My favorites are Shu Mai, Har Gao, sticky rice in taro leaf, char siu bao, sesame ball, egg tarts, steamed rice roll with shrimp, Congee, etc I pretty much like almost everything Dim Sum. ❤
Your video reminds me of the days I used to visit Hongkong from Shenzhen city to enjoy Dim sum and Cantonese dishes. All was so good except crazy expenses..I like turnip cakes ! 😘
I use to live near here and while it's o.k. and convenient , I would hardly call it the best Dim Sum in L.A., maybe in Hollywood but L.A. includes Monterey Park, Chinatown, Gardena, Torrance, Cerritos and so on. There use to be some great dim sum in West L.A. also. This is fast food dim sum with a limited menu, although their menu seems to have grown since my last visit. Try Catch 56 Fish and Chips up the street, no Dim Sum but highly underrated for the quality and portions.
@@user-zx8xc8tw2j oh No! The owner was an awesome guy and made delicious fish , shrimp etc. I'll message him on FB and see where he is now? He considered moving to Vegas, maybe he did.
YES. THIS PLACE. When Chinatown is just out of the way, I go here. on average you pay $2+ more per item, but still a better deal than other "out of town" places like Bao and Capitol Seafood
I like char siu bao, both baked and steamed, siu mai, and egg tart, and I have a go to place for that. Thanks for the low down, I didn't even know about this place. I've got to try the shrimp wonton, the sesame balls, and after your eyes lit up, the egg tarts.
The egg tart looks as good as lunasia in Alhambra! Like melt in your mouth. I can’t wait to try. They don’t have beef rice rolls which are my mom’s favorite
The dim sums look delicious and appetizing. Your order must have total $50+...a lot to spend on a meal for one. 🤭 I live in West L.A., and hope to find my way there some day. My Go To place is Won Kok or Lucky in Chinatown L..A.., but I haven't been there since the lockdown. I order shu mai, har gow, steamed char siu bao, sesame ball, red bean cake, egg tart, sponge cake.
Funny, we have the best dim sum restaurant in Cincinnati! Uncle Yip's. Excellent video. We have soy sauce and spicy oil sauce (different recipe) but we'll have to consider that black vinegar.
That looked mighty delicious! I've never had dim sum. However, a friend of my parents was Chinese and she made something she called "manjus". They were steamed white balls with a pork and barbecue sauce like filling. The taste was sweet and sour and the pork was shredded. The outside was a thin rice like paper that made the outside and was a little sticky. She put these in a bamboo container that was steamed. They were a hit. Everyone loved them. It seems a little dim sum, doesn't it? That was all she made.
Been at that restaurant a few times and they are somewhat expensive compared to Chinatown's dim sum. Also, order their fried rice and look at the price and portion. lol They put the fried rice in this box and it's half filled like where's the rest? lol
Thanks for sharing 👍 I got tired of the many Dim Sum places in SGV626 some old things. I will hit it up this weekend before Universal Studio. Keep up your Hard Work 👍
Food looks great! interesting how they specialize in takeout. I'm having dim sum from Dim Sum Bistro in San Francisco right now. Turnip cakes, shrimp & chive steamed dumplings, steamed bbq pork bun and FAUX sharks fin dumplings (they sub vermicelli noodles in place of sharks fin). Delicious!
What does it say about my belly that I've been to all the places you are reviewing! I used to work across the street from that place. It's good but nothing like the SGV places. Definitely worth a try!
Maybe this place catch up with NBC in quality and taste. It's been years since I've been to most restaurants in MP and NBC is the one we always go back to since their food taste good.
I like the content but the thumbnails…is there a UA-cam academy where they tell everyone to look surprised? Or did that start with Mikey Chen or even way before? Either way.. nice content. 👍
The egg tart is not really a “Chinese” dim sum. It’s more technically a Hong Kong dim sum as the influence came from the Portuguese when they were ruling Macau which is just across the water from HK. 😊
The first time I ate the egg tart was in Hawaii, thirty years ago. 👌👍 I buy it when I go to the Chinatown L.A.. dim sum shops. It was my favorite dessert.
The food may be great. However, the communal experience of a big table packed with friends and family in a sit-down restaurant with tempting food carts rolling around is missing. ☹️
THE 888 RESTAURANT IN ALHAMBRA, CA MUCH BETTER. MORE DIFFERENT KIND OF DIMSUM & THE PRICE IS BETTER, THE QUALITY PRETTY GOOD. NOT 10 POINTS BUT ABOUT 8 POINTS. .
What is your favorite dim sum dish?
Thanks for watching! Please also follow my INSTAGRAM for rocking food pictures:

Chicken feet! 😊
Deep fried pork ball that is like a mochi and not the one with the sesame one. Lol.
He's so pleasant to watch and listen to. Well done Sir 👏🏽

Love everything on the table..can't choose this time..👍👍💕💕
My hubby works right next-door and loves this place! 😋
Wow
That stickey rice ball is actually really common. The one wrapped in lotus leaf that you're used to is Lo Mai Gai. That ball is Lo Mai Bao!
I love this dimsum place look so clean and the food look good....
9:53 make a GIF out of this 😂

HI please review restaurants in Santa Clarita and Valencia, CA
Egg tarts are my favorite!

I normally like to eat chicken feet and tripe along with beef balls etc
All good but your thumbnail, your pop eyes seems uncomfortable 😳
Do Korean or Japanese people like dim sum?
The food may be great. However, the communal experience of a big table packed with friends and family in a sit-down restaurant with tempting food carts rolling around is missing. ☹️
Enough food for 3 plus the camera person
🥰
made to order? that is CHEAP for fresh handmade dim sum
I ate siu mai probably more than people eat rice and I can tell that siu mai looks bad lol.
Too bad chicken feet is not on the menu. They are my favorite.
Just retired… need to hit LA woo hoo
Food was good here but horrible food poisoning here ):
😛❤❤
I grew up eating dim sum and never get tired of it.
I tried dim sum in San Francisco. It was disappointing, to say the least.
First

Fourth

Those xlb are machine made… you see them at a lot of dim sum places nowadays
