Very suspicious when the box didn’t have its white outer sleeve and no white tag . Very incomplete set , can’t wait for next episode when Charlie questions this person about the Daytona and the client crumbles .
It depends on the watch ⌚ and strongly depends on the client ! If it's an unworn , NOS , Like New , Slider, Mint , Fully stickered then obviously it's not getting a polish !! Also if it's a Vintage Watch ⌚ that has seen plenty of love & wrist time then you most likely won't want to touch it , you'd leave it up to thr client that buys it & offer the service! Unless of course it's not a really crazy/rare model/ reference that doesn't become effected by a perfect polish to bring it back to life like it just left the AD showroom floor. Now for modern watches especially stainless steel models , ceramic bezel models , those will not Patina !!! Also it's not a precious metal ( if Stainless steel ) So to touch up a modern ss sports model or a light touch up nothing's wrong with that ! But if it's not bad and just some normal wear and hairline scratches then usually you don't want to touch it unless the client ask for it be done ✅👍🏻. Also as well as gashes , chips of metal gashed out then you need a laser filling and refinish,.polish etc . But when it comes down to the "NEVER POLISH ANY WATCH ⌚) thats mainly only for rare vintage references . For those you're better off just buying a new factory bracelet , putting the original in the safe / safety deposit box and putting the brand new one on ✔️✅

35:36 - I'm going to take a wild guess and say that the AD has dated it in US English format. I have seen some cards with the dates in US English format before. E.g. rather than putting 4/3/24 for 4th March 2024, they've put 3/4/24. But let's wait and see! Also, random question, which loupes do you guys use? Thanks!
The team also considered this mate, however, it still wasn’t a possible date! The loupe we use most regularly is called the connoisseur - the one with the built in light - we couldn’t run our business without it 🙌🏻💯

I have the iconic GMT bought in the 80s. Yet, I like the elegance and option to wear it with either a suit or denims. But, I can not capture if its the Everose or the gold one. Everose is fine if gifted to me, but my choosing would be gold as gold should look instead of adding a less noble metal like copper. Perhaps the fact that it will strengthen it and male it sturdier to scratches is a plus, but not sure my hairy white arm will go well with a rosy tone. I must say though, I am absolutely tempted with the Ghost! is perfect and proper for a daily, but I can make it work with yellow gold. I bought that Pepsi back in the day, but it just doesn't fit my age now so my son has it. I am now retired, and appreciate that the black band brings out what the actual masterpiece is, the watch, and the details are not overpowered/surrounded by twice as much metal.

Love the channel its getting better and better. I love watches and have many and did want a Rolex in the past but no longer for multiple reasons. Every recent owner I personally know isn't into watches they have got because its a measure of life status and how well they are doing they know zero about watches but just want the crown. I have also known of recent thefts personally, so sadly no longer worth the risks the justice system does not even punish the theives if caught! I I also don't want to look like "showing off" not for me. Carry on the good content though even though I won't buy hope my views and sub slightly helps the channel 🙂

Trouble with Rolex is that much of their prestige has been artificially created through marketing. As they increase production dramatically over the next 5 years, the hype will go down. And at the moment you have to either sweet-talk a salesman or pay over the odds to get one. A Submariner isn’t any better than a Seamaster, and the latter has 100 years more brand history behind it. Anyone else rather keep their dignity and go elsewhere? 😏
I’d switch out the air tags for another tracker mate, them Apple ones notify anyone with a smart phone it’s near by. Someone stuck one on my car afew months ago and it told me straight away.
How are the flippers getting them? You don’t get these type of watches without a huge spend🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ The AD’s have to be crooked, it’s the only plausible answer!! And yes, it pisses me off too! I’ve had to spend over £90k before being told “ I’m next in-line “ for a steel Daytona !, But I/we keep & wear every watch we have! It’s a bullshit hobby for sure !
This is great an’ all, but to be so obsessed about not getting the tiniest hairline scratch while sizing the bracelet for what is designed as a tool watch only reminds me how bonkers our hobby is, when viewed by the “normies”.

Garbage. Rolex ADs will measure your wrist and Rolex have an app that ADs have which tells them exactly how many links to add/remove and where the clasp needs to be micro adjusted to.
@@_The_Archer - I've had it 3 times, the last one in Jun 23. 2 different ADs, both measured my wrist with a tape, looked at a chart, popped out the back to make the change and bingo. I've no idea how an App could improve on that 🤷🏻♂️

Why do you polish so many of your watches if the majority of them are nearly new or unworn?

You should have said that scratched screw adds to the patina, and it tells a story. Like the day I went to collect my Sub.😊😇👑

Rolex ADs will measure your wrist and Rolex have an app that ADs have which tells them exactly how many links to add/remove and where the clasp needs to be micro adjusted to.

You mean a chart, it's about 4 lines long and could be understood/explained by an 8yr old!

@@_The_Archer - I've had it 3 times, the last one in Jun 23.
2 different ADs, both measured my wrist with a tape, looked at a chart, popped out the back to make the change and bingo.
I've no idea how an App could improve on that 🤷🏻♂️
