You guys spend so much time in the washing machine and make it look like nothing! Mad respect! Love the duck diving shots! You were hardly losing anything and that was heavy water! Those waves just would not stand up and hollow out! Thanks for sharing your craft is such a beautiful way!
One of the coolest parts of the nose cam imo is getting to see the duck dive form, especially with how quick Nate gets down to the board when those things are crashing just over top of it!
That duckdive at 1:38 is beyond crazy! Making it look like 2ft anywhere rather than a gnarly North Shore sandbank! so sick ..or is it Rockpiles? It's that secret pocket just in front of the whitewater explosion eight?
For me, a low tier average Joe who prays that there is nobody behind me when a 6 feet soft wave is coming, that s amazing to see how skilled you are..!
Nathan riding those big waves reminds me of a bull rider having fun. JJF riding them same waves looks like he’s bullying the bull while having fun doing it….if that makes sense. Florence bros are all 🔥🤙🏽
This is why I watch, seeing the best in their natural environment. Loved the duck diving and would appreciate more underwater footage, how the reef forces the waves, fins slicing through the wave. Would rather watch that than talking heads inside or on the beach Thanks for the videos , appreciate your commitment Nate, what about putting a camera under the board?
I love this video. I used to be so insistent, like "I'm gonna duck dive this, no matter what!" It got to a limit when I was out at Middle Peak lefts. Big set, peak shifting West (you think North, but it's West, toward Its or Mitchells) catches me right in the zone, snapping an 8' 6" Steve Colletta pintail with a quarter-inch stringer right in my hands, and just punches me down through the deck of my board. The ones that shift West break further out. The same size wave shifting East towards the wharf are the big ones that march way inside before breaking. Anyway that's how you waste a beautiful 8' 6". Colletta boards were insane. I can't surf anymore cause of old injuries so videos are it for me.
Looks like one of those extra special sessions. You really should value time spent with family in these circumstances. These become cherished memories as you get older. Freeze frame @5:45, extraordinary shot. Kudos to the cameraman!
I wish I could duck dive like you. I feel like I get down as deep, but take three steps backwards, and you take one step forward. I need to rewatch your duck dive 101 vids
Seriously. Nathan turns into a submarine every duck dive and somehow moves forward like 10 feet where most people get sucked back a few lol. Ridiculous athleticism.
it's so simple but how amazing and quick it is to identify john john's steez, as a human who's not surfed in 20 years, i'm always blown away by his style. Not to dog on Nathan, i'd love to see him rock his brother.
2:15😂 for anyone that never has... Had to duck dive... That's what it is 🌊 what It is 🥴 The only hope to get out is to keep paddling and paddling and paddling 😅
Well Ehukai and all its other waves (they are mostly pretty close) are right out the front so it's no wonder you can ride them well. It's been a good year too hasn't it.
It did make the score that much better, i dont like surfing dangerous waves on equipment i am unsure of, but forcing it to work and getting a good one was actually awesome! I did enjoy it!
It's funny how Hawaii waves have a different shape and color than anywhere else in the world. They're powerful, hard to duckdive, and the currents are chaotic.
Hey bro!!! I'm coming to Hawaii next month,,& ive yet to surf an ocean wave, Lake Michigan is frozen and I can't surf here, u wana show me a few spots?!?!?! Help me get barreled? I'll put u in my vid 🤪🌊💨lmk!!
Remember the bottom turn photos of Tom Carrol from this spot? I was getting mowed by the same size waves as this, while I watched TC on the Left. That end pinch is a bitch. 🤣❤🤙🏼🏴☠

