thing is boom ascended thanks to bleed's removal, and they are already thinking about making roster changes going into split 3 SEA so it wouldnt make sense for them to keep the same 5 going to tier 1 if they r going to the next challengers changing their roster anyway
I think coming from a traditional sports background when you have multiple established top all star caliber players come together to form a team, you consider that a superteam. If you know ball, you think of the Suns with Durant, Booker, and Beal as a superteam. With Vitality, you think of Less (who’s been in top 5 conversations for the past couple years), Derke (who’s been one of the most constantly good duelists), and Sayf (a very good duelist/flash initiator the last couple years). I understand Frosts perspective as a coach and insider, but you don’t need to have the literal five best players from different teams to have a “superteam”. I think it’s ok to call Vitality a superteam because they have 3 great all star caliber pieces that they’ve collected together. You don’t always need those players to be the most recent champions to call them a superteam, that is very rare in traditional sports. Durant is a champion, but Booker has made one finals and Beal has barely had any playoff success. We have to remember that Less is a champions winner, masters finalist, and Lock/In finalist, Derke is a Lock/In and Masters winner and finalist, Sayf is an EMEA winner. I’m of the opinion that would qualify them as a superteam
If the agent pick/ban is a thing how do u scrim for 7 maps with various diff comps and be good? Obviously this means the quality of games will drop in short term. Is riot willing to sacrifice a split or even an year to implement these changes. Frost is right in saying that if riot implements ban system pro players are required to play diff agents. Just like ppl adapt to playing diff agents when an agent gets nerfed or buffed.

I don't think Babybay is hearing Frost. The way that riot has setup the system is why he says they should have to play with those players. If there's no other way to get into the T1 system besides through Premier then a players dedication to the system shouldn't be invalidated as soon as they reach the top. Otherwise it's ruining the desire for talent to dedicate time to this game when they constantly seeing players get screwed over even when they earned it. Yes the point about maybe they're not a "good person " is valid but from the outside looking in no one will know that. So from the outside perspective it just looks like riot and orgs are pissing on players' hard work and talent by not giving them the shot they promised. Like Babybay said at one point in another spike talk players only got so much time to try and dedicate to and esport and try and make it before life catches up or they have to decide to try and make it in another esport. So adding the factor of riot not caring whether the dedication is rewarded will ruin the scene even more which is the point I believe Frost was trying to make. Unless we go back to and open system then this is a different discussion.

He just needs to do his job as a duelist bit more like an icy this year on G2 because both FNC and G2 dont need their duelist to carry because their support is so good.
