What I like about your channel: no music, no jingles, no sound effects, no CGI. Thanks for all the great content!
Also, the big and slow airplanes look like a lot of fun.
Awesome, thank you! Hilarious side note, Megan and I are JUST NOW editing some music into a highlight reel of our time with the guys from Alabama ;) Forgive us in advance!!!
BUTT no CGI ;) LOL LOL LOL
Can you please make a video of your entire collection?? Like park them all out on your runways like a big RC air show!!!!! I’d love to see them all together. You’re the reason I got back into RC flying! I would love to fly with you!!!
There isn't enough time in a week to do that ;) We have done "Dungeon Tours" but haven't for a while - you can check them out, in the NON-Plane Playlist, if you're curious, but just remember, we've done probably 40-50 more planes since that was filmed.
I live near Joint Base Andrews and saw a slightly larger version of this plane flying over the highway a couple hours ago. No Johnny's jumping out, or loops or flat-spins, which wasn't disappointing. But, it was pretty awesome.
Almost as awesome as this video- oh yeah! 👍
"Almost" ;) You're too kind!
What a beautiful flight Brian and Camera Crew. I absolutely love the EC-1500!
She is GREAT to fly, and just GOES!
I can’t help but hear Jim carry in lary the cable guy. I love this plane!
That thing flies forever! Looks great!
Sure does, with twin 3200mAh 4S's it does seem to go for-ever!
Love your content. Shout out to camera crew. Brian, would like to see you do a second thought's on the NX10. Don't know about you, but Im loving mine. Flew DX9 for 5 years and the NX is so much better.
Thanks! We use the NX10 for virtually every video, so not sure how to do a "Second Thoughts" on it...
We'd be happy to hear your ideas, but for now, we'll just keep using it for planes and helis.
Middle Finger Dittos! I'm a sailplane guy. When I get notification of a new video from you, I'm always bummed it's not an RC sailplane.
Regardless...I think this is the coolest non sailplane yet! It just looks docile and smooth the way I like like my sailplanes. This plane will make a buyer out of me. Here's why: USING YOUR LINK to this plane I copied this: " Remove the magnetically secured nose cone to install a GoPro® or similar camera for recording aerial HD footage or mount a separate FPV camera on the large top hatch (cameras/gear sold separately)."
Horizon Hobby has left me high and dry. My DX-8 went gunny sack a month back and within the warranty period and I've been grounded since. I've since bought a RadioMaster and I'm going FPV with EdgeRX and ELRS for long range. I really don't like the prop shots in FPV videos so this plane could satisfy my FPV and I can leave my Fox 3000 and my ASW-28 virgin.
I've bought five planes via you links this year. How am I gonna know about new planes unless I come to UA-cam????
BUT BRIAN!!!!!! I've watched 3 times and you didn't drop anything out of the plane?????? I can't see flying this plane without without dropping stuff out!!! What's up with that?
Thanks, and sorry to hear the DX8 is now dead ;(
As for the dropping something out of the plane...I thought we did - once here and once more in another clip (I thought???)
Anyway, thank you sincerely for buying from the links, and fellow fingers up ;)
Ah you fly the ASW 28?
I've seen many sailplane reviews and ever since Brian showcased the 28 from Tower Hobbies I've been hooked on that one.
I'm still flying trainers but eventually I wanna make that my first sailplane.
How do you like it? And do you think it handles well enough for a first timer?
Got to mention I do plan to practice quite a while with other larger models before I upgrade to that bird, so with that in mind I'm hoping I can fly it well enough to keep it in one piece.
What it can do seems great for the price point.
Oh and that sound! Man that's one of my favorite things about it when it flies by. That and the clear cockpit which looks amazing.
That para drop tho!!!! ❤
;)
I like watching your Chanelle. You got it maid fly outside your door. When I fly I have to drive miles only to find people playing soccer it's kind of frustrating .
Yeah, we used to fly at two parks that were like that, and it was SUPER ANNOYING!!!! so we spend a life savings on some property in Class G airspace, and will spend another life savings making it a small airport ;) Can't wait!!!! hope you'll stick around and see the transformation!
The dust blowing off the carrier at 25:54 looks awesome. I need to buy another one mines in pieces. Show full aileron setup.
100%
That thing look so much better in this color..
The orange doesn't look bad.
But this is better
It looks more finished, but I loved the nemo ;) LOL
Good pilot
I clicked all the links Brian. I don’t know if that helps, but I have 127 windows open lol
LOL - thanks!!!!!!
