daytona. all purchased within a year.

Sounds crazy but im not looking at a 40k verse a 5 k . Its what i like.I now have bought 4 watches from them and some jewelry also.Oh they had a full gold daytona they offered and a two tone (zombie) so they are giving me choices.This is getting good. My guy who couldnt get a pikachu was buying the wrong models of watches, everything you said he was buying were ++ sports models, the AD want you buying non in-demand models, then gets you the in demand models. they can sell sports all day long, you're not helping them at all. Do £100k in non selling and full gold models and they will bump you right up.

Charlie, I was trying to understand the 5 watches for 1 deal you concluded with the client. Were you saying that he traded in 5 watches for the Pikachu and had to pay you 300 pounds more? Since I do not know the 5 watches he was trading in, I cannot tell who got the better of this deal.

I was recently in Krakow for a 4 night city break. The day we were visiting Auschitz Birkenau we had to meet at a large shopping mall . Because we got there early we went inside for a wander around just to kill time. Inside the mall was a designated ROLEX AD store. We went in for a look around. The staff were very friendly and chatty, took out loads of pieces for my friend and I to try on. During the conversation they told us they had many in the store we could buy there & then, maybe around 50% of their stock they could sell that day, to us, total strangers off the street ! Most of the others they were confident they could get within a couple of months …. Apart from grail watch’s like rare Daytona’s . I was really surprised. I tried on a DJ 36 blue motif dial on jubilee , looked great, was available for me to buy if I’d wanted , but 36mm was too small for my liking, plus of course I didn’t have funds available out of the blue like that…
Love the new format. In regards to phones - get the mobile app or soft client for your computers as a contingency for when your internet connection goes down :)
