We do a lot of detail polishing, so it is all in the way that you actually polish it that protects the engraving. We do this all of the time and always protect engravings on guns. :)
So I get that it's stainless steel but stainless does not mean it can never stain or rust. So are there any preventative measures that I could take to make it not rust or is it just naturally going to be fine. Cuz I don't want to go through with this to get a nice polished stainless steel 1911 just have it rust on me
I have personally polished my guns and they have been polished for years with no issues at all. Just simply keep them wiped off and don't let dirt, etc sit on them for extended periods of time...basically just keep them cleaned off and you will be fine.
