SECRET TONE LINEAR AMPLIFIER plugin for the sounds.
#JOHNBROWNE #jacksonguitarsofficial
Welcome back Browne 💪
I didn’t expect a Browne video today! What a pleasant surprise. Sounding awesome as always man 🤘🤘🤘
When I got the notification, I thought that was launching the Modern Metal Academy. Hahahaha.
Been a big fan of Monuments for years and always wondered what you'd sound like in E standard - now we have it !! Great tone and another great vid
Made my day!! Good to see the man!
Love that smile when the tone hits it just right!
Niiice! Been missing your studio vids. Much respect and Mahalos 🤙
Beautiful.
As always, phenomenal playing. Not just the technique but the ideas as well. Very unique style. More Monuments please!
Sick tones and sick playing as always. Guitar looks great too
I'm always super happy seeing you release new video!
Don't need to say that you can make any guitar sound absolutely massive.
Glad to see you back it’s been a while but killer as always 🔥
Gorgeous!
Good to see you doing a demo bro 😎👊🏻 love this Jackson I dig it 🔥🔥🔥💯💪🏻
this sounds epic haha cant wait to find out what the top secret plugin is
Beat it! Great tone.
I was missing your videos, dude, great content as always!
Great sounding ambient passages 💪
Very nice looking guitar and it sounds really good. I'm hooked on that colour too... great deliverJohn as always :D
The way you navigate the board without even doubting where you need to slide, or which open string you hit while making a chord, is I must say, impressive.
You have a unique playstill and making a lesson on your approach could be killer
ModernMetalAcademy.com
Coming soon!
Also I really have no idea what I’m doing in standard anymore but I appreciate the kind words.
Especially while it's not the tuning he's used to navigate without thinking... I'm so impressed
When does it launch?
@@JohnBrownemonuments
Jackson is great!
i love the sound with those duncans such great pickups you make it sound real good bro kinda reminds me of rabea massaad stuff a little bit super cool great vid john!!!
That Swedish Chainsaw sound is AWESOME!!!!
Monuments gone standard tuning
welcome back, king!
Nice to have you back, Browne!
These guitars are fantastic. I have the black one, very comfortable and great sounding guitar the most comfortable neck I have ever played on. It’s a very versatile guitar, the cleans sound amazing I’m digging the 4th position. I absolutely love this guitar.
After hearing you play I forgot all about the guitar review brother. Absolutely beautiful playing, killer🔥
great video buddy!
Welcome back!!🤘
Awesome guitar!
Saw u guys live in Houston! I was in the fron and git a fist bump from you! One of the best shows i’ve been! U guys are tight!!!!!
Something about the look of a jackson that satisfies my teenage urge to grow my hair out wear tight leather trousers and watch videos from the 80s
As a guy who was a teen in the 80's my advice would be to skip the "leather trousers"
Here in the states we call them "catch me, fuck me pants".
Always love your vids bro
Glad you like them!
@@JohnBrownemonuments absolutely man! You have a very down to earth approach. Plus your guitar tone is just spot on. Killer man
Top Secret plug in 🤔 archetype Browne coming soon? Maybe from another company perhaps. Ill be watching.
Yes!
I just wanted to say fn dope riffing bro!
“Top secret plugin” needs to be Neural’s next drop.
The pinch at 7:06 brought a grin to your face. That moment totally made the video.
Playing Beat It on the 80s style Seafoam Green Jackson is peak, Browne.
Despite it’s quirks the Floyd Rose is super comfortable when set up properly so it’s been hard not to pull the trigger on the shell pink version of this guitar.
John Browne!
Browne the tone master
Oh yeah another Browne video
Alder body sounds great !
Great to see a new video John, and that plugin sounds great.. I was genuinely disappointed to see you left Riffhard mate, it's not the same without your content on it. Any update on the new Modern metal academy project, and when it will go live?
Bro u looked inspired with this one! Even in standard u got it sounding heavy 🤘
🙄🙄🙄
@@Crackapples1337 something i said 🤷🏻
I hear some fuzz or some Swedish chainsaw type of distortion and love it! Wondering what plugin that is and when will it come out. Speaking of which, aren't you a pure hardware guy?
When’s Modern Metal Academy opening up?
Very very soon
Fuck yess! I’ll see you there
Sooner the better when riffhard is trying to get peoples money with Black Friday sales…
You just married? Welcome back! Go ampero 2 stomp play😂
WE NEED ANSWERS WHAT"S THE SECRET PLUGIN. I was really sure that last Neural DSP release would be John Browne's archetype and was very hyped about it. But I will take any company, I'm sure it will sound great (let's just hope it's not JST). Mixwave seems probable, but Browne is more than worthy of a dedicated Archetype from NDSP alongside such legends as Petrucci, Abasi, Plini and Nolly
You might already be aware but just in case you aren't, it's a signature ToneHub expansion pack
STL Tones
Nice performance in Calgary recently ✌️
Sure do miss seeing you rip it up. Hope your new modern metal academy is kicking off soon. I know a lot of us are waiting 😉
can't recall anything you didn't make sound killer John, lol. G.A.S. after watching this.
Top secret plugin you say.
That right hand is nothing less than a MACHINE!
I really hope they roll out some other colors for these.
Jackson fits you so much better than Mayones. My late buddy Jim would have one of those in an instant if he were still with us, always sang the praises of his Jacksons
Insane sound and play as always. But anyone noticed the "secret tone linear amplifier plugin" in the chain. What is this bro ?? haha Hope to have a video about this plugin. Rock on 🤘
I Love mint ❤
lesgoooo
That part starting at 3:02 makes me wanna hear Caleb Shomo over it
More standard tuning riffs please?! Really dig what happens when you're not playing in a DADGAD variant.
