The cold and snowy weather covered the lifeless rocks of the mountain. Hojat, with heavy steps of worry, returned to the same spot. But there was no sign of Kulthum and Asana. The empty and lifeless tent was the only evidence of the deadly silence that had prevailed in the air. The rustling of leaves under Hojat's feet was the only sound that broke the heavy silence of the mountain. The operator had brought him terrible news: the demon had come here. Hojat, with tearful eyes and a heart full of terror, searched the mountain. Every stone, every tree, every crevice reminded him of sweet memories of the past and the terrible nightmare of the present. But there was no sign of Kulthum and Asana. Hojat did not know what had happened to his wife and child. He went to the location of the demon's hut, hoping in his heart that perhaps the demon could give him information. But it was empty there too. The demon had disappeared. Hojjat, in the height of despair and terror, was left alone and helpless in the midst of the merciless mountains. The fate of Kulthum and Asana was shrouded in a halo of ambiguity.
