The island's south and southeast seashores are white sand beaches, while the north and northeast sides are rocky with small beaches.
Although Double Island is a paradise in its own right, the entire island of Palawan contains some breathtaking oases such as Nasirik Island, one of the most beautiful islands in the Philippines that is surrounded by a live coral reef and is located just northwest of the Double Island. Palawan is also rich in history, as the Tabon Cave, the Philippines' oldest human settlement, is located only 19 kilometers southwest of the Double Island.
