The Yuji-Nobara simultaneous Black Flash with the rock music goin' in the background would have been personality-defining for me if I had seen it in middle or high school lol
Something I find rly funny especially in this arc which I’m glad was later chabged is that because the original mangaka didnt let the anime staff include the narrator, who has the tendency to yap a lot in this portion of the manga, for season 1, they had to try and fix it by basically making Nobara a super genius on all things yuji.
The moment of both Yuji and Nobara hitting a Black Flash at the same time will always be cool to me. As we know, Black Flash isn't something any Sorcerer can do at will. It's more of a luck thing. A moment of being in the zone. So Nobara hitting her first one along with Yuji doing his is even more wild. This whole episode in general was a nice showing for Nobara. Little side note but man, that Kamo kid(Blood Manipulation guy) being named after someone known as the worst sorcerer in history has to suck. Majorly. I mean, maybe he can turn the name into a positive thing. But still. Would not be a situation I'd want to be in. Last but not least, Sukuna continues to mock Yuji for being alive and tells him that Yuji living will lead to the suffering of others. A traitor is in the midst of our main cast. And Choso, the last of the three brothers we met knows that his brothers are gone. Geto tells him that Yuji's group were the ones that did it. As Mahito looks on with a smile.
The Kamo clan is one of the big three so while there was a stain on their record a long time ago people have accepted that they are strong and moved on. He is just considered to be a black sheep of the clan not really a reflection of the clan at current.
They describe black flash as a flow state, so not only did they both hit it at the same time, they did it while working in synch with each other. They were fucking drifting like Jaeger pilots.
Nobara's thing had always been deeply feeling others' vulnerabilities and using them to heradvantage, whether it's by exploiting her enemies' weaknesses, or by perfectly matching her allies to protect them. It was mostly with Yuji (same-braincell moments when they were together with Megumi in the episode 3), but also with Panda (during the exchange event, before they got separated by Mechamaru). Cursed energy and techniques always carry the imprint of their wielder's personality, and it's cool that Nobara's been able to pull that off - because, to be frank, I don't think any other character in the series would be able to fall in such perfect sync with their ally, even the Cursed Womb brothers that are literally linked by their blood. (Except maybe for Todo, but then again, Todo is literally built different)

Someone already commented on it, but about the promotion to grade 1 it’s not related with their high school grade/year. Jujutsu Sorcerers and Curses are graded based on their power level, from lowest to highest: Level 4,3,2,1, and Special grade where it’s basically anomaly (hence, Special). The main trio were not grade 1 sorcerers before even though they are year 1 high school. Just like Panda, maki, and salmon are year 2 high school but they’re not necessarily grade 2 sorcerers. The full grade of the students were presented during Panda vs Mechamaru fight, if you remember. There are only four special grade sorcerers: Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru (stitch forehead), Okkotsu Yuta (protagonist in JJK 0), also someone you’ll see in Season 2.

Mei Mei and Todo weren’t really recommending them to stay on as first years, they were recommending them for promotion to first grade sorcerer, since the main trio each took out a special grade curse: the finger bearer and the two brothers. And first grade is the highest any normal sorcerer can hope to achieve. Nanami for example is first grade, and he is STRONG. So it’s a big deal. Other first grade we’ve seen are Todo, Mei Mei and Yaga the principal. Gojo of course is special grade but…he ain’t exactly normal either… Also, Maki is 4th grade (the lowest), but that isn’t really indicative of her actual power, more her family intentionally holding her back. She’s a lot stronger than a typical 4th grade, which both Miwa and Hanami noticed.
So "First Year" just means its their first year at the high school. Remember, they go to a jujutsu sorcerer high school. Japanese high schools are separated into first year, second year, and third year. Nobody gets sent home. I think you might be confusing "First Year" with "First Grade", which is the rank that they need a recommendation to achieve.
When you start season 2, PLEASE WATCH THE BLU-RAY VERSION. The 2nd season had to be dimmed and ghosted due to a new TV timeslot in Japan, which resulted in a lot of action scenes being either unfollowable or so dark you can't make out what's happening (which could normally be looked over, but this season is VERY action orientated with some stellar animation to boot). PLUS the blu-ray overhauled a very vital episode with new scenes that they couldn't finish during the initial production of the second season.
@@SeanTanktop while annoying its not as bad as they said at least to me, right now u would have to buy the blu-rays which is pricy as they sell in groups of 3 episodes for 60ish each and the whole season hasn't even been released yet its probably not worth the trouble, mappa treats the initial blu-rays more like collectors items but a normal blu-ray release will come eventually and the new versions of the episodes on streaming services as well but that will be awhile there is another way of course but i don't know if u would wanna get into that its probably again not worth the trouble

