Treadmill Issue // Stops/Slips when I step on // Help Wanted & Need

- Help wanted and need please. I have a stop/slip issue with my treadmill. It runs fine when I turn it on but when I step on it, the speed would slow down and then stopped. The motor noise seems to sound louder when I'm on it. When I get off the belt, it start to run again fast again. I have tried all the maintenance such as tighten up the belt and lubricate the treadmill and it still doesn't work. Could it be a bad motor on it's last life or a bad thermal protector switch or perhaps a warn out motor brush in the motor that need to be replace? Can a warn out motor brush be the issue of the treadmill to stop when I'm on the belt? If any treadmill mechanic out there who may know the issue, please help. Don't want to waste money to get a new treadmill if it can be easily fix. Greatly appreciated and thank you!

Mine was doing the same thing. Get some silicone treadmill lube and put it under the belt. When you stand on your belt your weight stops it. It can't slide without lubricant between the deck and the belt. Makes a huge difference.
what was the issue?
Experiencing exactly the same issue that treadmill stops when I step on it. Goes back to normal run when I get off it. Already replaced the board, speed sensor but the same problem persists. Is it the motor or what? Help appreciated.
I was doing some research and some experts says it could be motor brushes that is warned out and need to replace new brushes. There are two brushes on the motor. Amazon and Ebay should carry them. Try to replace those and see if that is the cause.
@@tkvchannel3871 My 2 brushes are still long and far from worn out. It's really disappointing. The only thing I haven't replaced is the motor. I guess I'm going to that direction since all except the motor have already been replaced.
Unfortunately, I have not found a competent technician who has definitively pinpointed the real problem so I had to replace the parts one by one and it will be the motor this time.
@@justicia.. if replacing all the parts cost half the price of a new one, I would suggest to get a new one. Unf sounds like you have replaced a lot of parts already. My treadmill there, I did check and the motor brushes was worn out and need to be replaced but I didn't replace it and decided to buy a brand new one instead because I didn't want to replace the motor brush and it may not be the cause.
I hope a certified treadmill technician see my video and would input or share what may be the cause.
Did you ever come up with a fix for the problem? Mine started doing this, but just slows down at this point. A motor costs $230. Circuit board $200. A new treadmill is probably my solution at this point.
No, I couldn't find it and had to trash it.
Thanks. I'm going to lube the deck and see what happens. I'm definitely not wasting money on a motor and/or circuit boards. All the research I've done and testing circuits does not indicate an exact fix.
@richardhault3149 definitely not worth a new motor and other parts to get it back working. Just buy a new one, that's what I did.
I have the same problem with my treadmill, but no one has done a video about it.
Yes, sadly nobody has any helpful videos out there for this issue.
You have to change the new board control
Well try that. Thanks!
What part is failing on the control board that would reduce torque? I wondered if this may be a demagnetized PMDC motor. Also, friction with the deck should be ruled out.
@@nitrousman8882 I'm not sure myself.
have you tried tightening the belt, I found a vid on it and once I did it worked like normal. lmk if you want me to find the video.
I did not tight the belt. The belt looked pretty tight. I did some research and they say it could be a bad motor that ready to go out. Maybe I'll try that what you say, thanks for the tips.
Yes please

I COULD USE THAT VIDEO PLEASE
@@rickmercado1093 I linked to it above your comment 👌🏽👍🏼
What did you do to fix that problem
No, I couldn't figure it out so I just gave it away. Most likely it's a weak motor that need to be replaced.
@@tkvchannel3871 the other thing to check is the deck. If this is older and well used, the low friction surface on the deck beneath the belt may be your problem. I lubed mine with teflon and it ran great
@technical person thanks!
@@tkvchannel3871 Was definitely the motor, but was most likely the bearings in the motor. About 50% of motor failure is the bearings.
Not showing repair
satish bandla Satish he wants to know what may be wrong with it. It’s not a repair video.
