I love your painting I am into drawing but I have started painting sometime last year still trying to get the hang of it mixing colors I never went to college for it just free handed I have always enjoyed seeing other artist painting it makes me more inspiring to want to do more with what I have there is a saying (use it or lose it) and I don't want to lose it.
Quite amazing process from the raw, strong underpainting of the hair and them seemingly building layers wet in wet - so that a very intense feeling of movement and mystery and beauty comes to expression
You are right Lis but this was painted in 2 steps. Underpainting 0:00 to 4:55 and Glazing 4:56 to 19:10. There is a drying period between these 2 steps... Thank you for your comment!
I love your work. You are a fantastic portrait artist. In this video I would have loved to see the strokes as you paint but i couldn't see the tip of your brush.
groovy... nice music, who are these cats, they sound good. O, I forgot, the painting, well, what can one say here other than "magic". Let me add the word "pure" magic. Well done Isabelle and nice one for sharing.
Wonderful to watch it emerge. The problem is that your hand is in the way of every stroke so I cannot see what you are doing. Nevertheless, beautiful painting.
Thank you for your comment - but A voice over - I dont know how I can do that - if I find out I will try to make one about my thoughts of the painting process as a possible way of opening into altered states of consciousness (open multidimentionalities of body-mind-event-)
Love your painting, very beautifull, but cant see nothing because of your hand... Maybe a side angle? Should show us a better view of the brush stroking the canvas... The way of the brush.. counts! ☺️
Its great to see how it advances, but I can't really see how you are working the brush.. your hand is always covering the strokes and the brush.. I an't see what you are doing with the brush.. I don,t mind the speed.. but please I want to see your brush, the pressure, each stroke..
It's an older video Norma. I corrected this situation for the more recent videos but I thought it demonstrated the principle of background color first and the details afterwards. This hair is similar (color and curls): ua-cam.com/video/3rVNhUztM_I/v-deo.html I hope it helps...
I know, this video is several years old.... I left it anyway because you can still see the principle: the shapes first and then the details. I will probably do another one with my new equipment eventually. Thank you for your feedback biji!
It's an older video Raju. I corrected this situation for the more recent videos but I thought it demonstrated the principle of background color first and the details afterwards so I published it anyway.
Love your style. You start out very loose but the layers build into a very finely finished piece. Very pleasing to watch it build.
I am glad you like it! Thank you for your comment Michael!

I would love a voice-over explains your thought process.
Thank you. Intriguing!
Perfection! Wish my models' faces could magically sort themselves out like then while I worked on their hair...
Thank you Armaan!
Please share what colors you are using for your hair tones!! SIMPLY STUNNING!!!!!

Thank you so much DoMBili!
Beautiful! Am doing a portrait of my oldest grandson and am finding the hair is the most difficult part!
Yes, hair is always a challenge Ms. Sonshine!
The best tutorial in hair I have ever seen, My God Isa you are a very talented artist,
I am glad you liked it Rosa!
Nice job Isabelle. I am going to use what I learned to rework the hair on a girl I painted last week. Hair is my weak point.
I am glad to hear that the video was helpful! Thank you for your comment Charles!

Stunning work! But, this isn't a demo. Just speed painting!
Your right about that alright.
Very beautiful work... Awesome...
More than expected. God's gift. God bless you
Thank you so much Kishore!
Bravissima 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻😃
Well done, thanks!
Hi, nice work!! I wonder what brush(es) you use in size and type of hair (and possibly brand). Can you tell a bit more about it?
Honestly Michiel, I am using a big bunch of brushes of all shapes, all sizes, all quality, all prices. Thank you for your comment!
groovy... nice music, who are these cats, they sound good. O, I forgot, the painting, well, what can one say here other than "magic". Let me add the word "pure" magic. Well done Isabelle and nice one for sharing.
Music is by Kevin MacLeod. I am glad you enjoyed the painting! Thanks for watching!
Nice one Isabelle...
Great painting!
Thank you so much Michael!
I really like how you paint! I was wondering whether the colours you used for glazing, are they transparent? Or semitransparent? Or are they opaque?
I am trying to use transparent colours for glazing. If it is not possible, when you add the oil, it becomes more transparent. Thanks for watching Lee!
Amazing... excellent , thank you 🤗
Thank you so much Gabriel!
wow !
Thank you manoj!

je rêve de pouvoir peindre aussi bien,
vous êtes si douee.
Non...
👍👍👍👍
Thank you Alexandra!
Muy hermoso!
Many thanks Natalia!
Wonderful to watch it emerge. The problem is that your hand is in the way of every stroke so I cannot see what you are doing. Nevertheless, beautiful painting.
That's actually a problem that many UA-cam artists encounter can't be helped.
I'll see what I can do M A... Thanks for watching!

Good work
Thank you Nilesh!

Great 😙
Thank you noor noor!
Why did you jump at 4:52 from an under painting to the blended face. This was the most important part.
This video is about the hair... You can watch this video about blending the face: ua-cam.com/video/a1Dnrdi0rcY/v-deo.html ;)
Its great to see how it advances, but I can't really see how you are working the brush.. your hand is always covering the strokes and the brush.. I an't see what you are doing with the brush.. I don,t mind the speed.. but please I want to see your brush, the pressure, each stroke..

🎉
😍🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹.. 😘
Thank you mohamad!
👍👍👍👍👍🌺🌻🌺🌻🌺
Thanks again
I've been painting hair wrong my whole life 😂
It6 would be nice to see the paint brush strokes not the back of your hand, great painting.
Sorry to say that ,we can't see what you are doing with your brush. I think there is some lack of camera consciousness. Anyway it is a good portrait.
I know, this video is several years old.... I left it anyway because you can still see the principle: the shapes first and then the details. I will probably do another one with my new equipment eventually. Thank you for your feedback biji!

Thank you for your comment Luisa! I will try to remedy this in next videos...
i am sorry could you put the camera not so straight? your hand covers totally what you are drawing.
Thank you for your comment Bess. I always try to do better from one video to another. Thanks for watching!
I thought exactly te same. :-(
You camera is having variable exposure making it hard to see sometimes

That doesn't look at all like a possible hairdo. More like a bundle of tarred rope.
Too bad the hand is in the way most of the time....
I am sorry about that Sonja... Adjustments have been made for more recent videos.
