I know editing can be very time consuming but like everything else, keep at it. Any chance to see a "day in the life" video about your work or things you do on the weekends? @@TokuyuuTV I'm using 3 books, N5, Remembering the Kanji, and Tae Kim. I'm currently trying to fit all books everyday which is about 5 vocab per book (1 page) + review and its not sustainable. Could you reccomend a schedule that would help me learn 5-8 kanji a day which could be more consistent? Thanks

i think it is yes! hokkaido is quite big and rural outside of sapporo, so public transit will either be infrequent or non-existent 🥵

Do you guys switch between Japanese and English in the course of a conversation depending on what is being talked about? A couple decades ago, I remember hearing about two friends (or sisters?) who spoke several languages together, and depending on if they were talking about an emotionally-serious topic or a fun, light-hearted topic, they'd naturally drift into a certain language because it seemed to fit the topic better, if that kinda makes any sense. Like, if they were talking about work, maybe they'd use English, and if they were talking about family, maybe they'd use Italian. So I was wondering if maybe you guys speak Japanese for certain topics, and then English for other topics, and if you make the switch in mid-conversation without even realizing it.

we do actually switch between english and japanese! for me tho, my english is still much stronger so i tend to switch to english when im trying to convey really difficult concepts or wanna use specific slang. Would be interesting how it splits once my japanese is closer in level!
