What is neurological deterioration? If I develop drop foot over the course of a month is that degeneration? If my ED goes from a C+ to an F in a matter of weeks is that degeneration. In 75 and otherwise healthily except for a latent infectious agent in my body that I must take antibiotics for, indefinitely. The infection made it necessary to attempt 4 knee replacements before one was done without subsequent infection. This did too but a pic line of anti biotics got rid of before the joint was effected. I’m walking on the new modified joint now. It was implanted in June. Then came the infection which slowed recovery down. But I’m moving again. Walked 2 miles twice last week no sweat, we’ll, not much sweat. They had to remove 6” of my femur and a bunch of bone and tissue that previous infection had destroyed. I used a surgeon in a small town hospital and did not vet his credentials. I was told this was a “no brainer” procedure. It’s not. I would recommend not doing it if you are over 50.

I revived an epidural shot from my pain management doctor and a few days later I began having attacks of dysesthesia. Awful, Dante-esque pain!

*I'd advise trying a good conservative program first like the one in **_Treat Your Own Spinal Stenosis_** at Amazon.*

I have severe stenosis on my spine L4 L5 . Find it impossible to have any comfort lying in bed. So I get very little sleep. Any suggestions please. I would really appreciate it.

Try a 3 inch memory foam pad on top of your mattress . Helped me some.

Try to sleep in recliner because it releases the pressure of your spinal stenosis. It does with me. I have the same problem as you. I have stenosis on my Paine L4 and L5. It’s hard to sleep in bed. Recliner is best with legs up. Hope it works for you.

I put a pillow under my thighs, that help me elevate a little my hips from the surface of the bed and relieve the pain.

An old comment but thought i'll give a reply for future readers who may be keen.
Spinal stenosis may result in erectile dysfunction, but mostly in severe cases of spinal nerve compression.
For individuals experiencing ED due to spinal related conditions, it is highly recommended to seek professional treatment due to it's severity, reduction in quality of life (confidence, sexual pleasure) & identifying of any other possible health conditions.