God bless both of you
What a beautiful flying plane.. 👍🏻😎🇺🇸
another great one, keep up the good work, lol, still waiting on ppg stuff,Rick from Delaware
LOL - We have some footage, it's just not very good :(.... I need to fly, but still working like crazy, and seems every time I get up the nerve to do it, there's 14 other things beating down the door.
I can say soon, but not 100% sure the footage we already have it good enough.... I'll talk to Megan.
In December I bought my old plane back(1946 Champ 7ac)after selling it 20 yrs ago and now back to flying. Not bad for 73yrs young, lol.Keep up the great work, give Megan a hug for me@@BrianPhillipsRC
There .
I clicked on half a dozen links just to piss em off.
Just for you B. lol 😂
Like I've said, they want ALL the money.
You put out a channel .
To support your channel you receive revenue from UA-cam and links... UA-cam cut your revenue, sold out to any and all advertising.... And now want you to cut your links thereby cutting your own throat.
.... You know that kid in school that would rather spit on food he doesn't want and throw it away, instead of sharing with someone hungry.... Yeah... They're one of them.
Unfortunately there seems to be a lot of THEM these days
FJB!
AWESOMENESS!!!!! Thanks ;)
HUUGE fjb ;)
You would think that plane would bite on those tight turns with a decently high wing loading!
What would be the flight time on a 3S, 5,000mah hard case lipo. It's from a monster truck and its the only one I have that would be big enough for this plane. I was thinking of getting another battery too. Is a larger 3s or slightly smaller 4s battery better? I like to do basic 3D but my main goal is the longest flight times and ability to power through heavy wind or out of stalls (since I like to fly slow a lot).
nothing wrong with a hard case, just gonna make it heavier.
3S and 4S are light-years apart in performance. Not even a comparison.
Weight is the issue. Heavier means heavier flying, less efficiency, but still NET longer flights. Lighter packs means the plane is more efficient flying, and possibly a TINY bit more aerobatic...but at the end of the day, if you fly a single 3200mAh 4S, you'll expect to get about 55-60% of the flight time of a DUAL 3200mAh 4S in parallel. This is just a guess, but educated. A 5000mAh 4S would be similar in performance to a single 3200mAh 4S Soft pack, I suspect...maybe 1-2 minutes longer flight time. Just make sure it's not like 10C or some such thing...SOME ground packs are lower C ratings, but must are at least 30C or better, like the air packs.
Get a battery. Fly the plane. Know how long it flies based on your style. This is how you KNOW. Any "influencer" will be able to show a situation, like we did/do, but it's more about YOU than the plane. Asking exact flight times is a bit of a misnomer, since it's so situation dependent. Hope this helps, but plan on a long flight time, if you push your packs like I do, knowing that this will make for a shorter life of your flight packs, FYI. Fly them down to 3.3 VDC at the lowest, and you'll be in pretty good shape, but that's a "razors edge" type of voltage, fyi...you can dip down a bit below during heavy loading, and cause an ESC to go into LVC.
oh yeah, don't worry about the weight difference between 3S and 4S - just compare 4S to 4S and 3S to 3S - they're just not comparable with regard to flight times, in my opinion. They'll both produce similar results, and thinking of the mAh (capacity) per cell, you could just add them together for a comparison if you wish, but that's going to be so far off by the time you test it in real life...
4S 4000mAh = 16,000mAh - Let's say this yielded a 16 minute flight (for easy figuring, but probably less in reality)
3S 4000mAh = 12,000mAh - The assumption would be that you could get 12 minutes of flight time with this choice...
...this example is a BAD way to calculate your times. When you fly 4S it's going to give you more HEAD ROOM to get out of tough spots, and off the ground quicker, while 3S is going to get you around just fine, but much less aerobatically...but the STYLE of flight is going to be basically unavailable, so your flight times may say about the same - MAKE SENSE??
I may have to pick one of those up. Everyone seems to really love it.
Man I wish Eflite would drop a c17 or a c5, it could run on 8s and the battery/s tray could load in through the rear or the front via cargo hatch (just like the real galaxy 😊)
That would be super cool!
NICE... #GoTESLA 🤣🤣😁😎
Great work girl and guy
Amazing "reverse"!Maybe my WPL E1 can drive over the ramp inside ha ha!
Brian does not miss!!! Sir, where do u place single 3200… near the starting servo? Thanks..
I thought we showed it??????????
Hi Brian I have been following your videos for a while now and you inspired me to buy an eflite conscendo evolution. Only problem is that the connecting the wings to the fuselage, the two servo leads for mine are both male connectors, not female like yours in your video from3 years ago . The two leads coming out of the wings are male as well. What do I need to do to connect these?
I'm not a biologist - LOL ;) Sorry, couldn't resist...but seriously...I can only say...
