the hero we didn't ask for, but the hero we needed.
OMG!!! I crocheted this bag, it's so cool! Thank you very much for this tutorial ♥️
Glad you liked it:)
thank you sm for this tutorial!! I also saw this bag all over Pinterest and really wanted to make it and the vid looks super easy to follow. what size of hook did you use?
I used my old loom band hook lol
it looks like a 4/5 mm kinda hook, idk for sure though
@@mollymo1113 you’re right
@@mollymo1113 4.5?
I am not meaning this in a rude way, but it is kind of hard to hear you over the music at some parts. There’s also a point in the video where the sound cuts off. Yes I can visually see everything, but it also helps to be able to hear it.
yeah as soon as the sound was gone I was sort of lost and just went to that one comment where they explained how to do it lmao
Sorry guys UA-cam had to mute parts of this bc of copyright!!!
how did you make multiple rows on the top of the bag (like the part that connects the body of the bag and the straps)? also your an angel for making this tutorial 🙏🙏
I crocheted multiple rows of the double crochets,, like I kept in doing it until I have a few rows then I did the long chain for the strap does that make sense? 🤍
Tyyy! This was so helpful and the bag turned out so cute!!!
Thank you for this tutorial I’ll definitely try it I’m curious about the crochet hook never seen that before where did get it?
Thank you
I LOVE YOUR BAG!! 😍😍
Thank you!!
Omg it's a rainbow loom hook 😆
I like it so much 🥰😍😘👍
i love this bag !! i recently made it but it’s like pretty wide on the top and sides, is yours the same way ? i followed the tutorial all the way so i don’t know why it’s like that
Hmmm not rly mines the same width in the top as the bottom... I’m not really sure why it’s like that sorry
Cute bag! What size of yarn did you use?
It’s 8 ply
cute bag! could you explain how you made the straps?
I did a long chain and double crocheted in it until I liked the width of my strap. This is also in the video xx
@@wendycrochetsyt yes haha i was just a bit confused. thank u sm!!
No worries any other questions feel free to ask!!
Do you know how MUCH yarn you used for each color?💗 I’ll definitely try to make this❤️❤️
Sorry I’m not sure on the exact amounts but I think I used under 50g for each of the colours in the flowers (both blues, black and white) for the beige, I used around 1 ball (100g) !!
@@wendycrochetsyt thank you so MUCH!! I’ll buy some yarn This weekend so i Can make it💗💗
omg thank u so much! new sub ^^
Hello , i just finished my bag , it took me five days , and your video was really helpful thank you so much love 💗 i wanted to show u the result but i didn’t found ur instagram or any socials , so here i am , thank you 💗🫶🏻
Hey, I have a question, what yarn did you use? Because I know how much weight but I don't know how long your yarn balls were which is pretty important to me
All the yarn I used was 100% acrylic, and the label says they’re about 250 m per ball (100g) xx
@@wendycrochetsyt Thank you so much!
How many granny squares do we need in total?
19
I don't understand how did you do the strings
I have a question at the end of the cream color, after double in one hole, is it going to be half or double cr? answer me plss😫
I think you mean the corner bit, correct me if I’m wrong;) it should be double!!
how many did you leave in between each of the cain ones on top?
when you do the last row of the granny square, why do u do 3 double crochets and 3 half double crochets instead of all of them being the same??
Because I found that the edges of my granny squares weren’t straight like a square they were like a reuleaux square so doing half dcs helped make it straight.
And I didn’t do this for any other layers bc they didn’t need straight edges they’re not the outermost round of petals so you won’t be able to see their edges regardless if it’s straight or not so I didn’t bother for the other rounds of petals. hope this made sense!!
okay thank u
omg where did you got your hook? it looks so curious!
It was apart of my loom band kit that I got years ago x
do you chain one after each of the sand color yarn "petals" like in the other rows?
Yes! That’s right
@@wendycrochetsyt thank you!!! & thank you for the pattern! it’s so cute 💙
💓💓💓💓💓💓💓
What's the name of the yarn you used pls? I read all the comments but I didn't find a name
It’s the Makr DK 8ply Yarn, 100g Acrylic Yarn!!
