It is really sad Favour but I think you should not lose your hope of visiting Egypt. When hope dies everything dies. As a Zimbabwean lady 🇿🇼 first , I love travelling immensely but I am yet to visit Egypt and so many other countries in the 🌎. I would love to vlog like Tayo from nation to nation but I told myself, "Since I cannot yet vlog internationally, I shall vlog from my neighbourhood and the UK towns I visit when I am not working. Since I started vlogging I only went to Kenya 🇰🇪 and that one video I put up from there to date is the most viewed on my channel. So do not despise your little corner, the Egypts are coming if you will only believe!
I am a Nigerian living In Egypyt for two years, I have been watching your content for 3 Years now, and I can confidently saythat "You didn't find more about egypt before coming" You explored the little part of it had a negative experience and publicly generalize it. Egypyt is a nice place to live with good hospitipality and friendly people!
You adjust to a place after 2 years and find your way but beggars that harrass you, chaos and disorder as well people trying to rip you off is very true and real in Cairo. That there are good sides to Cairo does not negate these facts.
@@kj_usa2987 dear friend I'm Egyptian and sorry for you if you faced any problems in Egypt but we Egyptians love all people and welcome everyone I hope you visit Egypt again and enjoy it
Bro am an Egyptian and honestly that's the first vid i see from u and i actually loved the fact that u said it was the government restricting not the people cause its actually true. We had political issues within the country back in 2011, 2013. I wanna say that u honestly missed a lot in Cairo and in Egypt generally, what u visited is like a small percentage of a world that I want people to see. I know ur right bout the people asking for money and police restrictions (and am sorry for that), and u know, its gonna get better. Honestly i liked ur channel, and this video (specially that I've went to all this places) and keep on the good work, and finally hope u visit again.
And as Egyptian, there is no justification of that. the education level is almost 0, toxic environment, many people became scammers and scamming local and foreigner people, because the low income and the high taxes and and instead to help people the people of power trying to figure out some rules to steal us!. and making them fight each other for one egyptian pound. there's no real industry or even one silicon (SEMICONDUCTOR) factory exit in egypt to export a product at least to stabilize our currency. the chaos is ruling people with full of ignorance and slaves to each other they think they are right and everyone around is wrong and a traitor. i written this because this is the honest thing you can ever listen. if you asked most youth what is your dream they will tell you to immigrate. and finally the only thing we can do is "KOBRY".
I am from Europe and my husband is from Egypt. I would recommend to move around with a local, then you will not get scammed and also language barrier will not be there. For me positive things outweigh the negative ones and I will keep coming back to Egypt as often as I can. Nor hard feelings about people trying to earn from tourists, if i was put in same circumstances who knows how I would hustle and what I would do, so if I want to blame anyone then it is government that has put people in such situation in the first place. Egypt is amazing country, it will always have a special place in my heart!
Thank you for your unbiased review of Egypt. Pretty much everything you've said runs through my head whenever I visit. It was refreshing watching your take when everybody else's just seems so hyperbolic in comparison.
Visiting Egypt as a tourist ain't the same as as being an egyptian man, it's the worst nightmare anyone could live trust me... we all wait the day we get out of this hell...
I visited Egypt around a month ago, it was life-changing. I feel like if you want a solid opinion on Egypt you should also visit the less touristy spots like the White desert, in my opinion Egypt was a beautiful country, the "hassling" wasn't even that bad, and most of the time we ended up being friends with the ppl trying to sell stuff, I found it interesting how the kids wanted to take pictures with me. Definitely want to go back to visit the places I didn't go to like Siwa and Alexandria. I went for 10 days and visited Sharm, Dahab, Cairo, Luxor ,Hurghada and the white desert. Really a life changing experience. We stayed at low cost places and ate Koshari like 5 times hahaha. We met a lot of ppl who were around our age so in their early 20s even though im 18.
if they dont try to rape you like they did to us journalist i would consider it ! imagine like 40 guy trying to rape a woman journalist and noone says anything and that gives you mbasic idea about what kind of country egypt is
Great video, I'm from Egypt and it frustrates me that we cant share our history and culture with the rest of the world because of our regime's paranoia. Sorry for the underwhelming experience, it really doesnt do our country justice

