Welcome to the Letterman UA-cam Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era. - Розваги
Walter, I saw "Cats" for the first time ever about 5 months ago. I also had assumed that "Midnight and the kitties are sleeping.." were real lyrics until that moment.
Bravo.
That "...we didn't put in a patio or anything" line has been stuck with me since that episode aired.
Grodin and Letterman. The Carson and Rickles of my generation.
He would probably never do it but it would be great to see Dave do one of these of his favorite moments.
It would just be a clip of that monkey sneezing.
I'd love it if he introduced himself as though he were one of the behind-the-scenes employees like we'd never heard of him 😅
@@brycemcneil4404 As his Uncle Larry.
He's on this channel all the time. I'm pretty sure he might have done that already.
Here's the Dave one in this playlist.

Fun Fact: Walter actually began his association with Dave as an unpaid intern on Late Night. After working at Late Show for ten years, the show finally decided to start paying him. (Some of this isn’t true.)
I first met Walter at the Hello Deli in the mid-‘90s. I recognized the face but didn’t know the name. “Kevin Nagle,” he replied. And I bought it. So add that to his list of aliases.
As to someone requesting me for a Favorite Moments spot: As amazing as Walter’s editing skills are, even he wouldn’t be able to salvage anything useable. He realized that after attempting a “Donzumentary” in 1999, and not much has changed since.
Bahahaha! I never knew my connection to that. Hilarious.
Mike McIntee used to reference you all the time in the Wahoo Gazette. I just assumed for the longest time you were a paid staff member.
Quibi has shown interest in the Donzumentary so…fingers crossed!
@@Letterman Well, if it’s for Quibi, I’m there.
I disagree. I’d genuinely love to see you talk about your favorite Letterman bits, whether they’d be unique or not. No one has a relationship to the show quite like you do.
Walter Kim did a lot of great things for David Letterman, and he should be applauded for his hard work.
I'm going to start using "Is that your tux?" as conversational icebreakers whether somebody's wearing one or not. Thanks, Eddie! 🤘
not cool.
90% of the people rent a tux.
Dave was being an ass against a wealthy person. Don't do that to a regular dude.
a great montage of clips, Walter --- and Julie's "joke" was totally the best of the grand "finale" - it was her delivery
The guy going under the marquee. Legend
I'll never get tired of these videos... Thanks for sharing them with us! :)
I am envious of you, Walter, looks like it was a memorable career. Well done.
The control room button skit was excellent
This one is SO OVER DUE! More Walter Kim!
I’m glad Letterman has employed his longtime staffers for this enterprise. It speaks really highly of Dave people have worked for him for decades.
Great job, Mr. Quan.
This is a tremendous compilation of stories and videos! So funny.
And seeing that last montage of the bits they used to do on 53rd Street is such a reminder of the electricity that the show used to bring to NYC. Irreplaceable.
Please please post that full vince mcmahon sketch!!
Request.
All of that Vince McMahon stuff.
Great memories. I agree that the baby anniversary was one of the best shows ever! I loved Bob Costas' commentary!
That was an awesome montage at the end.
Are you kidding me? I sometimes catch myself singing "Midnight, and the kitties are sleeping" to myself. That story just made my day/year/decade.
Best. One. YET. Great job, Walter and Letterman team!
we need a don giller favorite moments next
yes. he has a unique perspective on documenting the history of dave's show. great idea!
This was a good one.
" i got to operate the angry badger" brilliant ^.^
SOOO GOOD!
Thank you for this!
This is great!
That was great, thanks Walter. The montage at the end was amazing.
These are fantastic, keep 'em coming!
I don't know Walter Kim, but he mentions SO MANY of my favorite things about Late Night. Walter, if you see this, we should hang out! No? Okay, cool.
This is some of the best of the Letterman show. OMG, I couldn't stop laughing during this! The clarification of the inside jokes with Walter really made it funnier! 😂
We’ll done and thank you for this Walter!🤓
One of the best staff favorites yet!
Very entertaining moments and a great montage in the end. Thanks Mr. Kim Walter.
So glad I watched this. When the last episode originally aired and I saw Jerry's reaction to Julia's joke, I thought it was 100% genuine. It's even funnier to know that he was standing there while it was created.
I also loved the way you delivered your line as a question... "I'm actually an assistant to the equipment manager of the Oakland A's??" Then Dave answered your question.
