Yeah i thought the same. The Bowden Cable of the rear engine is too Long, so it starts to rev up later and only delivers 60%-ish power when you Floor it.
That's what I've been thinking. The static mount makes no sense to me. It also looks like the rear motor is mounted high as the wheels barely touch the ground.
Matt check your throttle cable throw. It sounds like your front engine is hitting wide open throttle and your only getting partial throttle on the rear engine thats my thought
Best way to learn how to weld yourself is to do a bunch of practice welds on some scrap. Test them by sticking them in the vice and pound the crap out of them with a hammer. A good weld will be stronger than your material, so if the metal fails before the weld you're good. Try some out, make some adjustments, try more.
I just learned how to weld by that exact method. Took scrap, put it together. Had my friend teaching me point out what was good and what wasn't (too slow, too fast, good heat penetration, etc.); then at the end, gave a good smacks with a small sledge and she held up just fine. It's such an incredible skill to have.

I'm currently at 10 min in the vid and am here to throw in my 2 cents. Your ghetto throttle cable is probably not giving the rear engine full throttle.
Matt, I've welded the steps on a Budget 26' Liftgate truck also the front steps closest to the diesel tank, the same type you were doing. Except I used a "J" design on each weld. Something that was taught to me by a welding shop, although I didn't work for them. I did do it right because the guy who had taught me how to do that repair rented the truck I'd repaired. Saw them and told the local dealer I'd done them right. It's not hard but you do need to make sure that you go completely around the object that you are welding.
To 100% help with the turns and possibly hills and dips, put the rear engine assembly on a single swiveling connection centered to the back of the first engine. Would require some rework of your current construction but that would allow the engines to flex when turn and also allow for more travel on hills and dips.
Hey Matt! Those small hobby welders are best for welding sheet metal for body work on cars and stuff. Maybe rent or buy a little bit heavier duty welder for welding square stock together. Plus clean up the welding surface with a flap disc? Hope this helps!
As a biker, i would ABSOLUTELY LOVE a hoodie or shirt like that, but with the eagle on the back, BIG across the back, with the wings nearly touching the sleeves, and the "Bunker Branding Co" emblem on the front left chest. That would be a bad-A shirt/hoodie.

Yeah, but the basic design of the chicken coop watering system was fine, despite all the keyboard engineers telling him it wouldn't work. Still, this go-kart project is pretty stupid, but my opinion doesn't matter.
Probably out of sink with front. Plus the front exhaust will be louder cuz its blowing hot exhaust against the rear motor. The rear motor goes into atmosphere.

hey Matt, ive seen throttle cable splitters on snow mobiles. 1 cable will throttle both engines at the same rate! on the snow machine it was 1 engine but 2 carbs
I thought that would happen 2:57 , i think you may need bigger shocks or maybe they're not an the correct angle to be able to have the range of motion you need . and you should definitely put more pressure on the rear shock so is can travel further when you go up/over stuff.
Suspension geometry is pretty tricky sometimes.. this one however is easy cuz its already in front of him.. the angle should be the same on the swingarm as it is on the frame.. instead of lifting the back wheels to mount shocks he should have lifted the whole kart.. then let both sets of coils share the up travel load.. simple

Off the engine cradle of engine #1 engineer a pivot just above the bottom of cradle. Dead center of course. Making a single attachment while loading the rear axle sharing the load. A u- joint comes to mind for the pivot. The ability to keep the wheels on the ground will keep rear wheels planted. Then the suspension will require longer travel on the rear shocks. In negotiating terrain make sure the engine frames do not contact one another. Electric fuel pump would solve fuel issue.
Hey man btw I don't think there is a fuel problem... the carburettors run of the fuel in the bowls and don't use as much as they get so that shouldn't be an issue... I think you need to tighten that homemade throttle cable extension at the pedal. It looked very loose in the last video that way you don't get to pull the throttle all the way as it should
