FYI, nameplates on side of tank comes off with just two screws each, side covers just pull off out of rubber grommets. Bike also has a center stand which only takes a second to put up on & would make it a lot easier to clean bike overall.

Would have been a lot easier all round to pop it up on the centrestand.

Love the video. Just try to stay away from neck or wheel bearings with pressure washer. It can actually screw up the grease and cause the bearing to rust.

After all, a motorcycle ist designed to withstand daily use even in heavy rain. Therefore, no part of it is made of soap. Just think of the millions of small bikes in southeast Asia during the wet season.

I have a black Honda CBX750 from 2001 working fine and I don't think to change or sale it. Amaizing motorbike! Really enjoy a lot to ride it. The feeling of freedom is more intense and with more adrenalin and style. The smooth sound from the exhauster is superb. Just send it a few days to a workshop to do some manutention but till now they do not return or say anything about it. Suspecting that they are doing more than I am thinking. Maybe a surprise. Maybe a restauration surprise. I am very positive. Whatever the price, I will pay if they do that.

I have a 2004 Harley Davidson Softail that I had to special order back in 2003. That bike never leaves the garage dirty. Whenever I come back home it goes right back onto the left so that way no one can bump into it or touch it without reaching over to do so. Only time my bike is ever dirty is during bike weeks. Even then most of the condos that we stay in have a hose and bucket outside as a courtesy.
I enjoyed watching you detail the bike. I would enjoy seeing more of that. I know there is a call for bike detailing. At almost any like event that's large there's always at least one detailer set up somewhere. Sometimes they have four or five bikes sitting on the side waiting to get done. At my first bike of rent that's when I learned about 0000 steel wool. The detailer gave me a tip on using that on my spokes of my Harley and it works out perfectly.
You did a great job on this bike Hope to see more on your channel.

    Hi -
I restored my CB-750 1979 Limited Edition which I bought in 79 and had shelved for over 30 years. I just restored her as of last week except for replacing the tires which will happen before Spring.
Part of my restoration included Carb rebuild, Front Caliber rebuild, ignition stuff and chain cleaning and lubing. note: to avoid scorching the cylinders upon initial cranking, I used WD40 in the spark plug holes first!. It was nice to hear her startup -
Cosmetically she is also okay except for some paint nicks on the tank.
Question: Do you know where I can find these specific paints for touch up ??
In the meantime she patiently awaits for a Covid19 Free Spring Summer, where I will register her again for the road -
( it was in 1988 I moth balled her until my kid grew up. Then I had to await for the right time to restore her which was during the shelter in place - - and she is now restored - )
She is not for sale -

Harley owner here - 2014 Sportster Superlow and a 2007 Nightster 1200. The end result of your detail was fantastic. I would not ever recommend any kind of a high pressure wash on a bike. The fuse boxes are not water tight and any resulting water will cause some serious malfunctions. I chased a gremlin for years on my ‘07 due to water intrusion in the fuse box. You are better off using the 2 bucket method and not use a foam canon. The nano polisher would be a godsend for a bike. Need to look into one of those. I’d like to see more details of motorcycles. Thanks!

Just found this, this is a Classic and iconic motorcycle. What a shame to find it in that condition and sitting there doing nothing, it makes me sad. At least it has had some TLC, I just hope the owner goes on to do it justice. Would like to see you do more bikes you will need additional gear (stands etc). Be careful with where you point the spray gun bearings do like it. Great job with what you had to work with

    Well done
    Just two things:
    1) engine: it's a tricky part to clean but I'm sure that it would have been possible to remove some more and bring back some shine here.
    2) rear shocks: a hassle to clean and sometimes not even really possible without taking the whole shock apart but I would try to polish it a bit. Sometimes this works quite well

Of course motorbikes do get exposed to rain so water itself is not a huge concern. It’s a concern that you were using a straight seam of pressurized water. The pressure can force it into bad places like gauge Bessel and all. Use a gentler wash in areas like this because in cars everything is in a sealed environment so you may cause cosmetic but no mechanical or electric damage but with an open vehicle especially one that has a motor things start to get a bit different.

Nice job, I love types of bikes as you can see: Triumph Trophy SE, Triumph TRW ( ex-Canadian Army 1964), Triumph Bonneville ( ex-British Army Display Team 1966) Triumph Bonneville1964 Custom Chopper, Greeves Scottish Trials 1961 (Owned by Sam Miller) 2x Armstrong MT-500 (ex-British Army Parachute Regiment) Triumph Bonneville T100 (2010) and a BSA Bantam D1, I'm not showing off it just shows how much I like my bikes, yes there all British but I've tried loads of different makes and models (BMW, Kawasaki, Honda) to name but few but always went back a British bike for comfort, and my style of riding. Hope you like my list of steel horses in the stables. Get videos keep them coming.

Nice result but... I clean and detail my own cars and motorcycles. And use totally different methods. That much water on a motorcycle means that you have to blow it dry extensively. A motorcycle has many nooks and crannies and it is not good to have them wet or even damp. Which is true for cars as well, yet they are a little easier to dry off. Non water cleaning products are in my view best for a motorbike. Good old petrol or a similar products works very well for the engine (and a lot of other parts). Also taking parts off before cleaning is quite sensible to do on a motorbike (and easy when compared to a car).