This is the first Staff Faves I've seen. I'll be watching more. We all see the star on the screen, but it's the folks like you who really get shows on the air. My family grew up in Los Angeles and I have a brother who worked in Culver City as a grip at what was once portrayed as the fictional "Paramutual Studios". Outside the industry, I wonder how many people understand how hard the crew, staff, production, craft, and everyone else works to make the viewer suspend belief and feel some emotions.
Loved the montage... great moments there! I couldn't get the Team America song out of my head though. :)
Dave was brilliant and so was his staff. What a show. Irreplaceable.
Irreplaceable. Won't see anything like that again in my lifetime.
Great memories! I've watched that montage of all the outdoor bits so many times! Great job, Walter!
The "Eddy Lee Quan" sketch is hilarious.
Thank you Mr. Walter Kim.
SFM is the best recurring bit on this show. OK ... Maybe second after The Barbara Gaines Show.
Awesome job, Eddie, er...Peter, er......Walter!
Some really great stuff in there.
I love it when pre-Letterman employment memories are included to see what hooked them.
Any chance you folks could post the Bob Costas/Vince McMahon hospital segments? I’m DYING to see Vince talking to Dave.
Finally. The mad scientist architect of Worldwide Pants reveals himself! Fun Fact: Walter and Dave routinely exchange eye glasses.
you're a humor trip Walter thank you ❤
Great to see how much you loved being part of the show, Eddie. Kevin?
Thank you. Dave and his staff are brillant!
Staff favourites rock. This is so good, Walter, thanks!
Great memories, Walter!!! Thanks for sharing!
WALLY! LOVE YOUR MEMORIES! FINALLY WE GET YOURS! NOW...WHO IS WORKING THE CAMERA AND PRODUCING THIS? XOXO
That was the best one yet.
This is GOLD!
Today, Wednesday, the Wednesday before Memorial Day weekend 8 years a ago was Dave’s last show. It suck’s. I never missed a show, we’ll very rarely, the matter what was going on Dave always managed to make it on my tv.
I love these Staff Remembrances....So nice!
Loved every bit of this....thank YOU!
That was a great one. 👍👍
Pretty amazing, all those things Walter Kim had done during the run of the show.
But, then again, he also said he was equipment manager for the A's...
We need a video of all of the outside acts…
Totally forgot about Meg across the street! Loved that bit
Fan request
Funny moments backstage/ behind the scenes. Im sure there are antics!
These are great
WoW always wondered who ran under that marquee.
While the Tux thing with Vince McMahon was awesome, the best part was Bob Costas' closing from his hospital "The party is continuing apace... most of the staff is on hand here... meanwhile the plaintiff cries of desperately ill men and women go unheeded..."
Cool people AND ME just love this show 😃
Would love to see some Small Town News clips!!
I could’ve done this stuff. I’ve wasted my life.
That dude touching the hot dog 😂🤢
I remember once hearing Tom Hanks say "Above the chin saves ten" which I always repeat as "Above the chin saves tin" because it's a better rhyme.
---------------------------- greetings Walter .....if you were to flip Pontiac driver the bird by extending middle finger .....would this constitute -------- as 'digital producer' ..... just wondering , thanks4sharing
hi
Sup.
Can y’all post the pre show video about “laughing now, thinking later”? I think Alec Baldwin was in it.
Showed a Gerry Mulligan clip: redeemed!
Miss Dave every night at 11:30
Ironically that’s Johnny 😊
the thumbnail really threw me off..... julia louis-dreyfus but the video is not only not about her but not even mostly on her? How about putting a pic of Walter Kim, geez...
"Above the ears, ten pounds ten years" - what on earth does that mean or reference?
I was wondering the same thing.. Maybe a more flattering angle of the person in frame?
Yes, that's right. They look ten pounds lighter and ten years younger.
Long live Eddie Lee Quan!
🤳#🇺🇲🗽 THANKS DAVEWOOD 👏👏👏👏🙏
good lordy, I miss Dave ....
Is that Rick Nielsen at 0:09?
With the black suit jacket?
he looks iike Rupert ^.^
Yeah, he does have a Rupert vibe going on.
Ninth!
When I grow up I want to be Walter Kim, but I don't want to perpetuate the techie stereotype from the Far East or San Francisco.
So, Rage Against the Machine licenses their music, AGAIN.
Undercuts their Commie/revolution/antifa stance?
Tom Morello has one desire: be famous.
