Nice job Oliver! That turned out fantastic! Love your engineering skills, look at something and make it work! Everything is coming together very nicely. I love how the fender turned out and the custom hood! Very sweet! Thanks for the great video, like I said before, a great way to wake up in the morning! Stay safe and healthy buddy!
That's a great job, my 1974 Mazda Rx4 had the factory front tilt hood, I really like the style. I thought about doing it to my 64 Chevelle I just finished restoring but just didn't think it would turn out good. I'm now on to restoring a 64 El Camino, you've inspired me to attempt it.
I think this is awesome. I did something similar, but used a 1982 Dodge Rampage body instead. I ended up getting rid of the project because i had no time to work on it. I miss it a lot. Great work. Keep up the good work.
I like the difference. Reverse hinged hood is a great idea. You would never check oil at the gas station. You would never want to check oil on a windy day 😜
I love your videos, ive been watcheng them for a week so far. I would just like to say that you transitions from talking to music and music to talking startle me. LOL
I had a custom concept of a tilt front hood, but it would separate at the fender body line (hood welded with support structure to fenders), with a welded panel just below the body line (maybe two panels forward and aft of the wheel well). The concern is the fuel filler door, does it stay attached to the fender or is mounted to the structure? The former seems the best option (with a seal between filler structure and backside of fender). I'd likely have the rear also separate at the fender body line (hinged normally) and either create a fake separation on the doors or have it painted to give the illusion? ;-) I was thinking of Saab 900 hood hinges.
@@pissedoffpistongarage u sure, Like going over a railroad track or a bouncy road. It looked like it spear right into the casing. Does it turn when u shut the lid? Or stay in that position. Just the movement of the body . I hope u understand my thought process.
Hey Oliver! I got a job for ya, kendra wanted me to reach out this way first, but you can reach me through your sister. i got a small project that there's no garage or shop here in my town that will undertake what i want done. hmu. i look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks Don! I’m amazed it actually worked how I wanted it too! I’m glad you liked it!

Thanks! It’s definitely something you don’t see every day!
There nothing like crafting your own dream car! Great work!
Not sure if I would consider a Corvair my dream car thank you!!

Thank you! I’ll look at my editing and try to make it more smooth from talking to music!
I had a 1957 Ford Fairlane an 58 Ranch Wagon and a 59 Thunderbird with reverse opening hoods. I always thought they were cool.
Good job on the project
Thank you! I’m very pleased with the results!
love this, want to do this on my 66 v8 vair!
You should do it!!
So cool! Good job man 👍
Thanks!!
Good Job.
Thank you!
That looks sick! see you are semi smart! not just any monkey could make that work.
Awww🥲 maybe. I don’t know if that’s a compliment or not but thank you!
Very cool
Thanks Mathew!

That would be awesome! You should definitely build it! I would love to see that!
Unfortunately, in my 65 years, I've never have had the resources (facilities, funds, etc...) to do even the easiest of my concepts (15?).
Trunk latches would work..
What do you mean?
You should have gotten a Chevy Vega hood hinge
Good luck finding one. Vegas are hard to come by.
Cool man
Thanks man!
I'm new here...is your gas tank in the back or where that opening
What about the damage to the battery when it shoves down
Good question. The hinge I made and the gas struts clear it. So it has nothing but room
