I love how “Toad Stands By” is casually mentioned. Easily one of my top favorite stories

Superb .... A slight regret in changing from UK prototype to Australian in 2018 every time I see another Rapido model😮

@@RapidoTrainsUK tempting ... but I have driven Y 159 ( see Sandy Creek on my channel) and probably will never get the chance to drive a 57 xx now

2:27 People noticed you gave one of your GER trams Toby's old GER number, and now you refer to the incident with Scruffy as being from a "children's story" instead of a "children's show." You cannot hide your Railway Series heritage. We're on to you. :)
(I loved the show Thomas and Friends as a child and might never have gotten into collecting British outline if my dad hadn't bought me an Athearn Blue Box box with five Bachmann Branchline seven-plank wagons in it so I could give my Bachmann USA Thomas more rolling stock to pull. Now I'm watching a video about private owner British wagons (including 7 plank ones) and making a joke about the books that inspired the show, which I've begun to experience for myself over the past few months. Model railroading and the Reverend Awdry's creations continue to delight me to this day.)

Something I've noticed is that you don't offer the option of working 3-link couplings (with or without the 'instanter' link versions). Whilst I know that many modellers opt for the tension-lock variety, some would prefer the 3-link couplings. If the integrally moulded draw hooks could be used, why not put the links in a detailing pack? Just a suggestion.

It's a good question, some of our staff use 3-links couplings on their own stock. There are a number of things to consider:
-A lot of working 3-links have over-scale loops and hooks to make them easier to use, which might displease people who want scale sized hooks
-Many conversions use sprung drawgear which might not be practical in an RTR wagon and would add significant cost (which would annoy people not using them)
-Using rigid drawgear might not please people who want sprung drawgear (who would likely be looking to do a DIY conversion anyway, so having the 3-link included would not benefit them)
-There are also questions about capability (e.g. what drawbar weight do the couplings need to be able to hold before they break?) and that creates a QC challenge. With a cosmetic hook this isn't taken into account.
That said, with anything like this, we always try to keep an open mind and never say never, it may one day become an option. Our locos are usually supplied with cosmetic coupling loops although they can't generally be used to pull trains.
Thanks very much for your interest and we hope this response sheds some light on the things we try to consider for our customers.

interesting background story. Cheers! Still have some GWR stock on order so I'll have to wait a bit. There's three of these RCH in my sights though.

Since you have produced the 16" Hunslet 0-6-0T in Holly Bank No. 3 livery, how about a trio of Holly Bank wagons to go with it?

You may be interested in the exclusive commissions by World of Railways which are very close in livery to those used by the NCB at Holly Bank and elsewhere:

You must be kidding. I know all about these and I am a relative beginner. I collect lots of private owner wagons for the East Midlands. I have several books on them too.
