Hi. Thank you for your question. You may have to get an audio adapter if the auxiliary input is not two female RCA plugs, but yes, it should work fine.
I'm not an Alexa expert, but I would think that Alexa would have a way to stream music built into it. This is more about streaming music from a service like Spotify on your phone to your home stereo.
@@Joeherman bluetooth has delay always of some mili seconds. which is quiet noticeable and may cause echo if paired with 5.1 setup. I ve checked this personally with BT ver 5.0
@@Joeherman I purchased the same unit under a different name. Not only do you hear a very loud audible beep the digital signal is over compressed and dimes out the bass on the speakers and makes them distort horribly. I had to turn the volume down on my iPad and Android phone by 2/3. I then purchased a cable, tripe C usb to RCA. The sound quality was slightly better but I had the same problem with too much compression. Additionally, while both devices get the job done the fidelity was not great. I have no tone controls with the Bluetooth transponder.After much research I have learned that I need a music streamer with DAC capabilities. I have not had a stereo in 30 years and now that I am back in it’s much more complicated. Most of the streamers out there require you take out a home equity loan. The one I ordered set me back $100. I will let you know how it turns out if you are interested.

Yes, but only if they are powered speakers. Otherwise you need an amplifier.

My speakers started to pick up a frequency tone that buzzed. Stopped when I got rid of the Bluetooth receiver so now I’m back to square one
Will this be good for streaming music from my cell phone to my old analog boombox. It has a headphone output and an auxiliary input.

I just purchased this device for my stereo and it sucked. You need a DAC to convert the music. I would not recommend this product.
