That's when I came across this movie, which gives an idea that the writers of the 60s and 70s also had very good thoughts about improving an education system.
Very beautiful subject and direction! It's an immortal movie with best and natural acting of Jitendra , Jaya Bhaduri, Pran, sanjivkumar . Jitendra is the backbone of this movie. He enchants the whole atmosphere in the movie with his natural performance and wins our hearts as he wins the hearts of the children in the movie . Jaya Bhaduri proves that beauty lies in simplisity. They both are my favourite actors.

One of best movies in Indian cinema & one of my all time favorites too. Pran sir, Sanjeev Kumar sir, Jeetendra, Jaya Bhaduri, Gulzar Sir, R D Burman sir, Lata ji , Bhupinder Singh, Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle all created a masterpiece.

One of the "Classic" from Gulzar....A masterpiece. Cinema can never be the same again... the art they used to offer and portray in those times was so profound and real. It was the kind of cinema which didnt require vfx to move you...but you just flow with the art and the artists. ❤❤❤❤

This movie has some epic performances. What heart touching acting and direction. Right from the old man where Ravi first goes to appear for an interview, that was such an epic scene too. The legend Pran Saab, Sanjeev Kumar may their soul rest in peace, their acting skills where out of this world. What great acting and movie! Epic! This was golden era of Bollywood. And the songs of this movie are all time classics. Really a wholesome family entertainer. ❤
