Willis please read. Something fun they used to do at alot of the cabin rentals in the Blue Ridge Mountains is you need to put a journal & pen on the counter with a note letting who is staying in there to feel free to write about their adventures then leave it on counter when they go so the next person who comes along can add to the journal. I can only imagine the lil nuggets that might be written in it & oh how fun it used to be to read about other people who staid in the cabins before me.
Instead of screens replace the screens with plexiglass--we did that to our camper and love it cause you can leave the big door open with the “screen” door closed with the air on and still able to see out like a glass door but much safer with the plexiglass and it won’t tear from accidents that will happen when people rent it out. I’ve been wanting to come to FL to all the springs but not wanting to pull our camper all the way from SC just yet! So Hopefully I will be one of your renters in the future!!!
That is a really nice wagon, very smart, the trouble with renting out is wear ,you can only rent out for a short time before you are spending money repairing and replacing things, mattresses, seating, flooring, plus of course you cannot keep everybody happy all of the time.,
a few other ideas of what u might need as well: broom and dustpan mop trashcan and trash bags ice cube trays can opener (didn't see one so not sure if u grabbed that too lol) kids games Uno of course lol cause everyone loves Uno dish soap bottle opener wine opener pasta strainer cutting board coffee filters a handheld dirt devil or something also if camp ground doesn't have them maybe a little hibachi grill a few ideas (I do have a travel and tourism degree) maybe do up a binder of a welcome pack with stuff like ur rules (just so the guests have them close by as some people may forget or may skim over the initial list of rules) and fees, directions on how to run electronics and appliances in the camper, warnings of local critters to watch out for during ur guests stay (like here we have centipedes that sting and sharks) local menus (as well as places that you recommend personally), things to do, contact information, local activities, history of area and campground, introduction of you and Julia, a welcome note, maybe a little welcome gift such as a snack that's local or a florida keychain or florida magnet something small. The binder can be reused with every guest (i would put a note in it saying something to the effect of please do not remove. you can laminate the pages that way they can be easily wipes down after each guest. I would also add a customer feedback/suggestion card for each guest. You could even make up a little guestbook where if they choose to sign it and leave a little note for future guests those are always fun to read as a guest. Also I am not sure of Florida laws but something to look into is check ur local laws about service animals. I know here even with a no pet policy if an animal is a service animal they must be allowed (however it is legal here for a pet deposit) also check on ur local laws for proving said animal is a service animal each state is different. Also for items that can be used for camper check Temu as well. I have gotten a LOT of great items from them and for very cheap prices (cheaper than amazon for same exact things in a lot of cases) If you have never tried them I do have a code if you want it that saves you 30% off ur order plus 100.00 in coupons as well. Just let me know I will give it to you. Even if you dont want to use mine I would suggest using someones if you have never tried temu before as every penny saved is helpful. Thats what i can think of off hand if i think of anything else i will come back in and reply to this comment. i get tons of ideas that run thru my little already crowded brain lol. These are just some of the ideas i had off the bat (in one of my last classes prior to graduating 3 yrs ago we had to design our own air bb and i did get an A on that assignment) I also added in my binder some local hawaiian words and sayings like Mahalo (mah ha low) means ty, As well as tips on how to pronounce vowels here (they are different than reg vowels) to try and make it easier for visitors. Sorry for the novel I just love sharing my ideas when it comes to stuff like this cause its in my wheelhouse (that and event planning which is what I want to do with my degree eventually) lol!
@@WhatchaDoingWillis Ty ik I have ideas I'm 4getting to throw out there lol. I take pride in my degree (proof ur never to old to get 1) I sent u an email with temu info as well.
If you store the camper at your own property, you could post different prices for camping spots at different places and move to their choice before renters arrived. Safer for empty camper and costing less than leaving somewhere. Make an inventory list of what utensils are included. Payment for parking spot made in advance to pay for campground along with deposit and credit checks.
Get some of the the thicker shelf liners and put them up in your cabinets where you want the plates and coffee cups to go and turn the plates and cups upside down on the liners and it works good with keeping things from sliding around! We have them in everyone of our cabinets -also helps to protect your cabinets!! Just another lil FYI from friends in SC
Fantastic! It looks like you have changed out a few screens in your past. Zip zing and you finished so easily. You should keep the old screen as a memory of young OC and the early videos.
You really should put it at Shady Oaks and rent it at there and let Brett & Therese keep a out on it so you don’t have to worry about something happing to it,don’t have to worry about moving it all over and waste money on fuel to move it plus it would be the Otter Creek experience like you’ve been talking about doing for several months.
Yup, get a few decks of cards (kid friendly ones too like go fish and Old maid...can get from dollar store), dominoes, Yahtzee and so on. Games most and all generations are familiar with and still popular. Great rainy day additions!
Aww brought back fun time memories with those plastic cups lol.... We use to stop at that resturant, Woodyard Grill, when ever my mother in law and her husband would take the fam out on the boat to the Swanee River!! Loved their food. Great job on the screen replacement!! I've never seen anyone repair before! Where do you get new screen from and the rubber?

Any time!
Hey Willis, where are the lids for your pots? You might also want to put in a crockpot.
Well, I guess I need to get those.. lol
The 1st pan you pulled out of the box is not a frying pan. It is a broiler pan that goes in the bottom of the oven.
Tks, I thought it was a Lil funny
