  • They weren't just hanging out on our tent stay/pole. They were looking for a place to build a nest! Take a look at the knots the Red Headed Weaver can tie... Using his beak and feet! Wonder what we'd call his knots? They seem rather complex not to mention strong.

    Last year a masked weaver attached his nest to my bird feeder, I thought it was genius placement with food on tap but the females showed no interest.