They are so paranoid because they are perpetrating a fraud, in a land that is not theirs, anymore than the land known as Palestine does not belong to the Jew nor Arab
As an Egyptian, I believe the best way to explore egypt and actually enjoy it is with an Egyptian local, egypt is beautiful and you can actually have soo much fun away from all the tourist attractions filled with people trying to take your money and sell you things, next time maybe try to explore it with a local and try visiting places other than cairo, maybe try enjoying the beautiful nature of Sinai like: dahab, taba, sharm el sheikh, etc… thank you for visiting my country and I hope next time it would be better for you!!
That's a nice thought but foreigners dream of seeing the great pyramids. They are one of the 7 wonders of the world. Not everyone can afford multiple trips to Egypt. All I know is that nothing will keep me from seeing some of the greatest places in history. They are mindblowing in video and photos I can't even imagine what they must be like in person.
Ironic, innit? *A Nigerian* coming from Nigeria where there are a lot of diseases including malaria, and his country has a lack of development, has uploaded a UA-cam video talking about the dark sides of Egypt, which is 1000 times better and cleaner than Nigeria
Thanks for visiting our country! Egypt is truly an incredible place, the history in Egypt alone can fill the history books for generations. It's often referred to as Umm Al-dunyah- the mother of the world in Arabic. Your experience is not a rare one my friend, it's a common one which has become prominent in recent times due to the political instability of the region. There have been 3 military coups since 2009, and the general population faces large amounts of poverty, lack of job security, and fear- planted in the hearts of Egyptians due to the current regime in power. Which is the reason why everyone will try to sell you anything, anywhere and everywhere. For them tourists perspective it's a turn off, to the locals it's the only way they can feed their families. It's not your fault, its the fault of the people in charge. To tell you one thing about Egyptians Tayo, our population runs off of hope haha. We've been let down sooo many times by our government that the only thing that keeps people positive is hope and their belief in god (That he will ease the burden on us and our brothers) Egypt will rise to prominence again god-willing, and the world will really know of our incredible people soon. Until then, we thank anyone and everyone who considers visiting us, and chooses to form their own opinion about our country and their people. Like you said tayo, when humans come together incredible things can happen

Egypt is an incredible place, you only visited Cairo and can't judge the whole of Egypt based on a short trip to the congested city of Cairo, go to the South of Egypt and experience the glories of Luxor & Aswan, visit the beautifl city of Sharm Sheikh....etc. Egyptians are friendly and warm, I recommend that you visit Egypt as it will stay with you forever.
I think you went to Egypt to search for the negatives only, and I do not know what the goal is, but I invite everyone to see other visitors who will find the beauty really enjoyed by this ancient country and the people are light-hearted and beautiful, and there are neighborhoods of the rich as well as neighborhoods of the poor, like any country in the world

Great storytelling as usual, Tayo 👏🏾 I’ve been twice there and your story reflects what happens to most people who go there. Things seem (a bit) better when you don’t explore on your own but with local guides booked online before your travel, as they would be your shield. You might want to visit other Egyptian cities like Alexandria where tourist harassing seems less prominent than in Cairo.
I was sent back from Alexandria Airport for no reason at all. They looked at my passport and canceled my visa without talking to me. I stayed at the airport for 12 hours, and nobody asked me any questions. Finally, an airline employee gave me my passport and a ticket to go back to my country. Seeing all of this has made me change my mind about visiting Egypt.
I have indian passport, I know it's not powerful passport but literally there was no reason to send me back. I was student back then. In my flight, there was a group of workers from Bangladesh, they were going to Libya and needed to change flight at Alexandria airport, but authority didn't let them get on to next flight to Libya for some reason and deported them back, so my guess is that we were only non Egyptian in that flight and may be they thought I was with them. I don't know, either they cancelled my visa because of them or those guys were sent back because of me.
The point is, if you get stuck in Egypt you are f**ed. No officials gives a fuck about you. They will take easiest path and it might not be the best for you

