For someone who apparantly couldn't sing, and was also so active on stage, damn, she had a good voice singing this underrated classic! I was 8 years old when this concert happened! I was also absolutely obsessed with (this) Madonna. One day, I hope technology will allow us all to put a headset on and be at this concert. Until that day, Happy New year everyone! 2022. I saw this concert in London Wembley stadium, I was just a teenager. This song was not released yet and was from the movie so we all heard it for the first time at that concert !! I had goosebumps all over my body and the tears just kept falling. Words could never describe the feeling this song created being sang to us live by Madonna. It's the most significant moment from the the entire concert for me. ❤️
@@TheCharliemike11 i get goosebumps and cry now at 43 years old just watching this on UA-cam. Must have been amazing being there. I had the great fortune as an 11 year old to be at Wembley for the Blonde Ambition Worid Tour. I wish one day I get to experience those feelings again. Stay blessed. 🙌🏼
For an untrained vocalist with a rather thin (not to say weak) voice, I've always admired Madonna's ability to conjure up emotions through her imperfect vocals. I'd really rather listen to her than someone who's absolutely flawless and perfect. I love the way her voice cracks at times, but also how deep, raw and vulnerable it is. Add to that her strong artistic identity and her visual universe (at least up until 2005), and there's no wonder why she's the biggest selling female artist. I don't like what she's become, but she'll always have a special place in my heart because of the incredible body of pop work she's built. And this has to be my favorite performance from hers when it comes to vocals. Such an underrated song. She's just as good for dance bangers as she is for heartfelt ballads.
She sounded so much better at the beginning of this tour than at the end. Today singers who want to protect their voice dont sing more than 3 times per week, back then she was doing back to back shows and this was her first international tour. The crowd was much better in Italy than in Japan, but her voice was shot by the last dates of the tour. If i could go back and be her tour manager i would have started in Italy and filmed the beginning. I love this song, and this performance. And she's completely live no backing track, like her tours were back then (except for Vogue, Erotica, and Justify--the spoken songs)
December 2019 here. This song is so Amasing, this performance is steller, her emotion is plapable, so good. It took me back to 1988 when i first got the VHS of caio italia recorder on Belgium TV, and some friend got from some relative. I was blown away then, still am.
I agree. An underrated song. I know it's very simple compared to other hits and rather a seasonal hit promoting the movie, but has deep lyrics and tender music. Such a great band and M. Sings her lungs out.
This is most definitely NOT lip-sync! She's actually flat in at least half of it. You wanna see lip-sync? Rent "Truth or Dare." I was actually at that concert in the beginning where she was complaining about how she couldn't hear herself. Unfortunately, the rest of the audience could--saying she couldn't hear herself at the same time as she was supposed to be singing! After that, I lost all respect for her. The "Who's that Girl" tour was excellent. The "Blond Ambition" tour was a sham. This was her absolute best concert, bar none.

Madonna... Ever since I was a small child I remember this woman and her amazing voice. I collected her albums and loved her fabulous style❤
