My son turned me onto this band a year or so ago.have loved them since.just Awesome.im 64 and grew up listening to electric rock n roll and there is nothing else like it out there.❤❤❤ it.
And some people think the bass guitar is just to fill up holes and give some low end. This makes the bass guitar interesting. And with the keyboard swells in the background (or is that bass also with effects) it has an odd, almost Twin Peaks vibe at times. I'm glad I came across this.
Probably my most fun and challenging band I've ever been in, was when another bassist approached me with a bunch of mathy riffs he'd written. I learned the songs, we recruited other band members, played one show and then disbanded. I did play a few open mics with the other bassist afterwards for fun, just us shredding bass with no one else. I miss those riffs and wish we'd have just found a solid drummer. But hey, I can always try again, and you can always start that band you've always wanted. These guys should be all the inspiration we need

I love this band and can’t wait to see more bands try this type of lineup. The Omnific are Australian. In Australia 20 years ago in the 90's there was a band with a drummer and 2 bass players called Presto who did very similar style music but only the 3 instruments without any sequencing or tracks on laptop.
Some really great stuff, this has bee stuck in my head for months and has made me consider picking the bass back up to try and play along. Seriously, keep it up, and MORE FEATURES!!!!!!!
I was planning to watch and enjoy regardless, but I saw that Simon Grove is part of this and decided y’all are even more awesome for making such bass such a more visible and appreciated instrument within this prog, instrumental scene. Nice. Precise and well-coordinated playing. Might not seem a big (certainly not the flashiest) thing, but, technique-wise, I was struck by the super-even 16th notes... that, and this makes me actually want to practice two-hand tapping.