I really enjoy your videos! Haven't been to Egypt but I know many people who have and they pretty much say the same as what you've said. The best thing is to get a local guide or go with a tour group, but as an independent traveler trying to do it alone, it's tough going.
Hi, loved this video!!! I Hope you'll visit more places in Egypt like Hurghada, Luxor, Sharm el sheikh,... these are very beautiful and touristy. Caïro is bit harder to explore than other places in Egypt I think, it's also very crowded that's why they are building a new capital city. I visited Egypt many times and really love it there, but I never really went to Cairo, would love to see the pyramids one day. Also if You want to try some of the traditional Egyptian foods here's a list: - Molokhiya - Kushary (pasta, with rice, with lentils and a saus) - Tamiya, the Egyptian version of falafel - bamya (Okra in tomato saus)
Yes, Egypt is beautiful, but all the countries of the world have slums, and he did not go to the beautiful places and cities in Egypt, and Egypt is the most beautiful of all.
Glade you like it and yes come back to Egypt but I recommend to be after the opening of the great museum it will be minutes of walking from the pyramids The opening ceremony will be at the end of this year And best months to visit from october to May otherwise it will be very sunny 🌞
I visited Egypt in December, it was a life time experience. Yes people will try to hustle you at every opportunity, which is to be expected in any capital city especially if you go to down town. If you visit the uptown, Mall of Egypt or Arabia the places are amazing, the people are lovely and the shisha is good too. The place I would recommend to visit Hurgadah, very beautiful, relaxed, close to the Red Sea, lovely food places🤩.
Another _Great_ presentation my Brother. I haven't yet been to Egypt, but I love the challenges you have outlined. This is why we travel: to experience both the pleasant and unpleasant - and *see for ourselves* how our Brothers and Sisters manage.
Really? You travel to experience the unpleasant? Don't you have enough unpleasantness in your daily life that you have to travel to another country to find some more...
The truth is that Nigeria is an ugly country and I am not saying so to deform the image of it, but Nigeria is truly ugly. And I've been to Nigeria and Egypt. Nigeria is ugly and so poor compared to Egypt, besides, Nigeria is full of disases and one of them is Malaria, so any visitor traveling to Nigeria has to take some medicine against Malaria before traveling there. Nigeria is not a good place to visit, no good roads, Nigerians live in huts and it's so ugly, that's WHY I'm so surprised to see a Nigerian defacing the image of another country and complaining about it. Nigeria is ugly and he should look at his country and talk about it first before uploading this kind of video... What's going on in this world? People coming from an ugly country deface the image of a beautiful place with a great history behind. Why don't they look at their ugly homeland 🇳🇬first?. He talks about flies? Loool, what about the mosquitoes transmitting Malaria in Nigeria???

As an English tourist, I LOVE Egypt. Such a magical place with friendly, lovely people. Cairo was an amazing experience and it was incredible to see so many iconic historic artifacts and the River Nile. I would highly recommend it. Completely different to anywhere in Europe. ❤
I`m Egyptian and yes beggars are annoying to anyone not only tourists but not dangerous as you mentioned, giving a strict look or a loud NO would be more than enough to distract them away. anyway welcome to Egypt anytime and by watching your vlog i can tell you only visited less than 5% of Egypt's touristic places
Khalifa, i think its perceived as more dangerous when you are a tourist because you don't know the consequences or telling them off . You don't know what constitutes a grave offense that land you in jail. and depending on your appearance you can be self conscious too. I keep a super low profile when i am traveling outside of my own country . hell even in neighbouring USA , i have to "watch it" . Any and everything can land you in jail in America.
I discovered your channel about a month ago, and although I've always loved tourism videos (especially about Japan), I had never seen any about Africa. I feel like I'm learning a lot about places in the world that I was previously unfamiliar with, and I'm always impressed by your honesty and the quality of your videos. Thank you for your work! Great video, we went last year and had many of the same experiences. a tour guide is highly recommended. The beggars were really aggressive but our guide kept them in check really a great trip overall.
I am an Egyptian myself and a mistake every traveler makes is that they spend all their time in Egypt in Cairo, so if you want to see how beautiful Egypt really is then you shouldn't be focusing on visiting Cairo instead try to visit other areas of Egypt where you will find out that it way better than Cairo.
Exactly the advice i give my foreign friends who plan to visit Egypt will always be "stay away from Cairo and giza" they're not tourists friendly cities at all just hit the pyramids and other historical sites you want to visit and get the fvcc out of here fly to Luxor or sharm el sheikh or anywhere else
I'm Egyptian, I'm sorry for what you faced, we're very nice and peaceful people ❤️ we have great culture and places to visit, i know our police and government aren't the best 😢, but trust me it's one of the best countries in the world 😍 please take care and visit us again brother ❤️
I have been to Egypt three times first on a boat trip and the other two times independently. The last two times l had personal help from an Egyptian family who l made friends with. They are Nubians and because of my interest in Egyptian history I am very happy to be their friend. As an African Caribbean woman living most of my life in UK I am not impressed with the way Black people are treated there especially those looking like me. No l am not being 'sensitive' l was definitely treated differently. On my first visit my friend and l went into a small shop and was given the "cold shoulder" so left. On the way back the shop door was locked when they spotted us. I am always very aware of the people circulating around and observed a different attitude towards people of a different hue. My experience began at the airport and my Nubian friends tells me about colourism and even the Tourist from Europe seem to think they can treat people of colour differently in their own country based on an encounter l had where l had to be very assertive with another Tourist too. It certainly does help greatly if you speak Arabic and l agree the flies are a big deal. woman living most of my life in UK and another of my issues is how women are treated. You need to be very assertive otherwise you are ignored. Unfortunately l don't choose to be a wallflower in Africa.