These raw sessions with you and your brothers are definitely some of my favorite videos you put out
It's truly amazing how much ground you DON'T lose in those duck dives. 😊
If it’s pretty much just Nathan and John in the line up, you know the conditions are just straight up cursed 😂
yup
You guys are in such kick ass shape most have no clue how hard it is to swim in those slabbing sandbar bombs.
That duckdive at 1:38 is beyond crazy! Making it look like 2ft anywhere rather than a gnarly North Shore sandbank! so sick ..or is it Rockpiles? It's that secret pocket just in front of the whitewater explosion eight?
Absolutely love the view and sounds of the ocean
I only want to watch Ivan..period….
Your duck dives defy physics.
They can go wrong exp big swells
Getting sucked over oooooooooo😮
Foot dives only!
It’s all about timing and form.
He comes up faster than I’d expect!
Also that’s what she said
For me, a low tier average Joe who prays that there is nobody behind me when a 6 feet soft wave is coming, that s amazing to see how skilled you are..!
this level of surfin (incl duck divin!) in such big slab is just incredible!
Full depth duck dives this day!
You're gonna have to give us another duck dive tutorial please....we need more tips please
Those duck diving skills are next level!
I love seeing the power of the wave from underneath like the shot you had at 2:10ish.
yes need more underwater action. Nate what about an underboard camera to show what is going on below?
Now thats a nice workout! Should be mandatory watching for newer surfers...great job!
Those water and drone shots were sickkkkk!
Wow gorgeous insanely powerful fast freight train explosions! Thanks for sharing
Wow! This spot can be sketchy when it's slabby! Some bombs out there! Mahalo for sharing, I thoroughly love beautiful blue side-offshore barrels.! ;)
Nathan riding those big waves reminds me of a bull rider having fun. JJF riding them same waves looks like he’s bullying the bull while having fun doing it….if that makes sense. Florence bros are all 🔥🤙🏽
Fun to watch... all alone out there, just the sound of the waves.
The take off at 3:29 looked suspiciously Mullaghmoorish. Thought you were GOOOoooone!
This is why I watch, seeing the best in their natural environment.

Thanks for the videos , appreciate your commitment
Nate, what about putting a camera under the board?
You charge brother!! Love watching your videos🤙🏻🤙🏻
I was laughing today thinking about Nate's story about "mountain biking" with John. Too funny.
Let’s go!!
E Hoʻonui iā ʻAmelika i ka Nui Hou 🤙🏽
It's awesome to see such greatness... And think of Jerry Lopez 😵💫 looking at that lightning bolt ⚡ History may not repeat but it does rhyme❤

Still am in awe of the fitness of you lads!
Real foamy homie🤙thanks for another one .
Watching from Canada with envy. Wish I could surf and was in Hawaii right now.
Hey super congratulations for all the awards and videos I've enjoyed again super mad respect 🙏 Nathan
Much appreciated!
2:10 that is such a cool shot
I wish I could duck dive like you. I feel like I get down as deep, but take three steps backwards, and you take one step forward. I need to rewatch your duck dive 101 vids
Seriously. Nathan turns into a submarine every duck dive and somehow moves forward like 10 feet where most people get sucked back a few lol. Ridiculous athleticism.
You gotta let the boards buoyancy take you forward. It’s less about going deep and more about letting the board propel you forward.
@@davidjackson2179 momentum and using foot to push deep and body to propel forward!
That duck dive sequence was narly . The beard is your floatation.
Gnarly.
That was some excellent garbled gibberish while chewing the energy bar. Never seen you do that before. You’re just a freaking multitalented freak.
Glad you enjoyed it!😂
ONE CLANK lolol. Yeah Boyz 🤙☘️. G⭐🤙☘️
13:50 dude I almost spit my coffee haha
Nate I think you have a different mission to push the craziness, I appreciate that and I think your awesome, and I think pipe is a slab
Nate & slabs goes down better than a morning coffee and spray

Ivan without a doubt the most steezy of the 3
Really really like how you guys put this together team zoarthan❤
Never lose that smile of pure stoke brother without it none of it matters
I love all your videos I’ve been watching you for 3 years I just came to Oahu and I wish I could meet you
Holy shit, I'm so there.....incredible edit.

