No way in heck it was the guy. It was ABSOLUTELY the girl in the middle. Either 1. He is saying sorry and taking the blame for her, or 2. He is saying sorry for saying the funny remark which induced the fart.

I ASS-umed off the top that it was the dude who farted, but some of the comments led me to believe that it may have been the lady in the middle. It's really hard to tell. He did say "sorry", and she didn't react like she "busted a butt" like my Drill Instructors used to say. Maybe it was her laughter that allowed the trojan horse in, with an enemy at the gates. Or, maybe it was the barn door was left open and the cow got out. Whatever the case, their carbon footprint is blown for this year, like a tornado in a corn field.