I traveled to Egypt just recently - It was a very enlightening experience. I went with a big tour group and this is a good way to experience the country. However, I must say that your experience with the aggressive nature of the vendors in some spots and the beggars in others was very real. We experienced it at every historical site we went to including the Pyramids, Sphinx, Museums and Temples in Cairo, Ashwan, Luxor (The valley of the Kings) and other places. Mt Sinai was awesome though. That was an experience. Thanks for sharing your experience and have a great day.
I went to Egypt and spent 14 days there, but I went with a tour group, so my experience was a little different than yours but I did encounter the children that beg (which literally made me cry), I went into the tombs and yes they are extremely hot and tight spaced, but it was worth it. My group started in Cairo went to the museum and then Pyramids, Camel ride etc. Then we cruised down the Nile starting in Cairo and visiting each temple ending at Karnak. I wandered around our ship and was invited to go down below deck where I saw armed guards on the lower deck. They were not visible unless you went below, I informed the rest of people in my group and they were shocked. Apparently there's a law (was then not sure it still exist) if you have a certain amount of Americans/Tourist you have armed guards. They were friendly but they were packing AK's so I definitely felt safe but a little shocked. Anyway I highly recommend Egypt.
Yes, there is still armed guards escorting tourists, not only americans. I was there in April, on a group of 20 people, and what you tell me about the cruise doesn't surprise me, if they are on each scale, it's because they also travel somewhere on the ship
@@truezladye1893 When we went, our tour guide told the guards we were Canadian (we are from the US) so that the guards wouldn't follow us as closely at some of the historic sites.
Congrats on an unbiased and interesting recount of your visit. Especially appreciate how you gently point at shortcomings, which should be seriously taken into consideration by authorities. The camera hassle is due to some foreigners choose to portray only the dark side, showing slums and negative pictures only, so they were sometimes treated in paranoid fashion as you pointed out. I've been to Egypt twice in the '90s and I had a great time. I loved Cairo and there were no ticket buildings at the pyramids, it seems very organized now. I spent 3 weeks there with friends, one of my friends is Egyptian and his sister and brother who work in the tourism business there took us everywhere. The desert was my favorite place, meeting the Berbers, we stayed with one family/tribe. The food was amazing and the people were very nice. We had such a great time we went back the next year. It's a shame now that they're so rigid and paranoid and I'm glad I went when I did because I took a camera lol
Interesting. I went a few years ago and similar experience. After a week you have had enough. One tip: l found hiring a guide not only good for taking you places but they keep the beggars away
@@aminaaminat8378 I got fed up with treating the country like a museum so l hired a guy to show me how he lived. He said no one asked for that before. I'm a little surprised at how difficult it was for you to visit Egypt. I just visited last week when I had a few days to spare in Dubai. I would highly suggest hiring an English speaking travel guide. My guide took me to the historical sites and stopped along the way to visit local shops, restaurants, etc. He really helped with bargaining and kept the panhandling to a minimum. You can even arrange for pickup from the airport. As you mentioned, I also like to see the local places along my journey and not just the tourist traps. It maybe trial and error finding a good guide, especially with over ½ million people working in the tourist industry. Mine came highly regarded and was referred by a family friend. Keep traveling, have fun, and be safe.

