- Welcome to my newest travel vlog from Italy! Parma is known as the cultural capital, but did you know some of the most loved and well-known food products originate from this must-visit Italian city? Check out my Parma travel vlog to find out more! Parma is a perfect spot for conscious travel if you want to follow the anti-tourist route, making the most of your Italian trip while also contributing to the local community by visiting it. Visit the birthplace of Parma ham (Prosciutto di Parma) and Parmesan cheese (Parmigiano Reggiano), the staples of Italian food and learn what else to see in this fantastic place (spoiler alert: a Renaissance theatre, a famous art gallery and an ancient library are included)!

ABOUT:
Hi! I’m Valeria and I’m an expat in Italy. I’ve moved here (almost) on a whim when my plans in Paris got ruined - without speaking the language and totally unprepared, but pretty sure this is gonna be an adventure of a lifetime! Moving to Italy has definitely had its ups and downs, but I love discovering Italian culture, Italian people and, of course, Italian food. Here I post regular travel vlogs, tips on expat life, moving to Italy, personal growth and self-esteem as an expat woman living abroad.
If you enjoyed this video, please don't forget to like and subscribe for more! Also, let's get to know each other: tell me in the comments where in the world are you at the moment!
Thank you for being here and may you have a wonderful day!

Hi there Valeria! This is so exciting to watch! Parma has been my home for 10 years now and counting! I walk these streets everyday but haven’t seen the insides of these stunning libraries, theaters and museums yet! I love how you presented your Parma content, raw and real! Welcome to our city!

We are travelling to Italy for the first time. I’m so excited to visit Parma!

Visiting that area can’t miss a trip to castles: Fontanellato, Torre Chiara and in Piacenza Province, Vigoleno and Castell Arquato
Thank you for these suggestions! Will absolutely come back there ❤️

In fact EFSA headquarter is located in Parma.
Perfect city for that purpose. 😁
I didn't know that, but it definitely makes sense! :D
Adoro i teatri!
Anche io 🥰
Grazie per il tour. Non vedo l’ora di visitarla. Scusi - non mi piace la musica inglese americana con la bellezza di Parma. I like to hear the sounds of the city instead. ❤
Going to visit Parma December 27th
Tnx mam
Yeah my city. Thank you for visiting Parma. I missed the chance. To me, the best is Duomo (don't miss it, the inside is a masterpiece) and Teatro Farnese of course
Parma is a truly incredible city ❤️

Hi there! Parma was my Erasmus city 17 years ago and I haven’t stopped visit its streets and my good friends there since then. I use to travel there often. Congratulations for your sensitive and good documented video, the best about the city I have found till the moment. You’re such a good communicator. Hoping to come back soon after the relax of the pandemic restrictions! You deserve my ‘like’ and my ‘follow’. I’ll have you as a reference for italian cities information. 🙂👍🏻
Hi! This is amazing - I love hearing stories of people who fell in love with Italian cities in various ways, and I know how special Erasmus experience is ❤️ Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot to me! And welcome aboard ❤️

I was supposed to visit in August 2020......planning to come next year. How is it for vegetarians?
A lot of vegan/vegetarian-friendly places have been opening in the recent years, and you can definitely find some vegetarian-friendly options in traditional Italian cuisine that are just as good! Hope you can visit coon ❤️
@@DramaticallyExpatic Hopefully fall 2023! Just finished reading a novel called "Playing for Pizza" which takes place in Parma, and other places in Italy. A fun read.

you seem like a very smart and sweet young lady. do you know where that meat you eat comes from? why dont you type in slaughter house on youtube and see if you still have an appetite for eating poor animals.
In Parma we also eat horse meat and it's delicious 😋
@@bertolaz only demons enjoy hurting other animals and then drink their blood and eat their flesh. not humans only demons would do such a thing. now in the world, it is clear who is a demon and who is an angel. God has a place for sub-humans like you...a nice place that you will surely enjoy!
@@jamie615 for sure! The company would be great there 😍
I think we all have a free choice of what to eat and what not to eat, and respecting each other's opinion is the key. If you're mentioning God, don't you know He explicitly commanded people to eat meat? Genesis 9:3 says "Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. And as I gave you the green plants, I give you everything" See, meat eaters will hardly end up in hell :)
