Love Fr0st speaking up this podcast, normally kinda chills, but he is very well spoken. Best valorant podcast, as a viewer this is great keep it up. Also love every guest yall are having, cant wait to see this channel grow!
Respect to Frost man, because he truly sees the game the way he wants to and regardless of the critics has a plan and is moving forward with it, and lowkey if I was in frost’s team I wouldn’t mind being cut from his team because I genuinely know it was a good reason
Leo covered the age limit thing in tier 2 at the Ludwig x tarik event. There are many challenges with 16 year olds playing professionally, because of certain labor laws and travel with a guardian etc. So the only realistic choice left for them is not allow 16 year olds to play at all. Winning ascension is the goal of the ORG, not the players. You can easily get dropped and replaced once you win ascension, we've seen that this year. The episode with soulcas he talked about the uncertainty playing on an "ascended" team competing in VCT, but in reality it's just the uncertainty as a pro player. It doesn't matter if you're on an Ascended team or a VCT team, if you don't perform, you're going to get dropped regardless. Same can be said if you perform well, a lot of those tier 2 players that didn't win ascension are now playing VCT this year. Is it better being on a VCT team? probably yes, but in terms of job security, it's not so much different. So my point is, I think it's fine for a team of 16 year olds winning ascension and not being able to play because ultimately, that's the org's spot and route they they took to get there. When they signed those 16 year olds, they are well aware of the situation, it's not like a rug is pulled once they actually win. If the org think they can win and replace their whole roster after, so be it.
Yea but like Frost was saying it just looks bad when they promote this dream to kids to play and compete but they can get screwed over multiple times without even getting a chance they might have literally earned. And also like Babybay was saying you only got so much time to decide if it's worth grinding a game before either you go to another esport or just move on with life. Nobody wants to grind a dead end scene where even if you make it all the way through ascension someone can tell you it doesn't mean anything and just drop you. At that point why play. You don't get paid great or at all and even when you earned something by winning out it still doesn't matter that's how the Tier 2 scene becomes even more cooked than it already is because even the most competitive people won't even see it as worth it.
this is prob my fav episode, such great topics brought up and discussed to the point where i think even current valorant pros can take away a ton from this
Great episode. Frost's yapping can piss me off sometimes, but he was spitting this episode. Ryan is always a great guest, so well spoken and his insight about china is always welcome.
The two import issue isn't exclusive to just china, the 2023 scarz roster wouldve had to drop 1 of kr1stal/jemkin if they ascended. The issue is just way more prevalent in china because the scene is developing and they have the finances to facilitate these moves.
On NRG, very doubtful FNS is there to coach Ethan into an igl, Ethan gave it up last season because he realized he couldn’t do it so I think it’s best to let him focus on NOT being an igl and just being the great util player that he is
Bro dont fk let primmie igl, he is not a type of guy to talk much, and letting him to focus on his crosshair is way more impactful bro. Pls dont overcook. Love the content tho
He’s not letting him igl. He’s letting him learn from the smartest people on the team. Its all up to primmie if he wants to become an igl in the future. All he has to do now is learn from them
Yeah it has to be Asuna. On that berlin roster the non pros could be nitr0 steel and hiko so honestly all 3 can be safe, and then Ethan won champs so I get him having a pass, and zekken and Asuna played the same roles at that time.
I’m not sure why riot doesn’t consult with creators/pros like yourselves to help with improving their E-Sport. Man. . . Thing sounds so MESSY right now It seems that RIOT is SO AWARE of issues, rule breaking a, unethical concerns etc, yet nothing is done
I mentioned it in another comment but for some reason they lost audio from me late in the recording. We run VDO ninja into vMix and something got fucky. Oh well. Makes for a silly moment I guess. Wasn't worth editing around.
Hah. Still not sure what happened there. We use VDO ninja for the remote call which I feed into vmix. They randomly stopped being able to hear me late in the show hence the awkward moment.
Holy Fr0st went off. Don’t know why this isn’t as big as it should be. But very useful insight and clearly shows how bad some teams are being managed.
Honestly I would love to work under frost just the amount of knowledge and passion he has is rare to find
Redbull T1 vs Talon Final was banger❤❤ thanks for amazing match!!
Getting fired for wanting to pick up Zander and Cryo and then it happens 3 years later is crazy.
Migth be my favorite episode yet, Ryan seemed to have learnt from last time how to properly get his input in and also loved it when Steve chimed in.

I wanna see Frost go on platchat once, that would be one for the ages
He’s been to plat already, might be twice actually…. Over a year ago
Fr0st passion for the game is second to none, makes me want to be a better player/leader

Honestly when I heard why electronic left NaVi actually hurts me thanks for Frost lighting us up.

you dont have the context or the behind the scenes knowledge to have this opinion. Let Fr0st do his job, he has been doing this forever now.
Let’s go
BTW it says under the description "Navi rumors" and "Liquid rumors" for the 2hrs 36mins mark but in the video they weren't talking about those things.
I ended up cutting some news we were outdated on and forgot to remove the stamps. Thanks for the heads up.
59:20 I Remeber being in lockdown and he was like 16 17 holy fuck
I love Asuna but this actuallly sheds a bit of insight into him. I kind get why Frost and him don’t see eye to eye.

Fr0st is such a good person man.
i think most people who piss that frost did not pick up sscary are not even thai imo
I mean his buyout is also expensive af
@@Lines2322he’s a fa rn I think they should consider
im thai yeah i love sscary but im agree with frost choice to not hit panic button
he has no buyout, bleed was terminated from the league so he is a free agent
no one can hear him !
Hah. Still not sure what happened there. We use VDO ninja for the remote call which I feed into vmix. They randomly stopped being able to hear me late in the show hence the awkward moment.
