Lego clearance on anything is a mad dash to try and beat resellers honestly. Some in my area I know have inside communication with retailers. I usually try for retiring sets every year as opposed to buying the shiny new sets of the year to save money, but it can be a headache, especially around the holidays.
The Walmart stores in my area have most of their Lego sets behind locked glass cases now. You can't pick up the sets and look at the back of the boxes, and it can take some time to get someone to open the cases so you can get a set to look at or buy. So I go elsewhere for Lego purchases now. The only upside to the locked cases is that the sets stay with the correct price tag.
I've seen people use the Walmart app in store, scanning products to confirm the final discounted price . . . sometimes the price has been lowered beyond the listed clearance price but not reflected in the price tag. Worth a try . . .
I was just at Costco (CA) and they have the just released LOVE art set for $65 and it’s already listed as back order on Lego’s site. Needless to say it came home with me.
I'd say too early. Our Walmart clearance starts after the new stock for the new year actually fully arrives usually by end of February start of March and into April. Right now, it's just the leftovers from the Christmas rush that no one wanted. I grabbed a bunch of Cozy Houses this past year for my city and just made my first complete(modular) residential cozy house on my channel recently.
The Walmart near me is always crazy. After the last time someone hit me with their cart I vowed not to go back inside. I use pickup only. I salute your bravery!
I was on the Celebrity Eclipse last week in Aruba and saw the toy stores you walked too. That was a long walk for the heat that day! That’s some Lego commitment
This round of clearance at WalMart seemed a bit weak to me. For example, last August I snagged several deals at close to 50% off and more… Cozy house at $30, a recycling truck and birdhouse for $14 ea, a Disney Animation Icons for $23, a technic firefighter aircraft and 2 large Ninjago sets for 50% off. Mostly not sets at the top of everyone’s radar for investing but we’ll see. Shouldn’t lose money anyway :)
You need to go the day right after Christmas. I got one friends Lego advent calendar for $20 and I bought two friends Lego Disney princess advent calendar’s for $20 each will save them for gifts. They were marking down everything that day
Crimson fire for $27 such a rip off, its only 136 pieces. I avg each Lego piece to .10 cents a piece, so I value its cost at $13.60. Its the best way to avg Lego cost, also popular themes can be worth more based on that, so some pieces as low as 7 cents, some up to 15 cents, so 10 cent avg works best for me

Dude! You passed on the Mars and Rockets Space Base? Have mercy! Not I said the cat!

Going to buy the Lego Titanic set for my birthday!
How did I not know you had another UA-cam channel!!! I always watch the cruise channel. I love legos too!!
We need more star wars lego in our lives, in this house :)
I’ve never felt Walmart’s clearance prices are that good. Target is the king of clearance pricing.
Going to the wrong Walmarts brotha. Some deals are craaazy and only in-store.
Toni, I think there is a Brix convention coming to California. You might want to check it out 🤗
Legos have always been expensive. I struggled when my son was a little to afford a nice size Lego. I saved coins all year and cashed in alum cans 👍🏼
Probably a lot of brick link sellers parting sets out to sell pieces. I couldn’t do it, but somebody probably is! LOL
I went to Target on New Year's Day and almost nothing was left on the shelves.
When are you going to do another trip to bricks and minifigs? Those videos are so cool!
Better Luck next time
Thanks for sharing

Wow... They looked pretty picked over for sure. Hope you get some surprise finds.
The Walmart near my home in Toronto wasn't much better. The markdowns weren't that good either.
I remember a time clearance shopping was worth it, now it is just a waste of time

Had to move on to gundam because kego was too expensive. Even on clearance the prices are crazy
Are you related to Sarasota Tim?
Have a slight resemblance and he loves Walmart to😂
Lucky. All my walmarts have lego behind glass now 😢

Concerned for you right off the bat. Way too much panting on a leisurely walk through the store, Tony.

Get your heart checked, a sign of heart failure, luckily I got my breathlessness checked out and was life saving my move

Tony, I see you’ve got some extra money burning in your wallet since you didn’t go over budget at Lego 1/1, lol.
Way too high priced
