I decided to celebrate alone when I turned 40, because people always ruin my birthdays by not showing up or behaving badly. So, I went to London for a week. I stayed in a hostel, went to museums every day, went and ate some vegan food, I went running in hyde park every day. I went and had two vegan pizzas alone. Lol. Actually, it was the first time in years I had pizza, and I first had one, then left and went to another pizza restaurant and ordered another! 😂 on my actual birthday someone I didn’t know well but had chatted to alittle, offered me a vegan piece of cake. I happily accepted. She didn’t know it was my birthday. I went for walks and petted dogs. It was better than most birthdays. Im only sad I didn’t include my mother in the celebration. She took it hard.

This is already a very toxic line, like saying that being fat/gay/ugly doesn't have to be a bad thing. Crazy how age (self)shaming is normalized by social media. Age is just a number, simply forget about it and live your life to the fullest.

So true though, i feel confused, like,,,,i still feel young so my dress sense which wasnt sexy anyways, still has stayed the same,,,,but its like we are on the fence between young and old,,,and i just dont know myself anymore, do i start to dress older? or carry on? i dunno, i feel a HUGE change.