The corrupt government, the horrible military, the aggressive cops who are constantly on a power trip, the lack of order in the streets, the bad traffic, the poverty, the children who are forced to beg and harass visitors by their parents.. It’s hard to deny that it’s really bad in Egypt. I’m Egyptian and I recently visited the pyramids. It was a horrible experience! From getting lost and being misled to getting scammed by these people who have horses (don’t remember what they’re called).. It also smelled REALLY BAD.. there were feces EVERYWHERE! You had to watch out where you’re going or else you’d step on them🤢. There was an unbearable smell of horse/donkey fecal matter all around one of the pyramids.. there was garbage everywhere.. It was chaotic and stressful, I’m never going there ever again. I don’t blame foreigners for complaining and not wanting to go to Egypt again either. These things need to be called out in order for things to get better. We can’t just close our eyes and pretend that Egypt is perfect when it isn’t. It’s *far* from perfect and trying to compare it to other “less fortunate” countries doesn’t help the situation, you’re basically saying “others have it worse, it’s good here.” NO. It isn’t.
I have some friends over there in Cairo. It is incredible how much culture is preserved over there. With every single bit you have to realize how old that is. for me, a German living in Spain it is crazy to know that in my home country 3000 years ago the culture of my mother was huge while here in Spain totally different cultures existed. And in Egypt another high culture existed at the same time. Meaning that 3000 years ago so many cultures developed side by side. It is just amazing.
I suffered the same hardship trying to visit Egypt from Abuja Nigeria. I had to pay for a visa application form at the embassy which is unusual. The story about how we were scammed by our tour guide in Egypt is another story
There is a huge department at the Egyptian Ministry of Interior called Touristic Police mandated to protect tourist from scammers, hasslers and to receive all their complaints. I am sorry to hear about your unpleasant experience in my country.
I'm Egyptian and i'm really sorry you had a negative experience! I think these issues would mostly be avoided if you had a local with you (not necessarily a tour guide but just a local you befriend).
As much as it may be annoying, it always hurts my heart to think of people spending all their time, trying to get money on the street. That child is still an ordinary child, but instead of going out and having fun with his own time and his friends, he must beg strangers in a restaurant for cash. I'm an American who lives in an area with less poverty than most, so maybe that's just me being ignorant. I don't know. Thanks anyway for visiting this country and sharing your experience!! Love from USA
Quite the challenge there my brother but thanks staying the course. A great glimpse at Egypt. Would like to visit some day. As for content, well... I guess you just deal😊💪🏾
Visited Egypt in 2005 and it was a relatively nice experience and I easily got a visa. Visited the Museum and it was amazing. Just like you, I was shocked by the size of the Pyramids stones. I was also surprised that the pyramids were very close to the city. I thought that it was like a 2-hour trip into a desert. I don't need a visa now due to having a European passport so can easily go there.
@@TayoAinaFilms The further south you go, the more friendly the locals are. I hope you visit South Egypt by train like Luxor or Aswan. They have many sites in the South as well.
I am British and live much of the year in Egypt as my wife is Egyptian. I have never had any of the problems you seem to have had and only ever found Egyptians friendly and very helpful. The naan bread you mentioned is actually balady bread, which is usually very thin and hollow in the middle ( much like a pitta bread but round) it is a staple to Egyptians especially for the poor.
@@shepard4245 I know you didn't ask me😁 but because I'm arab I'll tell you not all arab Muslims so not all Egyptians Muslims there are many Christians there it's 50/50 , because Christianity enter Egypt before Islam so its normal to see mosque and church next to each other without any problems. Egypt, Palestaine, syria and Lebanon all of those Arab countries but not all of ppl over there are Muslims
exactly. egyptians are super friwendly and hoapitable and above all principles, appreciate their roots and traditions and fear God. It is a place that embraces diversity and and inclusive.
as an Kenyan I want to visit the pyramids one day. But, I heard so many bad things about Egypt. For example human trafficking. This is so scary. So this country is cancelled.
THE FLIES!!!...Tayo I remember as a kid eating, and a fly landed on my Iyan. I cried out to my mother. What did my mother say back to me? "The fly has to eat too" I got even more angry LOL! Tayo, your brilliance in vlogging is growing and growing congrats! on always achieving. My brother from another mother. Yay! to Ondo State people.
The people are nice but the government gives hard time to the tourists but there might be a reason we don’t know what is going out there but as a African who speaks Arabic it’s good when u understand them
A big tip for visiting Egypt is to bring a friend. A lot of these problems would be solved. Also you're right its absolutely ridiculous for it to be easier for Europeans to come to us than our own African brothers. The state always favours them, even over us Egyptians. But you're mostly 100% right about these problems in Egypt 🇪🇬 but again a lot of them disappear when uou bring someone with you. And better yet, a local.
Its srange that your covernment favors european more than egyptians? I am from one small country in europe and its same thing here. Covernment favors africans and middle easteners more than us.

