I know this video is old but kudos to Nissan for keeping the Xterra's attitude and adding a few tech features. I have a 2014 Xterra Pro-4X and it has Navigation, Backup Camera, Sirius XM, Smart Phone app integration, hands free texting, USB ports, Bluetooth, voice command, heated seats, and the Rockford Fosgate sound system is amazing. Mechanically it has 4-wheel drive (obviously), hill start assist, hill decent control, locking differential, traction control, stability control, electronic brake distribution, and all for around 32k. This is a unique car, not for everyone, but I love it! And by the way, the navigation is simple but incredibly smooth and functional, no lag and very responsive.
A car with basically nothing on it that costs as much as a car with a reasonable amount of equipment? A spartan off-roader is fine but they should be priced accordingly and the Xterra wasn’t

He doesn't get it. These vehicles can go anywhere and people keep them over 200,000 miles plus. Why would you want technology that becomes outdated in 3-4 years anyways? Quit giving the "disposable" vehicles a great rating. If you can not figure out what the top storage is for I suggest you loose the suite and take an Xterra camping, cycling, canoeing, to the ski slope, hunting, or try fishing. In your case I suggest you put your purse in the roof storage. What an insult to Nissan. 2010 with 92k miles and she runs perrrrfect. Sure happy it doesn't have one of those outdated GPS's like the rest of the industry. K.I.S.S. your vehicle and keep it longer.
Xterra are great. This particular cloth seating was not as good as the previous or the off road and the pro-4x cloth. Other than that, the X is an awesome vehicle. I have never needed nav b/c of the smart phone..
I kinda like it. Has some similarities to the 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Now the Xterra is about 10" longer than the Jeep but other than that pretty much the same size. Would love to drive one to see for myself how it handles.
To be fair guys this video lists 2010 so that's probably when he was starting out. We are witnessing him trying to grow into the show at this point. In newer videos he has is a little less harsh on the car depending on its purpose. Still he did have a point about the tech and newer xterras have addressed some of his complaints at the time.
Duhhh. When you buy an Xterrs you looking for simple CAPABLE OFF ROAD. Not fluff. If you want fancy candy ass gagety nonsense that "drives itself" buy a Sissy Utility Vehicle. Why do city folk even bother reviewing tough trucks when all they understand is Lexus. Xterra is a TRUCK

Xterra is meant for off road work; it's a perfect car for towing heavy equipment, low pricing for a brand new, and cheap to maintain. I have one in Africa and another in Canada, and transport is covered.