Second duck dive was masterful 🤙🏼🦘
Vibes! Duckdive footage from the GoPro on the board super useful 🙏Ivan's bomb at 11:07
So sick......keep charging.....stay stoked no matter what
2:15😂 for anyone that never has... Had to duck dive... That's what it is 🌊 what It is 🥴 The only hope to get out is to keep paddling and paddling and paddling 😅
Chopper looks dangerous with that knife.
*_hello 😍💝🌹 have a nice day_*
You guys are sick!!! Aloha from Terceira slab 😎
Well Ehukai and all its other waves (they are mostly pretty close) are right out the front so it's no wonder you can ride them well. It's been a good year too hasn't it.
W0W!
I never became a very good surfer, but I surrre learnt how to duckdive! Hence why I live vicariously through NF's videos 😂
Another level of survival!
Hey Nate you should try wim hof with a whole durry that’s what we usually do to get ready for lunas.
One time I was surfing logs and saw Nathan fletcher catch a rock pile right and pull into the most mutant barrel I’ve ever seen.
⚡🌊🪄🪓 missed. But what a great beat down😂
Legendary 🤙
Ayo Nat you’re a damn savage. I love it.
Haha thanks boss
@@NathanFlorence 🥰🤙🏽
Crazy waves bigs and fats xd 😎🤙🌊💥
During the first 50 seconds you sound exactly like Mumbles aka Ed Bassmaster 😂
So much fun! Where is this wierd little (macking) wonder wave? Some weird North Shore sandbar?
That other guy surfs pretty good too.
Do you enjoy getting somewhere without 'your' boards, and using local boards, or not? Thanks
It did make the score that much better, i dont like surfing dangerous waves on equipment i am unsure of, but forcing it to work and getting a good one was actually awesome! I did enjoy it!
I'm curious with the whole Bet online thing. Does that mean I can bet on how many sets Nate takes on the head? 🤣
Legend
where in scotland is this?
gnarlyyyyyyyy
Zoardies just shy 🤭
Your videos are epic bro your brothers and u fu$!ing charge and rip doing it......much respect from Santa Cruz nor cal
I’m not gonna lie I learn a lot from ur surfing
Stoked on that
This is incredible and just inspires me more and more to keep making POVs, even though I'm an old school surfer
😈😈😈 nice 😈😈😈
👍👍
a nice wholesome vibe at the end…sort of. Zoard just say “i am ur best bro” then Buddy will swipe u w his claws from the gallows 😼
Hips can be replaced. No big deal. Don't know how you duck-dive some of those monsters. A 2 footer sucked me back over this morning.
Hey Nate, can you do a vid of downwind foiling?
100% i will!
Damn i miss surfing. I even miss being ragdolled in a big white water.
Was this actually a slab? Seem like really deep water and not very slabby compared to other vids? Just curious not throwing shade
It's funny how Hawaii waves have a different shape and color than anywhere else in the world. They're powerful, hard to duckdive, and the currents are chaotic.
❤
First Bouya ! Lets go boooys
Captain Slabtastic...
Big northy rockpiles is terrifying
This is next to rocky point?
As usual, very good video. Keep enjoying life!!
JF pretty much carves on a wave like he’s snowboarding.
0:33 yer mother told I not to talk with yer mouth full dude! 😂
Hey bro!!! I'm coming to Hawaii next month,,& ive yet to surf an ocean wave, Lake Michigan is frozen and I can't surf here, u wana show me a few spots?!?!?! Help me get barreled? I'll put u in my vid 🤪🌊💨lmk!!
Is koa still out of the water?
Remember the bottom turn photos of Tom Carrol from this spot? I was getting mowed by the same size waves as this, while I watched TC on the Left. That end pinch is a bitch. 🤣❤🤙🏼🏴☠
Any body else notice the shark getting worked on the paddle out? Second wave of the paddle out, you can see it finning the surface
Who was the madman in the water angle?
Brent Bielmann
Yo Nate do you have to book two plane seats for those nuts or what?
i need content more often
Knowing when to duck dive. Being in deeper water. Waiting.
is John still riding the ghost in conditions like this?
Gnarly