And from rape maybe less than year. And prison is not so hard anyway. Long ago moral of people was better than now. Education is good but not what you hear from youtube. We had exams and homeworks a lot. Covernment is hated by finns who have traditional thinking. Current covernment is trying to push laws that encourages feminism, lgtb and all other western polution. We are not originally western people but finno ugrics. Finns use to be under the power of sweden and sweden forced western politicis on finland. Russia did lot more good to finland than sweden never did. And now finland is joining to NATO. Nato is american system and we dont need that. We should not be with west.
I'm European and emigrated to Egypt ten years ago. The first time we visited the pyramids the guys opened the car door and one jumped on the back of the car. We were with two local Egyptians and they were also flabbergasted. When you live here you know where to eat and enjoy. I would for example never eat in the place you sat down. But ofcourse you are a tourist so they should work on this. There is much more to see than just Cairo.
I was in Egypt, in April, and I passed through this same place, in Khan-el-Khalilih, close to the mosque. Those who were sitting were not Western tourists, but people who appeared to be Egyptians, it was at sunset, and they were waiting to break the fast for that day.
Africans being hostile to Africans in all its clarity is a prison-minded mentality. How we expect to develop as a continent I don't know. It's easier to network Europe once you're in there, but African no way. This thing is pretty strange. Kudos Tayo
They are culturally Arabs mostly in Egypt. These Arabs there today came from the Saudi peninsular having invaded and conquered after the rise of Islam. They like the whites in South Africa are not Africans.

Basically, if you stay away from the key tourist hot spots, there are few touts. But it is for sure one of the tougher countries to feel comfortable and at times safe as a tourist. I enjoyed your video, well done.
Thank you so much Taino. I 've never been to Egypt. After hearing about all the restrictions, beggers, flies etc., I pass. Your video with great images is sufficient for me. God bless you abundantly Taino.
Hey! I just come back from a 2 week trip from Egypt too. While I loved the country and the sights of the country the people of Cairo really put me off from visiting it again, at least until things will change. From the moment we stepped of our plane they were trying to scam some money out of us. I traveled to over 50 countries and never been to any other place, where someone would only help us with directions if we paid him money for it! I also visited Sharm el Sheik, Alexandria, Memphis and Luxor which were all way better experiences than Cairo. It's really shame though, as Cairo has so much to offer too, but all these little things just ruin your experience there and makes you not want to come back there ever again.
I am not from Cairo, but I am very sorry + this is normal when the government neglects what is happening, whether in Egypt or in any other country I am very sorry for you
I had the same exact experience! They scammed us from the time we landed til the time we left! They straight up yelled at us “Americans!! How can we take your moneeeey?” Like what? From the lady doing our henna, to the luggage handlers and drivers…. EVERYBODY tried to scam us. I will never return.
This is how every tourstic capital in the world full of scammers .. went to Paris and they stole my money in the the tour effile so I can’t say people of Paris are bad
I've been to Egypt twice this year (2024), and I live in the US (US citizen), I have had different experiences, and while the government is a big cause of the problems in Egypt, there is so much to see and do (Red se, Mediterranean, Caico, Lusur, Aswan, etc...).
I visited Egypt last week. It's a beautiful country with nice people havingsome spectacularplaces, and to share my experience, it was fairly good without any hurdles. We need to be extra cautious whichever country we travel considering our safety point of view.
Egypt is a beautiful, picturesque and wonderful country that has enough of its original civilization..it is the most beautiful country in the world..every corner of it has a story and meaning..we should not look at the small negatives that exist in your country and all countries of the world and generalize..we have security, safety and good hospitality..people Egypt is a hospitable people..and we welcome you and everyone..

