Hi Sam! I bought the same fabric 2 years ago from Debbie. I love it and made the cutest little onesie, for a new baby, to go under some overalls (dungarees). And it looks just as cute on you! Debbie has wonderful fabrics and is adding more and more dressmaking fabrics of all kinds to her site all the time. Her prices are great as well. There must be something in the air for us sewists and feeling the need to sort, clean out, organize, etc not only our homes but our sewing spaces. You're not the only vlogger who's mentioned it and I spent all day yesterday doing the same. I love all the colors in the SHJ fabric as well, but I just don't fancy paisley designs, unfortunately. I'm sure once it's made up you will love it.
Hi Sam... How about some trousers and wearing a plain black top with them... It keeps the busy fabric away from your upper body and it's definately on trend... 😊
I would probably make a skirt, then so many colour choices for a top. I never thought of just using a chiffon for sleeves. I thought the fabric you have would look amazing with a blue chambray. My husband and I call those cookies airplane cookies because that is where we first had them😂
love love the fabric colours and pattern ...for me personally a dress, trousers, or blouse would be too full on ..however.. a maxi skirt with plain tee stunning ...I think I really must purchase some for just that 😊 i
Hi Sam, for the chiffon a buttons and bobbins boxy top to wear over a camisole/ vest and fir tge main a Lavant top from Sussex seamstress. That's what I think so far. 🎉
I think any shirt dress would look great in that fabric. I would. I would make a vintage shirt dress just because I am planning one. I'm coming hear from watching you on stash hub so I don't know what patterns you have.
Its is very busy I think I would use it as a skirt for a dress with the top done in a plain colour, black or pick out one of the colours of the fabric.
I am also thinking shirt dress for that fabric. Style Arc has a number of lovely shirt dress patterns. Anais and Palmer for example, but also a few more.
@ a lantern sleeve would look amazing in that as it will hold the shape. Would the Romy Lantern top work? Might not be ‘you’ as you don’t love pouffy sleeves as much as I do :-)
I think the main fabricwould look good as a loose summer jacket, interfaced.
I do love watching an unboxing!

That fabric would make a great pair of wide legged trousers
I agree, I made wide leg trousers with a similar fabric from a SHJ box last year.

I’m not much of a skirt wearer to be honest, but I’d definitely consider one if I found the right pattern xx
A shirt dress would look wonderful. My go to shirt dress is The Assembly Line shirt dress. Very easy and looks great. Good luck
Thank you so much!
I’ll go look at that one x

I'd make a full skirt to wear with brownish boots 😊
Great unboxing. Loved my box too. I think a top from the main fabric and not sure about the other. 🎉
Yes the chiffon is tricky
Any pattern ideas?

I have a few Shirt dress patterns.
I love the idea of a vintage shirt dress x

Agreed, it’s very busy ⭐️❤️
I like the main fabric and can see it made up as a shirt dress. Continue to sparkle Sam 😂f
Thanks lovely 🥰
What about either the Saturday skirt or Mave skirt with the Sew Hayley fabric?
Very nice unboxing Sam, I think I’d make the Sew House Seven Regalia blouse in the main fabric ❤❤
I do have that pattern!
@ Maybe it’s meant to be Sam 😀👍🏻

Great ideas x
xXX👍👍👍
Would the Ladera Dress by Itch to Stitch suit you? I’d love to see that sewn up.
I don’t have that pattern
I’ll definitely take a look x
Would your Paisley work as a floaty blouse to wears under a plain pinafore dress? Maybe like that Sew Different one you made for the NEC show?
It’s a poplin, so I’m not sure how floaty it would be. I’m thinking maybe a shirt?

is the fabric enough for pj's?
Shirtdress....not pants. I like both fabrics. Nice problem to have....
A jacket with plain coloured tee and trousers.
