- The Nikon D50 can be described as a lighter version of the Nikon D70. Some features have been removed from the D70 but overall it is quite similar. The grip and form factor make it quite similar. In this video I take the D50 for some photographic tests to see have it holds up today.

Have bought two D50s in 2022 with together four lenses. Like it very much and 6MP are god enough for me in most cases. Have also a Nikon D3000 10MP. This was my first DSLR and it works also very well.

Most brilliant camera! Mine has got a 16-85mm lens and this combination works really well!

I have a 2000s tamron f mount lens so I got a d50 recently. I used a f100 previously
What sd card are you using because all of the ones I have bought says that it’s not compatible?
It needs to be 2gb or lower, I don't remember the brands, the ones I'm using are from old cameras I found in thrift stores.
Can any one tell me how to setup back button focus on this camera. Thanks
In the menu go to custom settings -> AE-L/AF-L -> select AF-ON from the menu

Hey I just bought a D50. I cant get my SD card to work. Do you hava any ideas why it does not work? I get the CHA Error.
What capacity and type of sd-card is it?
The maximum capacity is 2gb so that might be the problem
@@mikaelrphoto oh yea that might be the problem. I only have 16gb or 32gb sd cards. Where do I get 2gb sd cards now days ?

Digicams from flea markets is a good source, or was at least, they tend to disappear quickly these days. Otherwise any second hand online site.
