+Maria Helen You can use honey. I've done that before, but people have been saying you can also use maple syrup, but idk I've never used it
Forget the horse those sound good enough for humans to eat :)
it is all ingredients that humans are OK to eat. I don't see why ppl can't eat them...XD
i love this recipe!
After you make them, how can you store them/ how long do they last?
would these be okay for sheep and cows too? without the peppermint of course
Love them💖

ImagineThatEquine Dariaa!
instead of oats can you use sweet feed
Those look adorable and delicious. Did Rumour gobble them up?
We forgot to bring them to the barn today 😂 hopefully we will remember tomorrow
Could you cook the peppermints with the treats?
Gotta make these for my fat horse tomorrow xDDD!! She will love them!
Can I use Apple cinnamon oatmeal?
Do you have a problem with the mints melting and running?
I think my only problem would be is me wanting to eat them before my horse got the chance. I'll just replace the molasses with sugar:)
What can I use as a substitute for molasses?
+Arshs Equine World Usually honey or maple syrup works
+Gizelle Becker thank you :)
Bestofbollywood Apple Sauce works and adds extra flavour
Can I use liquid honey instead of molasses?
I want to make this for my horse for his birthday, I make this tonight and leave it over night is that going to be okay or should I make this and have him eat it right away

If I was a horse I would want to eat these😄
Emma Albaek I'm not sure about apple carrot and peppermint flavour lol!
300 degrees Fahrenheit or Celsius ?
Can I just mash the carrots and apples or cut them into tiny bits?
Yup!
my daughter's horse doesn't like peppermint. what can I substitute for the top? or should I just leave it like that?
+Alisha McCalister Other candy. You can use anything. Licorice. A piece of apple. Dried appricots. Your horse's favorite treat (especially if it is unhealthy, you can have some healthy stuff with it)
Maybe a banana chip or a carrot penny
What attachment did you use for your mixer?
SmallPetInfo1 just the regular flat beater, you could really use any kind though :)
How long does the treats last cann u make them 5 days before and will they still be good?
Ok thank you do you know what brand they are they are so cute
No they didn't have a brand, we've bought the Russel Stover ones before that come in a green package and Rumour liked those ones better though!

WOW THANKS! Belle loved them! (belle is my horse) :3 She ate all of them! XD
I don't have molasses or honey, what else can I use? Also can I put crushed candy canes on top
Jess Maree I have used maple syrup before and it worked great
Is it basicly poridge oats? :3
can i make this without molasses?
How many treats will this recipe make?
How long do the treats last
Can you just use Apple and no carrot?
Can you substitute the molasses with honey?
I have before. I don't think it really matters. But add in a little less honey than you would molasses. Honey is stickier and I think it's also sweeter.
Ok thank you soooo much 👍🏻🐴😘😂
300 degrees Fahrenheit?
Yeah, it's 170° C
Ok thank you :)
Are the carrots optional because my horse does not like carrots
Yup it will still work without carrots! 😄

Planet Jodie for ever how much you feed your horse.
I put it at 300° and burnt them in 15 mins 😂😂😂😂 i can imagine my horse's reaction now 😩 no treats for today 😂😂😂😂😂
What kind of peppermints are those ?
Marissa Hamric I could be wrong but they just look like normal hard peppermint, however sometimes it's better to use the softer kind because it's easier for the horses to chew.
Instead of molasses can I use honey?
My Mare Maggie you can use Apple sauce for extra flavour I use it and even the fussiest of horses love them
