@KarQ Mei was supposedly buffed from 55dps to 70dps on June 28th, but this patch says she was buffed from 65dps to 70dps. Any thoughts on this inconsistency from the devs? Should Mei's primary fire dps actually be 75 now?

When ever i see a Zarya, i always expect the hole team with her is just basicaly any types that can get in there and kill, and a pocket healer nearby. I've even had a match where enemy Zarya just went in and killed everyone 1 by 1, and my team only did one thing. Spread out. Not even grouping up to kill her when she was alone.

she's still gonna be very weak to poke because of her limited range and more projection bubbles being put out also means she's gonna have fewer bubbles for herself.
It's going to be so annoying when she bubbles her team mates tho. Imagine a bubbled pharah ult, reaper ult, sombra ult and not to mention bubbling a mercy resurrection, the list goes on! 225 bubble will make it impossible to break.

One of the biggest complaints I hear about the most recent meta is how difficult it is to secure kills with how much healing there is going around... so it's absolutely wild to me that Blizzard decided to make Zarya even better at preventing people from killing her allies.
well, they also nerfed support's survivability around the board by nerfing their passive health regen.
Your complaint about the Zarya buff regarding the heavy healing meta does not really make sense - Blizzard is buffing a tank that has been fairly underpowered (at least compared to Orisa/Winston/Rammatra) and buffing Zarya's ally bubble ability is not going to absolutely break the ttk, in fact just Orisa having fortify and a million abilities, Rams block and shield, etc. are more problematic and add more frustration to the healing meta than a Zarya buff. What Blizzard should be doing is decreasing the overall healing uptime and perhaps some healing numbers for some supports, along with nerfing tanks' durability (which they kinda did both in this patch) so healing isn't as effective. Enabling more burst damage heroes to shine or just toning support healing and some cooldowns is one way to stop the problem and that's what you should be complaining about - only nerfing Baptiste and not even his immortality field which they've buffed constantly for some reason, not the Zarya buff. Zarya+Bastion may be a problem, yes, but the effectiveness of supports contributed more to the problem.
@@IHydross Yeah bro great argument, let's compare a semi-balanced hero with counterplay to several heroes that have been broken or HAD been. Instead of just nerfing those heroes how about we buff all the balanced tanks and make them broken! just remove power creep from the start and nerf the shit that is broken rather than buffing heroes that are underperforming it's a pretty simple concept LMFAO

@@IHydross What I'm talking about is less game balance and more about how the game feels to play. The changes to Zarya make her better at doing something that is a very pronounced problem in the current meta: making any given team member harder to kill. This is the same reason that Goats was such a hated meta: nobody felt like they could make any progress because it was impossible to kill anybody, and having a meta with such extreme healing plus a character who can distribute 225 HP shields at the press of a button... you might as well have 3 supports and the tank is just whoever gets caught. Is it balanced? Maybe. Is it fun to play against? Absolutely not.

Zarya meta is probably gonna be the most annoying one ever. You can’t even swap to a zarya counter like Rein , Winston or ramattra without one of their damage players going into bastion which melts all three of them.
Ram is ok against bastion imo
@@Paul-fw9kr but that requires ram to only use nemisis on block which is one of rams only useful abilities and I’m pretty sure reconfiguration is a shorter cooldown than nemisis

As a top 500 support player I was hardstuck diamond last season with a 32% win rate on her. She really wasn’t very good. She’s only good now because more people are playing Orisa, but Orisa is so strong right now that it’s basically a game of who’s supports are better. I’d say this was necessary bc it gives her a chance of being more meta at high ranks, but this will definitely be a big problem for plat and below. These buffs also ensure that Zarya puts orisa in check and gives her a better chance against Rein, Winston, and Ram.
She's still gonna be limited to her range and weak to poke.

Zarya was in a great spot the previous patch. It was annoying to deal with, but not overbearing. But they are now just over buffing her for no reason. I feel like they are doing this to change the meta and keep the game feeling different. This is just stupid.

Just to reiterate, from the Development team, the Zarya buffs only affect the Barrier you give to an *ALLY.* The barrier you give to *YOURSELF* is still a 10 second cooldown, 200 health, and it's "original" size

@@idclol2883 thats completely untrue, because alongside that change they buffed the overtime damage so she got more healing in compensation. there were people who preferred the 50 burst and the bonus bleed damage rather than the 80 burst and low bleed damage.
They really gave Mei the Puff and Sting combo from TF2

As essentially an Ashe OTP, I have absolutely no clue why she got that buff lmao. Just prio reloading between fights and sneak in 3-4 rounds in a fight after an elim while the passive is active. Seems like a weird change but guess I’m not complaining. (Also bring back the Bob ult charge “bug” 😭)
Ashe reload speed + Dps passive = Infinite ashe ammo

I feel like they should split it and let Ashe gain ult charge during Bob, but not let Bob himself get ult charge.