That guitar is insanely beautiful... Looking dapper yourself, Browne
Specific blue, looks green to me
It’s technically specific ocean I’m just dumb
Bro I've got your Qatsi Deluge, that's the only guitar I need for life.
Uh-oh, Browne is in standard tuning! Everybody take cover! :D
john, did you remove riffhard videos with those beautiful guitars, playing cimmerian and opiate? Thank you
nice shirt! ;p
Feel like Jackson is underrated as a brand. I am partial to Ibanez, but see the appeal in jacksons
I'm assuming you're new to guitar.
Only a few OG brands for this Genre, Jackson sits atop the heap with its sibling Charvel.
@@thefrogking481 Lmao, man you sound pretentious as heck and I have no clue why you are telling me this nonsense or assuming anything about a stranger on the internet.
I'm well aware of Grover Jackson and Wayne Charvel's respective history in regards to super strat style guitars (which is not relevant to my statement). I'm far from 'new'.
Man, feels like gearpage fart sniffers are invading youtube now. Or at least that is my "assumption" which could be ill founded, but i'm certain whether or not you are or aren't 14 years old... you sure act it. I can't blame you though... You must be new to using the internet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
secret plugin aye?
K, I'm stealing that trick at 2:30.. using the weak spot of a floating bridge to do something unique. Nice.
Split coil soumds good even. Not really into Floyd's but it doesn't suck
Can someone please give us all a John Browne plug in 🙏 that would be the best plugin ever. A plug in where you can blend two amps togeather , everything John Browne designed and certified.
This guitar is so easy to play !
when can we avail the secret plugin Browne? 😁
Hey John any updates on Modern Metal Academy? ive been looking forward too it!
It’s almost ready
I would like to have one with a fixed bridge
Orright, there needs to be a Browne side project thrashing in E tuning.
This man played standard. Fucking what.
I don't know what to feel here 😂😂
Looks more green at Sweetwater sound
You should make the jb your pup. Just makes sense.
OMG Bolt-on sl2h 😅
The mouse?
Stygian Blue?
Top Secret plug-in? You cooking something up???
Hey John, would you say forearm strength has to do with downpicking speed with your wrist because the muscles are connected? When I use my wrist to Downpick my forearms burn. I can’t down pick as fast as you.
It's all trainable. Check his Downpicking Gym on Riffhard. The point is - you need to start exercise slow with metronome and increase bpm till you almost uncomfortable. +5-10bpm in a week will be a good result. And please don't exercise if it hurts, take your time.
@@andreo_vajimano John Browne on Riffhard anymore. Everything is deleted fyi
Practice.
It's not easy for anyone to down pick fast.
I'd also challenge you to seriously listen to guys like Hetfield and (insert favorite guitarist) and see if you can tell a noticeable difference.
You really can't
Adding compression in your chain will improve tightness in the sound making alternate sound as good as all downs. Why make it hard?
1:12 I was about to joke about the video coming out after release because you had to get to grips with standard again haha
ok, what is this Top Secret Plugin??
That right hand... is.. impossible...
Is he not with Schecter anymore?
John, weird question but ur giving me that u don’t love ur purple schecter, why haven’t you done something very special on your channel or elsewhere for the reveal or demonstration of the guitar yet? Much love!
There’s videos of it over on schecters channel!
So good at guitar!
I wonder if John has back/neck issues? Seems like he has no neck and is really stiff. Looks up with his eyes rather than lifting his chin.
Anyways, back to it beautiful axe- such good playing!
I was wondering if it was due to a stage fright / anxiety response, but I saw another comment that said he’s got some sort of body issue. Hope he’s alright, best wishes to John!
@@landmine55 It certainly seems more anatomical for sure. He seems unbothered so it doesn't really matter - I am mostly just curious if it is partially a side effect of playing for so many hours a day hunched over a guitar.
@@endconnr I watched another video, and he has Ankylosing spondylitis :/
@@landmine55 thanks for clearing that up - glad he doesn't let it stop him from doing what he loves and what we love him to do!
What string gauge are you using here?
Whatever the guitar came with, it’s got a Floyd rose so they aren’t getting changed anytime soon 😂
Without a setup they come from Jackson setup with 9-42 in E standard/or whatever your Floyd Rose decides during travel according to the website!
That was one spanky Pull Me Under there for a moment
If Jackson offered a fixed bridge version I’d buy one in a heartbeat.
You know you can block the Floyd, right?
Nah, you didn't know that.
Guys in the market for instruments at this level know that "blocking" the Floyd is easy and quick.
He has a lot of talent, but I don't know why he can't move his head like doing a headbang 😢 He always plays cool
he has a bad neck/back
He has some kind of degenerative disease that’s messing with his back and neck
Mick Marsed
That noise gate on the room mic is really annoying!!
Yeh it wasn’t quite close enough to my face for this one - apologised at the top of the description haha
Family guy funny moments
the guitar sounds too fizzy and toppy for me, perhaps its the choice of duncan pickups. i don't think they're tight enough for modern styles too, there's a lot of vintage flavour in there. more van halen than monuments imo. usually i'm fairly neutral as most guitars sound decent in demos, but i simply don't like this guitar's sound character for some reason
I just didn’t filter the top end enough on the tone, after all the mics pick up to 20khz and guitar generally goes up to 15khz ish - more like 3khz on recent tracks
@@JohnBrownemonuments aah i see!
John Browne playing a floyd rose makes me deeply uncomfortable for some reason.
For the second half of fellsilent and for the first two monuments records I used Ibanez 2077xl/7680 7 strings with low pro edges. I just had them blocked off
It is not made in, it is assembled in the USA.