1) Somebody screwed up
OR
2) Are you sure there's NOT a "Y" cable that's supposed to be in there?????
you can use / make a fm to fm adapter, but are you 100% sure you're on the right channels???
This is way off topic guys but do you remember Horizon's little Cessna Citation Longitude?
It was that umx private jet they were selling not too long ago.
I've had my eye on that one but I noticed it's discontinued. Major bummer, beautiful fast little plane.
I just wanna know why horizon discontinues some of their products like that?
Was it because it wasn't selling enough? Did their license to reproduce that model expire and they just didn't think it was worth the investment to reinstate it?
What gives?
Hoping you can shed some light because I would LOVE to get my hands on this EC-1500 but I'm no where near the funds I need for an NX-10 or the plane itself. (Not to mention I'm still a beginner)
I'd just hate to see this model and other beautiful planes suddenly fall off the market.
Thanks.
Bonjour savez vous quelle est la vitesse maximale de cette avion sinon j adore vos vidéos de puis la France
i just got an ec-1500 and i am having problems programming my NX8. i would pay for your help. it’s infuriating. i’m so close.
Have you watched the "UNBOX, BUILD, RADIO SETUP" which is a different video where we setup the plane. It's in the playlist for the EC1500. This is just a flight demo - hope that video will get you where you need to be!
Have you gotten a SkyID module yet? On a side note it looks like your grass runway has grubs.
We haven't gotten it yet, but seems like FAA might be backing on on their timing???
I saw Big Foot by the hay bales lol.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
Unfortunately on one of my first flights I dropped the wing. Easy enough fix, busted off the right nacelle. Fortunately I didn't damage the prop. Especially when you consider how hard it is to find the blades. 😅
Sorry to hear that! Glad you've back up and running (are you???)
@BrianPhillipsRC good as new. 😎👍
Have you ever hit Megan with a RC Model?
Once, barely. And to Brian's defense, he told me to move, but I thought I could get the shot, so I didn't. It was just a small balsa plane that his grandpa had built. Brian is actually very careful when we fly and always aware of where I am. I've flown with/filmed Brian for a long time and have a healthy respect of planes.
Megan is incorrect, it was TWICE....both times she didn't get out of the way ;) She's just too dang dedicated - LOL - and both times it was pretty mild...just a bad bounce on landings.
I hope eflite comes out with a T-38 or F-5 someday.
That would be very nice!!!!
Great cover as usual, but that visor has to go man!! 😂
What's wrong with my dorky visor!?!??!?!?!?!? I need some place to stick my glasses ;)
@@BrianPhillipsRC historically I’ve always given you a hard time about it and have to keep up! Lol
I enjoy your character and informational videos. Thanks a ton 🫡
You're welcome! Actually, if you hate the visor, you want to send me another visor :) LOL LOL LOL I totally asked SPEKTRUM for a visor, and they were like...ummmm no - LOL
I guess only golfers can get away with it.
What airplanes would you recommend for a second plane?
This is a very tough question to answer. What plane are you flying. Are you proficient, or barely getting by. What type of site are you flying from. Are you wanting prop or EDF, twin? - these are the types of questions YOU will have to answer before I can give you good advice.
The plane is like a bixler. Detram brand i think. I’m flying from my back yard ( acreage) doing belly landing. I like the prop planes. I’m not the best by no means but I can fly it decent.
@@BrianPhillipsRC I’m flying a detrum. It’s like a bixler. I’m not using the landing gear just belly landings at my acreage. I’m better than just getting by but need more practice. I like the prop planes. Probably not a twin just yet
Brian, I followed your set up minus the thrust reverse. When I first turned it on, both props pushed air towards the nose and plane went backward.
I have never run into this problem, any ideas?
Thank you btw, the fix for the UMX Voodoo worked perfectly. All the videos you provide help me out tremendously since coming back to flying after a 10 year break.
Sounds an awful lot like thrust reverse. You sure you've got the ESCs plugged in correctly? Do any tinkering with FWD programming?
@@AL-RCjunkie Thank you, I’ll look at the factory connections
A prop that makes noise uses more energy than a prop that makes no noise.
yes, generally prop noise is the noise of wasted energy, usually present from additional DRAG ;)
BUG ATTACK 😊
yeah!
Duel 4s 4000mAh...?
Flight times?
If you did, it would be a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG flight ;)
@BrianPhillipsRC i run a 3s 2200mAh in my ultrix 600mm on fpv.. love long flights
🙃
Lame is spending a c note plus inna bar to impress people you don't know.
LOL ;)
Too bad you attract bugs.
