I really enjoyed this film. There's nothing I like better than an excellent campy/fun horror. I was getting a Z Nation vibe from this, which I love. Great work by all involved on this project.
We also die for the camp! This film is obviously a love letter to some of our favorite monster movies. Great atmosphere, beautiful cinematography, and awesome characters. Can't wait to see more from these amazing filmmakers.
Either way, one of those facehuggers could have crawled up and attached itself to Walt and revived him.
We shot a scene like that but couldn't make it work so it wound up on the cutting room floor. When Maya looks through the glass at the end, a bug crawls over onto Walt's face and he starts stacking things again. He's damned to stack things in the gas station until his body physically can't anymore.
Really cool short film. It has somewhat of an Edgar Wright style, in the way some of the scenes were filmed. Would love to see more of this

Why go to art school if she’s just going to wind up at the exact same job afterwards?
The actors each played their part and kept the plot moving. The manager wanking figuratively and literally to his idealized self was a nice touch and added a bit of depth. I had to re-watch the part where she tells the creature heeyyyy 😂. The cops were especially hilarious, particularly the car chat! Great tone, lighting, cinematography and pacing throughout. A bit more tongue in cheek than Clerks and a bit more campy/chill/comic book-ish than Shawn of the Dead but had similar undertones and was a lot of fun to watch. Thanks to everyone in the production!
