Really cool idea and it worked out surprisingly well. The biggest difference is RL Milky is too steezy to do it justice 🤙

That's the one thing a skateboarding game could really improve on for me is the ability to influence my style more. You can blend animations together fairly easily, they do it all the time in games to make it seem more dynamic, so maybe you could have various animation sets of styles (mellow, steezy, aggressive, focused/technical, sketchy) and then you could blend these together with sliders to make unique animations that suit your style.
This would make filming clips a lot more bespoke and you can make your animations really suit the situation in the game. If you're in a grimey spot adding a bit more aggresion to your style just looks cool or if you are emulating the Muska boombox clip hell yeah do you want to add some steez to it. Even the very best skater is gonna be sketchy on a 40 meter rail. It just makes sense.
Sorry for the random idea dump, I started writing that first sentence and immediately I got this idea and had to write it down lol, Anyone is welcome to steal this idea, this is just a quick napkin drawing so to speak, but if someone were to put some time and effort in to it I'm sure you could come up with something cool.

man i miss donevan skatepark, wish it got ported to session. i just can't bother with xl anymore, but i do miss some of the maps.
rare for one to go from sxl to session, what made you switch?
@@burntdoug6823 I went from xl on console in 2019-2020 to Session on pc at the start of last year and fast forward to now, I finally got pretty sick of Session.. surprisingly; so I copped xl and modded the hell out of it. Glad I have both, but for now I prefer xl honestly, especially cause I skate a lot of vert/trans and I get pretty techy at times
@@AndrewBlumke coming from both games on console. Session is just downright better IMO. Skater XL isn't console friendly, also session just looks better graphics wise.

Whenever i want to prove to people that skater xl is the most realistic skating sim, hell even simulator of all time im gonna show them this video. Its crazy how good the mods are for this game. We wouldnt have those without skater xl as a base game. I just wish theyd add a stats menu for console people and more maps lol.

Question. Why don't you play session? I use to play skater XL, but on console it's very limited and well yanno. I recently switched to session and there's no turning back. Session just looks overall better and the endless customization on tweaking your stats to fit the spot you're skating is quite impressive. Graphics are pretty great

The skatepark looks awesome irl, I’d rather just watch a full video or you skating it irl than comparing it to xl
I went there a few weeks back and the small quarter pipe is in terrible condition now. This was my favourite park for years and skated it religiously when it was first built.
i noticed the SXL character didnt lick his lips after the tricks landed, gotta get a mod for that asaprocky!!