Thank you for visiting Egypt, my friend. In terms of creating content, I have succeeded in presenting the wonderful tourist places. Although I am Egyptian and these scenes are familiar to me, I enjoyed them while watching them. But why do you look at the half-empty cup? What I saw of the negatives is known to every free scholar, but we as Egyptian Muslims We do not differentiate between those of color, white or black, for we are all brothers and we are all the same, although we love our brothers from Africa because we are from one continent, which is the brown continent... Greetings to you and thank you for coming
Egypt is both interesting and scary! Lol! I feel there is a lot of deep untapped spiritual power in Egypt that can transform not just Africa but the whole world. I mean Nikola Tesla was obsessed with the idea of the pyramids and as much as he spent time and energy studying it, he still couldn’t crack the code. Egypt is definitely on my wishlist even though I’m sure I can’t travel there alone.. It’s also so sad that there is an easier route from Europe to Egypt than from Nigeria to Egypt… African tourism within Africa is so poor and it’s sad. I hope Africa can get it right not just for tourism but even for ourselves… well done Tayo! Great job
True I follow a number of spiritual people/ teachers that for some reason this year all plan to go to Egypt on group tours. Maybe 2023 is a special year, but fully agree those ancient sites holds a lot of power you can tap into. Many videos also on UA-cam, I think the channel 4bittenknowledge talked about water ran in tunnels in the pyramid area and they were able to generate some sort of power 🔋 to different uses. Very fascinating and mysterious.
@Dean even if we disobeyed God In the Bible he still blessed us with many good things around The problem is if we could fix Africa and not depend on other countries for things And if we could all say no to corruption Africa will be great If we fix our self we would be great Even if Noah caused the land of cannan cannan was still bless It wasn't God that caused us We can't wait till God says Africa would be bless We have to work it out self And God will help us
I am Mahmoud from Egypt. I would like to apologize on behalf of anything that happened to you. I know that it is not easy to photograph and reach some places, but as I saw the people are simple and the shrines and places are many. I hope and welcome that you visit Egypt again and go to other governorates such as Alexandria, which is the city that was built on me The hand of Alexander the Great and Port Said, which is the city in which the Suez Canal Authority is located thanks for ur time❤️❤️
Awesome documentary. Glad to see your back documenting Africa. The restrictions African countries put on each other is just crazy. It needs to be discussed more. Well done.
I was just in Rome and they try to sell you stuff on the streets as you are just walking by, it was very annoying. In Istanbul, restaurants charge you more than what is listed on the menu when they think they can get away with it and many other situations where they try to rip you off. Mexico and Dominican Republic you can't have a meal without sharing it with flies and other bugs and they go through a vigorous sloppy senseless customs routine in the airport. In DR they took my 78 year old mom off the plane after she boarded for some more security check that they missed the first time around. My point is all most all countries have their negative and positive experiences, that's what makes traveling a learning and exciting experience.
Look at documentary naa👏👏👏Tayo you are indeed the bull in this game👌👌. Enjoyed hearing the history and nice they allowed camera inside,I was also thinking same but God forbid sha🏃🏃🏃🏃. 15mins worth my watch👌👌👌

The fact that you shot this wholesome documentary on a smartphone is a teachable moment and it's really impeccable.💪🏿
Was thinking the same man
I was sent back from Alexandria Airport for no reason at all. They looked at my passport and canceled my visa without talking to me. I stayed at the airport for 12 hours, and nobody asked me any questions. Finally, an airline employee gave me my passport and a ticket to go back to my country. Seeing all of this has made me change my mind about visiting Egypt.
Where are you from?
What passport do you hold?

Loved your video, brought back memories from when I went inside the Pyramids. Wishing you all the best from the UK.
Tayo, you did such a good job considering the difficulties in filming. Certainly, Egypt is not for the weak.
I really enjoy your videos! Haven't been to Egypt but I know many people who have and they pretty much say the same as what you've said. The best thing is to get a local guide or go with a tour group, but as an independent traveler trying to do it alone, it's tough going.
Can’t agree more 👍
Hi, loved this video!!!
Also if You want to try some of the traditional Egyptian foods here's a list:
- Molokhiya
- Kushary (pasta, with rice, with lentils and a saus)
- Tamiya, the Egyptian version of falafel
- bamya (Okra in tomato saus)
Yes, Egypt is beautiful, but all the countries of the world have slums, and he did not go to the beautiful places and cities in Egypt, and Egypt is the most beautiful of all.
i love egypt
Egypt is very beautiful
Glade you like it and yes come back to Egypt but I recommend to be after the opening of the great museum it will be minutes of walking from the pyramids
The opening ceremony will be at the end of this year
And best months to visit from october to May otherwise it will be very sunny 🌞
Thank you for this video. I enjoyed it
Despite the shortage of shooting gears, your storytelling is still amazing.
You can say that again.
❤️
I visited Egypt in December, it was a life time experience. Yes people will try to hustle you at every opportunity, which is to be expected in any capital city especially if you go to down town. If you visit the uptown, Mall of Egypt or Arabia the places are amazing, the people are lovely and the shisha is good too. The place I would recommend to visit Hurgadah, very beautiful, relaxed, close to the Red Sea, lovely food places🤩.
If I receive my housing unit this year in Hurghada, God willing, I will invite you to visit Hurghada in my house
Any capital city? Um, no. I don’t know where you travel but perhaps you should qualify your statement with “3rd world city”.
I went to hurghada serenity fun city in December there were people hustling us but the people were nice and it was the best experience of my life
Another _Great_ presentation my Brother. I haven't yet been to Egypt, but I love the challenges you have outlined. This is why we travel: to experience both the pleasant and unpleasant - and *see for ourselves* how our Brothers and Sisters manage.
You spoke with so much wisdom, this is great.
Deep Dive
This video is deceptive and aims to distort the image of Egypt. Even the image in the main video is fabricated and unreal..
Nigeria is ugly and so poor compared to Egypt, besides, Nigeria is full of
disases and one of them is Malaria, so any visitor traveling to Nigeria has to take some medicine against Malaria before traveling there.