Honestly, you don't have to watch the Blu-ray version for every episode but like the invidual above explained, there is one episode that is heavily improved upon(season 2 episode 17). If anything else, you guys should watch the Blu-ray version of that particular episode

I was hoping someone let you know, if you want to experience the story in a way that’s easier to keep up with, most agree it’s best to watch the first 5 episodes of Season 2 (it’s a flashback arc) THEN watch the movie. But it’s totally ok that you watched the movie first! The JJK 0 movie/manga story was actually the first thing the author Gege Akutami wrote regarding this world. It was meant to be a simple one-shot story for Jump Giga. However it became popular so he was offered to make it into a series with Shonen Jump magazine. So that’s when he decided to create a new MC to focus on (Yuji Itadori) instead of just Yuta. Can’t wait to see y’alls reaction! Season 2 is quite a ride!

Well, now the movie and then it's time for Peak Kaisen. I'm really curious what you will think of season 2, many people had to hate it because it's popular but season 2 punched the show up to my personal top 5. You might already know but season 2 not only has a new director but the animators also had shit conditions and 60% less of the time they should've had, that makes the beauty of season 2 even more stunning. Also it's probably good you watch season 2 directly after season 1 since there are other reaction channels not understanding some things of season 2 because they forgot season 1, season 1 is basically a big set up for everything in season 2. Get ready.
i dont know if youve started season 2 but if you havent i would really recommend watching the blu ray version it really betters the experience in a lot of ways

The TV version had to be dimmed and ghosted (having multiple frames overlap) to prevent seizures due to a new TV timeslot in Japan. The blu-ray not only removes all of that, but adds new scenes they weren't finished during the initial airing. TLDR: The blu-ray has better fights.
There is a ranking that includes sorcerers no matter what year they are in, or if they are students. For example: 2'nd year-1st grade Aoi Todou. Right under him is Mechamaru, also a 2nd year, but a semi-first grade. Tldr: school years only serves to know the age of the students, their class is their prestige attained by recommendations.
So the recommendation is for Grade 1 or promotions. Since they all fought and killed special grade curse "On their own" they qualify to be evaluated for higher ranking status. For the record, Todo, Nanami and Mechamaru are all grade 1 sorcerers with Mechamaru being semi grade 1 which is almost Special grade. Special grade sorcerers are Gojo, Yuki and Yuta... So the power of special grade is huge even among each other.

Thus the selection process for 1st grade sorcerers is tough and starts with a recommendation process, this ensures that even people like maki who had the zenin clan trying to keep her from moving up cant have that much control on who makes 1st grade sorcerer. In order to become sorcerer 1st grade you must first receive a recommendation from current 1st grade. Then you would be promoted to semi-first grade sorcerer, after that you would go on missions with 1st grades to assess if you are good enough to move up. Once you complete the assessment phase you either advance and become first grade or fall back to grade 2 if you weren't good enough.
Yall should watch the movie before season two because it fills a lot of plot holes that you wouldn't understand in season 2 and it gives a lot of backstory for certain main plot points!
Sukuna was alive way before the era the half curse half human brothers was born in so he definitely wasn’t the sorcerer…also it’s not every cursed womb just these specific curses are half and half and they are called death paintings.
Recommendation for next season.....please stop talking when they're giving exposition. Season 2 has a lot of important exposition. If you miss it, you won't understand a damn thing afterwards. And as a Manga reader I assure you it gets pretty complicated afterwards.
