The 'big mullet' was actually a 'milk fish' .... scientific name Chanos chanos... fairly common schooling fish, quite nice to eat raw, but very bony. Excellent vid mate - love the Solomon Islands, great place and people, and fantastic diving.

It's amazing how those target fish dog tooth tuna swim past you just as when you were about to shoot a coral trout. That could have been more minutes or even hours of waiting had you taken that shot on the coral trout lol. Congrats on your first doggie mate!

Fully know about that STOKE! Hunted Giant Cubera Snapper in Costa Rica several years, striking out year after year, and finally connected with one 2 years ago. 72' drop using a flasher to lure it toward me, and rolled it the same as you did the doggie!!! Absolute Epic Shot on that Fish, Congrats!!!
