The production quality could be so much better...especially for ESPN. For a segment featuring Brett interviewing a rising star in Khamzat, you'd think they'd put some more attention to detail into it.

It will be this mystery energy that propels him on the hype train. Still have Usman winning when they match up.
The best of Khabib and Izzy maybe. Go back and watch Connors fights. He has one great fight, the one against Eddie that's it. Everything else is mediocre. He got a lucky punch on Jose but anyone I repeat anyone can get lucky and land one shot.
@@brandonluther80 you are a complete casual if you are serious about what you just said. Given 1000 fights a mediocre fighter below the top 15 would never land that punch on a prime Aldo.
@@R7SOUL his mysterious vibe is nothing about him as a person it’s more so him in his fighting abilities & how far he can really get. The mysterious vibe will only last if he dominates Burns in a way no other fighter has.
@@brandonluther80 I think you too would benefit from rewatching Conor. Conor in his prime was nothing short of sensational. “Lucky Punch”…. Sure he was matched up in a very biased way but the man could fight in a way that resembled magic.
Brett's best interview by far,great job.✌
After knowing Khamzat's story about his life and his mom I can definitely say He'll literally kill Colby for talking about his mom... just don't talk about them dagestanis and chechens family. That's not gonna end well
I honestly would love to see colby vs khamzat. The trashtalk would be interesting to say the least
@@MMAOdin Colby doesn't fight contenders in their prime, only when they're old
@@Pjj878 yeah I dont think colby will fight him either
Colby is looking to fight lightweight contenders only.
Colby only likes to fight with non wrestlers. That chicken will never fight Khamzat. If he does then the smesh of colby by Khamzat is apparent.
Khamzat lived at the gym! A real fighter
I just enjoy him saying Let's Go Brother 💯👊🏽👍🏽
This man is quickly becoming one of my favorite fighters ! He’s got the right mixture of pure animal and gentle soul.
This man is going to SMESH his way to international super-stardom! Stay humble my friend.
Wow, what an amazing interview... Khamzat will be a 3x belt holder.
His story is honestly something truly special. You can tell that his perseverance, motivation, and determination will allow him to reach the top. Everyone else is not even mentally on the same level, and that's what separates the good from the best.
I’ve never rooted for a fighter to own the world more than ever. Love you brother
That filmic shot of you both walking at the beginning was top notch. Great production. Well done to that crew.
Khabib had his dad. Khamzat didn’t.
khamzat has kadyrov
Not true he said for his father was off in a big city working
@@goofygoof212 kadyrov is a dictator, it's different
My guy is on ESPN now! Happy for you brother!
great guy, hope the best for him
Sleeping in that room in the gym there could only be one thing on your mind and that’s being the best in the world
Brett Okamoto saw the feedback on the John Gooden video where people were saying John is so much better. Now it looks like Brett has played his next move by doing a "real homey interview" rather than stage set interview to combat the criticism. Love seeing the subtle moves being played.
He’s like any interviewer. They’re all the same. Him, gooden etc. They just ask questions like they should
Love this format… Much more interesting and dynamic than sitting in a studio or on zoom. Great work!
Really nice interview.
I know they were working on it after I saw brett in one of Khamzat's videos
Reading comments is my favorite thing. I wish best for khamzat.
BEAST! Can’t wait to watch his fight! The guy is an absolute killer and has a wild personality.
And a big heart too.
This guy is something else. I dont think he will get beat for a LONG time
I have always believed in you since your UFC debut 🙏🏽
Nice , I wish it was longer
This was a great into with the walking and having a nice conversation
I’m not sure if ESPN does this often but wow this style of interview was so good to watch. The locations and editing really highlighted each theme Khamzat speaks about. Lovely stuff.
I wanna see him become champ so bad, dude is a savage
DIS DUDE IS A MANIAC,HE DOESN'T FIGHT TO LIVE,HE LIVES TO FIGHT;;WAT A MAN,WAT A BEAST,WAT AN INSPIRATION 💯
"Why did you want to make things better for her? Why was it so important to you?" 🤦
Brett walking around like he's cold AF
Khamzat is awesome!
Great personality and an amazing fighter all around.
This guy reminds me of Conor when he first came to the UFC. The confidence he had in himself made him unbeatable even against top guys that people thought he was gonna lose to. Like chad mendes and then Jose Aldo . Excited to see what he brings to the table this fight 🔥🔥 edit: just watched the part where he talks about being inspired by Conor haha can’t deny he inspired a lot of people in and out of the ring
Very down to earth guy.....
That story on his first day at all-stars is crazy l
as real as it gets. Much love from puerto rico my brother.
Mama is important for me ❤️😎He Is still fighting for his Family🙌🏾😌
This is one of the most motivating vids I’ve seen in a long time
Wow that was incredible to see. Coming back to where he came from after his rise to the top.
At the top?
During*. He’s still not at the top, but soon InshAllah
I see khamzat in thumbnail I simply click the video
I'll never graft or understand how hard these guys do. Proper respect x
You know it’s a casual conversation when ‘shrugged shoulders’ Okamoto is walking down a street.
This explains why he is the way he is!
Love this guy god blessed him.
Very humble 😌
That dedication 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
No wonder fighters in ufc have been avoiding him
The camera is super HD it looks like a movie.
Can't wait for this fight on Saturday!! This will answer so many questions! I have Khamzat winning via sub, yep I said it!
@Don Che I have high hopes for Khamzat, I really hope he is the real deal.
I think 1st round KO. Burns was dropped by jabs, and ko’d by lightweights, Khamzat can just ko him.
@@indeedConfirmed That would be awesome, no offence to Burns though lol. Rooting for Khamzat!🤙🏼
Kumshot by full load tko. This guy has the hunger Connor once had EXPECT BIG things from him. Champion within a year. Yep I said it..
@@NicolaMaxwell That would be crazy!! I think he might stand with him but that's the big question with Khamzat because you don't know what he is going to do.
Great interview! Khamzat is a badass!
We love Khamzat
Love how he’s holding up traffic at the start like the king he is
The production quality could be so much better...especially for ESPN. It's shot well enough I guess, but the color is inconsistent, the audio jumps around all over the place and cuts abruptly, there is tons of dead space between interviews, and subtitles wouldn't hurt. For a segment featuring Brett interviewing a rising star in Khamzat, you'd think they'd put some more attention to detail into it.
This should be the top comment
Man I love hearing this guy talk! To be honest, I would much rather them have a translator because while he has learned english super fast, I would much rather hear his story be told in his own words in his own language so we can get more details from him.
May god bless him with all the strength and skills...love from India brother...
It's a pleasure to read your wishes for Hamzat!
Thank you! You are a good man!
Khamzat , He’s going to be the greatest athlete the world is ever seen I’m watching that and I believe that and I see that coming 🤩❤️❤️❤️

When Khamzat says "Im Hungry" there's actually a meaning to it... Its so sad yet inspiring at the same time. I thought he's just excited for himself and hyped up for himself to fight and get the belt soon but no...
Khamzat grew up in war times in Chechnya, Theyre poor and lived a rough life. When they came to Sweden things doesnt change theyre still poor, No papers, he became homeless, He competes at wrestling, defeat champions, and still wont make enough. When he began his Pro MMA Career his hunger starts.
Hungry = Hungry for better life, for himself, for his families and for everyone who used to be like him. He changed my mindset. Now im hungry. Im hungry for better life!
Powerful emotions came flooding back to him in that room.