Indeed, Alexandria for example is a very great place too!
Exactly the advice i give my foreign friends who plan to visit Egypt will always be "stay away from Cairo and giza" they're not tourists friendly cities at all just hit the pyramids and other historical sites you want to visit and get the fvcc out of here fly to Luxor or sharm el sheikh or anywhere else
i think its like everyone that thinks London is the whole UK. Capitals are marketed differently

The guards are there bc of past attacks on tourists. Egypts economy is reliant on tourism.
Yes, the poor children made me cry too. I always gave them money and sweets and fruits.
@@renataostertag6051 Don´t give them money !
Yes, there is still armed guards escorting tourists, not only americans. I was there in April, on a group of 20 people, and what you tell me about the cruise doesn't surprise me, if they are on each scale, it's because they also travel somewhere on the ship

And I've been to Nigeria and Egypt. Nigeria is ugly and so poor compared to Egypt, besides, Nigeria is full of
disases and one of them is Malaria, so any visitor traveling to Nigeria has to take some medicine against Malaria before traveling there.
We are happy with this 😊😊 we don't want to see someone like you
Hey! Tayo my Nigeria brother welcome to Egypt Cairo I live here in Egypt so I understand most of the things you complained about especially the non English speaking part it's so difficult 😩🤦😂 been staying here for almost a year but had no time to explore yet so thanks for showing me some parts 😊☺️ working here is not easy.. plus a lot of them are not so welcoming to foreigners and is difficult to do somethings here to even go to some places.. especially when you live in the trenches area 🤦and yeah the beggars part to🤦😂 not easy but we thank God..
Shark El Sheikh was Heaven!!

Thanks Mr Tayo for this amazing video🥰🥰
I visited Egypt last week. It's a beautiful country with nice people havingsome spectacularplaces, and to share my experience, it was fairly good without any hurdles. We need to be extra cautious whichever country we travel considering our safety point of view.
thank you
fair enough
You not black
@@vaughnreedjr6592don't want to be
@@vaughnreedjr6592Egypt is not a black country. It's Arabic country.
Egypt welcomes refugees from africa and syria and others so we r far from being agressive... i think our police is kinder than israeli soldiers who pride in killing helpless palestinian children... viva egypt
This documentary is very helpful. Thanks alot bro! I can’t wait to experience as well!
This experience doesn't seem fun at all but those Pyramids though!! incredible!
There is no untapped nothing there..
@@gideonkobby4730 hahaha, "there's no untapped nothing."..
The greatest supernatural power is in the name of jesus Christ, the Bible
@Dean even if we disobeyed God In the Bible he still blessed us with many good things around
The problem is if we could fix Africa and not depend on other countries for things
And if we could all say no to corruption
Africa will be great
If we fix our self we would be great
Even if Noah caused the land of cannan cannan was still bless
It wasn't God that caused us
We can't wait till God says Africa would be bless
We have to work it out self
And God will help us
I am Mahmoud from Egypt.
Well done.
It's really crazy.....
Tayo thank you for this video and all you do for Africa
I suggest you go to the more modern places like New Cairo because Inner Cairo is like an enviroment made that only egyptians can survive.
My point is all most all countries have their negative and positive experiences, that's what makes traveling a learning and exciting experience.
love the vids. love from the horn of africa!
Look at documentary naa👏👏👏Tayo you are indeed the bull in this game👌👌. Enjoyed hearing the history and nice they allowed camera inside,I was also thinking same but God forbid sha🏃🏃🏃🏃. 15mins worth my watch👌👌👌

Great video Tayo ! I've been to Egypt many times.. A wonderful, beautiful country, and yes there are scammers and beggars. But besides that most Egyptian people are fantastic, warmharted and very friendly. Going back in 2 months 🙏