@@wendycrochetsyt thaanks
Hi! What are the size of each of the squares? And the total size of the bag, including the ribbing?
The squares were abt 8cm by 8cm. Not sure about the total size though sorry
How many percent is cotton or is the yarn 100% cotton or is it 100% acrylic?
It’s 100% acrylic x
@@wendycrochetsyt thanksss
how many squares do you have all together? xx
19
What kind of yarn you use? Cotton?
My yarn was 100% acrylic xx
@@wendycrochetsyt thankyou
cool bag pattern, before clicking on this video i thought those were eyes on that bag
Haha thank you! They’re call the evil eye
has anybody written a pattern? my attention span is really low, video tutorials are really hard for me to sit through and written patterns really help me^^
I could write one for you will need a moment though:)
@@wendycrochetsyt thank you so much!! i really appreciate this ^^
@@wendycrochetsyt did you write it? this is the tuto i wanted but quality is a little bad so i need smth written :c
Crocheting the granny squares:
wrap a piece of yarn around your finger and then chain three from the loop. Then double crochet from the lube on your finger 11 more times until you have 12 posts of crochet from the loop. Then Once you’ve done that take the crochet off your finger and pull the tail of the loop to tighten 1:16
Then connect the last double crochet you did to the first post ( chain of 3). You do this by inserting your hook into the second chain off the chain of three then pull up a loop and pull one loop through then chain one. 1:35 after that you’re going to cut your yard and pull the tail of the yarn through the loop completely then tighten the knot. That is your black centre of the bag completed.
For the first round of petals, grab some yarn I used light blue and make a slipknot. Insert your hook into any stitch on your black flower centre, then pull the slipknot through and chain 2. Then do 2 more double crochets from the loop. When you have three double crochets from the same loop you’re going to chain one and do you three double crochets in the next black loop, repeat this until you’ve done three double crochets in every black loop of your flower centre. And then you’re going to connect the last double crochet to the first chain again like we did before in the black yarn so just do that again and cut off your light but yarn and tighten the knot. For the next round of petals I crocheted in white you do the same thing as the light blue round, But when you have three petals (aka three sets of three double crochets) in the fourth stitch you are going to do 6 double crochets total. So that means you do three and then chain 2 then another three double crochets in the same stitch.(essentially just two petals in one stitch) and they’re corner stitches so you Will need to do them for the four corners of your square or in every fourth stitch. Once you’ve crocheted all the way around connect to the first post as usual and then do a knot and cut your yarn. Next round of petals is the same but you do corner stitches in every fifth stitch of the previous row. The stitch after same thing but do corner petals in every sixth stitch of the previous row. And by now I think you would get the idea every time you go into a new round of petal you increase a petal between corner stitches... you can then repeat this however many times you would like. In total I did 5 rounds of petals including the centre. My granny squares for about 8 x 8 cm from memory, you need 19 granny squares total for the bag. Next you connect the squares together >>> I’ll write that in the next comment.
Hey yes I’ve written sorta like instructions on the granny squares... not exactly a pattern but I ain’t a pro at the I don’t know all the correct terms. Either way hope it helps and any questions comment here xx
what is 8 ply ? 😭
It refers to the thickness of the yarn, meaning the yarn is made of 8 threads 😁
@@wendycrochetsyt would that be size 4 yarn in american term?
I’m not 100% sure but I looked it up and it coverts you a size 3 in standard yarn weight. 8 ply yarn is about 210m - 250m (mine was 230m) per 100g so check if your yarn says the length per 100g. Hope that helps!!
@@wendycrochetsyt tysm!
Whats the material of the yarn that u used ?
Just 100% acrylic
@@wendycrochetsyt thanksss🥰🥰
what size hook did you use?
4/5 mm!!
Xq no lo ponen en español
do you know the measurement of your squares??
It’s 8cm by 8 cm ish from memory x
@@wendycrochetsyt u sure? with the brown part?
As far as I remember yes including the brown part ,, I could be a bit off though cuz I don’t have the bag with me to measure...
Could you put subtitles in spanish please?, and thanks for the tutorial 😁😁
Could look into doing that☺️
