Thank you! Glad you liked it. Keep checking out the RC Truck Stop website for the full review which is upcoming. Also keep checking for the action video.
There are a number of things you could do. First, I would suggest going to a LiPo battery. That will lower the CG a good amount and make it less tippy. Next, take any pre-load out of the shocks (twist the shock collars) to further lower the truck and the CG--improving handling. Let me know how that works and we'll keep working on it.
Good job on the video Matt. Honestly did not know the servo was a metal gear though. I have one of these coming to me, should be here next week. Only thing is I bought mine to tear apart for a project.
We do a lot of contests and do, on occasion, giveaway free stuff. We offered a free chassis plate kit to a guy who said he missed the old design. That has led, I guess, to the requests from people half joking around and just hoping to score free RC stuff.--Matt Higgins, RC Truck Stop
This is for the guy asking about articulation; I have put the wraith and the Ridgecrest side by side and can tell you that yes it does have more articulation "flex" then the wraith. About ten to fifteen degrees I'd guess.
It is hard to compare as the Honcho is a scaler and has smaller tires; The Ridgecrest has much larger 2.2 tires. The Ridgecrest has a cool look, but is not a scale model on the same level as the Honcho or other SCX10. The Ridgecrest is also wider. In the end, the Ridgecrest is a better crawler, but both can be set up to perform exceptional well. Both do great right out of the box.--Matt Higgins
Hey does the AX10 have have more articulation than the Wraith?. It look's like the shock's are laid down a little more, so I would think it would but I have yet to see them side by side to give them a flex test. "AWESOME VIDEO B.T.W.!!!" and thank's for the info. ;}
Thanks, MADDOG. Check out the Channel. If you enjoyed this video, you should like the others. Also, please check out the main RC TRuck Stop site. Lots of stuff there you'll like. Thanks again
Not really sure if one has noticeably more flex than the other. never really noticed as I am not a big fan of lots of flex on my RC rock crawlers.--Matt Higgins
Really? Email me at (matt [at] rctruckstop [dot] com) and I'll send you an original AX10 chassis kit (main chassis set) courtesy of Axial. Find some axles and links and you'll be dialed in old school and happy.
My pick is the SCX10. The SCX10 is one of the best RC vehicles I have ever owned.--Matt Higgins, RC Truck Stop
Glad you liked it. Can't wait to see what you have in mind for your project.

Great overview!
Very cool. Let us know how you like it. The Ridgecrest has a ton of potential.--Matt Higgins
Drag brake prevents the truck from undesirably rolling when on an incline. Drag brake provides the control a rock crawler needs.--Matt Higgins
Right now I need memory foams fot mine so I'm running the rc4wd 2.2 hollow points on my wraith and the shear weight of it makes any tire dig in

As for Wraith vs. Ridgecrest, I agree with you, but my preference is based mostly on looks.--Matt Higgins, RC Truck Stop

How about a send you a AX10 chassis kit and you take care of find axles, links, etc?
Contact Axial. In our experience Axial really stands by their products. What shaft broke? A drive shaft or front axle?