@@madtonesbr I’m pretty sure before Ashe would get ult charge while Bob was up, but only for anything Ashe (the player) herself did excluding Bob. I think this is why most people were confused when they said it was a bug since it has been that way since release and seemed like a relatively balanced special interaction
a thing about the bastion nade jump fix: with the changes to his nade at the start of season fix came a bug (apparently) that made the nade deal about half the vertical knockback as before, this is now reverted so there isnt much change aside from being able to actually use it for jumping again
we can now jump up to 8metter
The thumbnail lists Kiriko as getting nerfed, despite her change being a quality of life change (usually considered a buff).

I’m mainly confused with Zarya as the buffs are apparently only on projected barrier. But aren’t bubbles on shared pools now? How does particle barrier still have 10 seconds on CD while projected is 8 seconds?
If both are still shared pools of bubbles on 8 seconds CD, its a huge change
They share the cooldown, but whichever bubble you use determines the cooldown for that use of a bubble
So if you click both bubbles with projected one first, then the first one will have an 8 second cooldown and the second one a 10 second cooldown
Whenever you use projected bubble the cooldown of your next bubble is sped up by 2 seconds.
I believe, at least early on in OW2, the cooldowns did used to be different for the projected vs self barrier. So this is probably the same. If she bubbles someone else, she gets THAT bubble back in 8 seconds but if she bubbles herself, it will still take 10s to get back to her. Two teammate bubbles = 16s and two self = 20s.
Keep in mind, the bubble buffs only affect zaryas allies, not herself. Her bubble is not buffed

Might be a dumb thing, but they really need to give friendly and enemy Bastions different ult lines. So often I'll hear the beeps and wonder if that's ours or theirs? Do I push on it or plan to leg it to safety.
I think he's the only hero with that or maybe it's him & wrecking ball. Either way really annoying when he's popular.

They're different but I'm still caught off guard constantly. I have to call out to my teammates specifically if it's ours or enemy.
I mean one of them has an alarm siren paired with it, shouldn't be that hard to keep them apart
I'm pretty sure the difference is that for enemy/own ult, it's the first half of that one phrase of ride of the valkyries, and the friendly ult is the second half.

I am enjoying hero mastery far more than I thought I would. I hit top 17 on Rein agent level! I love the speedrunning aspect as at this point Im at the max number of points so its about getting them the most efficiently

In the June patch, they said they changed Mei's primary fire DPS from 55 to 70. No patches contained her since then until this one today, where they said they changed it from 65 to 70... so, which patch is wrong? You also didn't include a before and after for Mei, just the after, so does this mean they didn't even buff it?
It would be great if they added a notification for when you get stuck with bastion grenade. that shit as support when you think you didn't get stuck so you hold onto your defensive cooldown and then you just die and lose the fight
Now got bug at the lobby audio similar to the ingame audio bug in season 5
5:47 could be nice if Ashe dynamite was similar, because someone running into it and bouncing randomly it makes it even more hard to hit...
I like how they are trying to make Zarya play more defensively like OW1 without admitting giving her 2 bubbles was a bad idea and reverting her back to OW1 with 2 separate cooldowns.
Im missing a bug fix.. Since the start of progression with the levels of heroes and game modes and such, competitive mystery heroes is being progressed as the normal mystery heroes. I only play the comp version but that one is still at level 1 while normal mystery heroes is at lvl 40 or something. I know its not a really big thing but it is something i like to see fixed. I mean, why have the level progression stuff if it isn't begin tracked properly? I hope ppl read this and it gets some light because i haven't seen anyone else make a comment about this.

The change to bastion is good simply because no one aiming a headshot with artillery. It's just random funny damage.

Makes it a lot easier to chase key foes down, so mobility heroes are benefited.

Deep chill is such a weird and unnecessary mechanic.
If Blizz really wants to Mei to be a combo hero; Just change her icicle shot to a shotgun blast;
The slow fluctuating between 30-50% is very clunky and becomes worse if enemies are able to survive the burst combo.
Maybe just leave it capped as long as primary fire is applied; remove the "bonus damage" and change her right click.
Her current combo works if the target does not receive healing or has more than 250 HP because the deep chill expires before the target becomes low enough for the right click to be lethal.
Back to season 1 zarya dominance we go

@@courage7347 No, it's only for the one that you give to other people. When you use that one, the cooldown that you'll see below for both bubbles will be 8 seconds, but if you use the self-bubble, the cooldown for both will be 10 seconds (just like before)

It's understandable for orisa to increase its fortify CD, especially facing the hog's ult.
In order to face hog's ult you'd need to someone to actually play hog and this doesn't happen

She's so fun, I just picked her up and been dominating. She's high risk high reward. Tank isn't in a good spot in the game right now but with her the excitement of getting into a charge rhythm with her pays off a lot. I even find it fun against good teams smart enough not to shoot the bubble and it's like a puzzle game, find ways to get them to shoot it (turn your back when you know they'll go for you, start bubbling teammates after a period of only bubbling yourself, etc.)
